We stayed in the Maisonette Suite which has it's own pool overlooking the water that is shared with 3 other suites. It also had a private hot tub :) on the second floor with a view that is unbelievable!! The location of the hotel is right on the walkway with all the shops and restaurants so no need to climb many stairs which makes this hotel even more desirable. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating from picking us up from the airport to answering any request within minutes. The included breakfast was unlimited, delicious and served to our room every moring on time! Could not have asked for a better place to stay!

We booked this trip through a travel agent and she booked us at the Premium property instead of the Santorini Secrets Suites and Spa. The Premium room is a little odd in term of decorating, a little like a Florida motel, which is odd bc the Suites and Spa property is decorated so beautifully and the Premium patio overlooks the main walkway in Oia. Thousands of people will walk by your hot tub and patio throughout the day. Due to the heat our room smelled horrible. We complained the first day and they came up and cleaned the drains. The second morning the smell was hideous. We spoke to management again and they came up into the room with us. They apologized for the horrific smell and said that due to the heat the septic was backing up. They moved us to a gorgeous room in the Suites and Spa section and it was amazing. It’s like a dream down there and so private. The only negative thing about both properties was the breakfast. It was less than average. I’ve seen a few other reviews commenting on their mediocre breakfast and I really think if the hotel would up their breakfast game it would be a game changer. Their eggs Benedict was super runny eggs, a giant cold cut piece of cheap ham on un-toasted white bread and covered in sauce 😝. The second day we got custom omelets and those were much better. All in all we enjoyed our time at the second location and I would highly recommend just paying a little extra and getting an amazing room at the Santorini Secrets Suites and Spa property. The concierge, Alex, is also amazing.

Kindly note that the heat was due to the non-operation of Α/C, this occurred after repeated power outages on the island those days. Although it was very difficult, due to low availability our Team did its best to make your stay pleasant and moved you to our sister hotel Santorini Secret Suites & Spa. Furthermore, we are surprised and sad by your comments (it was less than average) about our breakfast. Secret Premium is in an ideal location. Location is not in a crowded area and everything is nearby. We liked it as we didn't have to go up and down the stairs too much :-) The guest rooms for both Secret Premium and Secret Suites & SPA had the best view of the Caldera from sunrise to sunset. How you see it in the photos is exactly what it is!! ALL the staff were GREAT! I like the vibe that most of them are young and full of energy. Of course our host Alex was AMAZING! He is smart, full of knowledge of anything that you ask him about the property, about restaurants in Oia, etc. He's really funny too! ... "We miss you ALEX!!" My husband and I had Secret Key (one of the signature drinks of the hotel) almost every afternoon during our stay...thank you to the sweet bartender...apologies I forgot your name! Alex please tell her I miss her and secret key! To all the staff of the hotel (the drivers who drove us from the airport and back; the pretty young ladies at the reception who always gave us their welcoming smiles; the guys who carried our luggages upon check-in and check-out; the guy who delivered our breakfast everyday in our room; the cleaning ladies who always made up our room; to Seurell (I hope I got this right) who drove us around Santorini ; and of course to our dear Alex...THANK YOU SO MUCH for making my 50th birthday a memorable one. My family and I had an amazing time. We will be back!!

I simply LOVE the staff of this hotel. All of them were so warm, friendly, inviting - and at the same time professional. From the moment we stepped off the car, until we reached our room, Iro gave us an elegant introduction to the amenities and the island. It all felt smooth and luxurious. Iro also took her time to give us excellent restaurant and activity recommendations. With this local knowledge, we felt we were in on the "secrets" of Santorini! A perfect compliment to a beautiful hotel & destination.

My wife, Kristen and I stayed at Santorini Secret on from 12 May to 15 May 2019 and upon check in we informed our host Alex, the serious issue of the hundreds of bugs and the room not being cleaned. There were a combination of dead and living bugs scattered throughout the unit. This was horrifying to experience and not something you expect when paying close to $500/night. My wife and I live in SF and travel to 5 star hotels all over the world and have never experienced this infestation and to top it off the lack of response from the staff!! After informing the staff about 3 times they finally came the next day and cleaned the room but we lived a night through this mess. Long story short, after having the bug infestation and a hot tub not working for our 3 nights, upon checkout the staff verbally assaults my wife. I raise this issue to the management via email and they make up false allegations that we were rude!! Just a warning to stay away from Santorini Secret you will end up getting hundreds of bugs in your room!!! FYI - the reference number for my hotel stay is: 3278613325 and I am disputing all charges with my Chase credit card!

Dear Vikram and Kristen, Following your threatening emails, we were waiting patiently for your negative review. Santorini Secret Premium is a proud ambassador of Greek philoxenia and all of our guests feel more than pampered and delighted during their stay in our premises. Something that is obvious by the total of our reviews. After spending 3 nights in our Secret family (we use the word family as our guests usually call us after their departure from our famous and well-established hotel) we are truly disappointed with your attitude. The reviews of our previous guests speak louder than our own words, but since you decided to move on with your extortions and try to cause damage to our property for your own profiteering goals, it is our turn to stand our ground and defend our valued Secret Family. This time with our true side of the story! First of all, it is really sad from your side to claim that we did not take any action about the ‘infestation of bugs’. After you informed Alex, your personal concierge during your stay, you were given immediately the reason of the situation. Due to heavy rain on the island this winter and spring, there was a general issue with harmless flies in the area and despite the amount of 455.80 € that our hotel spent for extra disinfestation, our admirable Housekeepers were giving an everyday struggle against a natural phenomenon. The minute you informed us that flies had appeared again: 1. We brought you extra insect repellents and 2. Since we clean the rooms twice every day, we asked the Housekeepers to keep an extra eye on your suite. We know exactly all of the actions that we took so that we make you feel well-taken care of since we keep written notice of everything on daily base. After solving the issue, you never reported another complain again during your stay regarding any bug situation. Therefore, it is pretty suspicious for us that this little natural issue turned out to be so important for you only after your departure and especially after you denied in the beginning to pay for your pricy personal expenses in our hotel, during your stay. If the issue was so important and not solved as you claim, why did you not mention it again to Alex while you were hanging out with him by the pool, having a good time with the rest of our team and socializing with other guests of the Hotel? A possible refund could have been asked from your side from the first day and not through threatening emails, many days after your departure. As far as the hot tub is concerned, you NEVER complained that the hot tub was not working. Instead, you simply asked for the temperature to be raised! Again, Alex came within 3 minutes and checked the water. He pointed out that it was very hot already but since he respected your personal opinion, he raised the temperature exactly from 34.1 degrees Celsius to the maximum of 38! Nevertheless, as soon as you required for higher temperature, we rushed to satisfy your inquiry. The next days, we know very well that you enjoyed your hot tub since our Housekeepers informed us that they were wiping water that was coming from your jacuzzi from the common swimming pool area. Once again, you did not complain a second time for your hot tub. Only after your departure. As for our Assistant Manager, Mrs. Olga, we are more than proud to have this polite and decisive woman in our team handling situations like yours. Her 20 years of experience in hospitality allows her to deal with YOUR FALSE allegations and not hers, since you never specify what exactly are her lies. In contrast, it was Mrs. Olga who received a phone call in the middle of the night from a terrified girl from our Front Desk Team. When you asked for the check-out procedure to take place in your room, refusing to come down to the reception as all the 5* Hotels require, our colleague from the Front Desk in charge of our team did an exception just for you and brought you the final invoices in your room. A decision she has deeply regret. When you opened the door, both of you were half-naked and also closed the door behind her, making her feel extremely uncomfortable. Then, inviting her to sit on your bed, you denied the bill with your personal expenses and started talking to her very rudely. You ended up going to the bathroom covering your body with a tiny towel and slamming the door in her face. Finally, after causing a huge shock to the girl, your wife agreed to come to the reception and check all the restaurant and bar charges from the receipts you had already SIGNED. There, the Restaurant Manager came himself to explain everything in detail and that was when our colleague finally felt safety because she was no longer alone with two half-naked people asking her to sit on their bed and shouting at her face! Until today, our Colleague from the Front Desk suffers psychological trauma and many times we discouraged her from her will to sue you! The only reason for that is because we wanted to forget your behavior and also let you leave without having problems with the police. So, you can compare our goodwill for your in-room check-out in contrast to your slamming door in our face. I think it is pretty obvious who was the rude one! Now, since you claim to have stayed in many 5* Hotels during your trips around the world, could you please explain to us why you did not respect our policy for the check-out to be held at the reception like everywhere that you are supposed to have stayed before? In addition, you refused to pay the amount of 3€ per night which is the accommodation tax, saying that you have never heard of something similar before, while various taxes with different names apply in different countries around the world and you should be aware of this claiming that you are a frequent traveller. Something you should know that is paid during check-out from your previous trips, as you claim. Finally, since you have travelled that much, could you please explain to us why you have only 2 trip advisor contributions at the moment? You don’t have the profile of such a great and strong-opinion traveller as you say. In conclusion, you harmed our employee, our Secret Family, you targeted our manager in person and now, after threatening emails, you try your best to harm our reputation! All for the sake of free vacation! Your review is actually a great opportunity for us to show our philosophy in public. All of our guests, regardless nationality, color, religion or sexual preferences are valuable and precious for us. The minute they walk in Secret they are in the best hands and we are their new family that makes reality anything they have ever dreamed of. We celebrate together birthdays, honeymoons and anniversaries and we keep in touch for years after their departure. And as we said previously, our reviews in all of our properties speak louder than words! We wish you good luck with your dispute, we hope our Colleague from the Front Desk will not chase you legally and we declare that we will not suffer again so-called travellers who want to stay in 5* hotels for free!
