An outstanding alternative to the tremendously expensive caldera side hotels.

My husband, sister in law and I visited Santorini for five nights in September. We are thrilled with our stay at Fileria Suites.

The hotel is a very short distance from the caldera side of the island…..much less than a half of a block in distance so a very quick and easy walk to the views, restaurants and shops.

The hotel is new so the rooms are very clean, pretty and modern. The bed is very comfortable and the linens are nice. My only suggestion for improvement is to provide guests with a nightlight. Our room was not a suite, but it arranged well and of a good size for our needs.

Breakfast is ordered the day before and then delivered to your room at a prescheduled time. There are several excellent choices on the menu. Of special note is the special breakfast breads…they are excellent.

Dora at reception is amazing. She always did her job with a smile, great professionalism, and a very charming personality. Although she must deal with hundreds of people who pass through the hotel on their vacations, Dora made us feel special and she went beyond expectations to make sure our stay was memorable.

I’m sure caldera side hotels provide an amazing Santorini experience, but for those who don’t have that type of budget, Fileria Suites is a wonderful place to stay.

My husband and I stayed at Fileria Suites during our honeymoon. Since we were on a long trip, staying at multiple hotels, we tried to save money where we could and we decided we didn't need to stay right on the caldera because we would still see it from almost everywhere else. This was a perfectly situated hotel, only a street behind the caldera and close to everything. It did kind of stink that there wasn't a pool but for anyone else considering this hotel, I would suggest visiting Liyoyerma Pool Bar. You can rent lounge chairs for €5 as long as your order drinks, which aren't too expensive.

Anyways, the room was very nice, clean and comfortable but the bathroom did have a slight sewage smell which seems to be an unfortunate truth of anywhere on the island. The best part of the hotel was the made to order breakfast. Each day, you can choose from two items (eggs, yogurt, etc) in addition to pastries, cake, orange juice, and your choice of coffee and they bring it to your room at an agreed upon time. It was the best breakfast we had all vacation long.

One thing we weren't aware of was that Santorini loses power pretty often and it did one of the nights we were there. There were candles in the room that we were allowed to use which was both nice and terrifying at the same time. I'm not sure how comfortable I feel with other people lighting candles in their rooms but then again, I guess it's no different than people being able to light them in apartments.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for those looking to stay on somewhat of a budget but still wanting a nice room.

I stayed at Fileria suites for 6 nights, and I had two reservations with a room type change from Family Suite to Junior Suite. Both room types were well laid out and spacious. The hotel is very clean and offers good wifi. The location in Oia was convenient and just a less than 4minutes walking distance to a lot of interesting sites in Oia. Don’t expect much of a view from the hotel - if that’s what you are looking for then I’d recommend staying at a place facing the Caldera for part of the trip (but stay out of Oia proper, its so crowded! You only need to be there for the sunset really).

The highlights of Fileria suites are 1) the breakfast included which is pretty yummy 2) the Front desk team are available for almost all of the day till ~11pm. Vicky and Elsa were very helpful with reservations. Every place we researched was booked for us, and they also helped us with a car rental on short notice! We also did a boat tour and after researching several companies went with the one Vicky recommended (Caldera Yachting), really good experience if you have the time!

We had a great stay at Fileria suites in August 2021, we stayed there for 6 nights.
The position is perfect, one minute walking from the Oia centre. This is great because you don’t have to move the car/look for the parking, Santorini can be very crowded in August.
The hotel is new, very very clean, very comfortable beds and very nice style. Breakfast is served in the room and you order it the night before. Good quality and variety, if I have to give a suggestion would be useful to have more slots available at the same time, otherwise you need to plan carefully the breakfast time in advance for all the days you are staying.
A special mention for the reception guys, all of them very helpful but biggest thanks goes to Dora that helped us with a lot of suggestions and bookings, also very last minute.
I 100% suggest this place! We felt at home.

This hotel is positioned just of the main walkway in the center of Oia. They offer free parking with your own fob. The reception girl Vicky was so helpful she is a credit to her employers. Check in was easy rooms very clean and all controls covered to reduce Covid transfer. Breakfast is delivered to your room at agreed time by a waiter that sets a table on your own balcony and leaves you to enjoy a very nice meal Excellent hotel excellent Staff I highly recommend this location to you and yours

We had a great time in Santorini at this centralized hotel in Oia. Vicky, at the front desk, was more than helpful with our numerous questions. Hot breakfast was delivered to our door at the time we requested. Eggs to order, bread, croissants, plus meat if you wanted it. We even had cake every day for breakfast, which we saved until later as a treat. The rain shower was the best one we had in our 6 week trip. We had a room in the front (113) which required no stairs for us to go out to the street - but not noisy like you might expect. It’s reasonably priced and therefore doesn’t have the cliff/caldera views, but isn’t far to see the breathtaking views, just a few meters away. Close to the bus stop if you want to go to Fira to ride the cable car, etc. April is low season and no crowds. I would highly recommend this hotel as it is exceptionally clean and looks brand new.

Very nice place located on the inside road of Oia, ie no caldera view. But the breathtaking view is just a 2 minute walk away and the price is less than half of the “view” hotels, so it’s up to you!

The rooms are very nice, spacious, modern and ultra clean. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful.

Only negative, thus 4 stars instead of 5, is that the excellent a la carte breakfast is served in the room and only at specific, very limited time slots. In our case, we had a choice of either 08:15 or 10:15. Apparently all other slots were already taken. We understand that staff and kitchen space is limited, but… it takes away from the overall excellent experience.

First of all, the staff are so friendly and attentive. They gave us places they recommend we should go, souvenir shops and restaurants with less tourists and more local people which is the sign of great good. The hotel is in central part of Oia but still quiet at night. Very modern and clean, comfortable bed and breakfast on the balcony. You will love it.

This hotel is incredibly well situated. It is steps away from all the beautiful sites and the hustle and bustle of Oia but since it is not in the Caldera, the price is much better. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped us organize excursion and car rental (they have their own parking lot, free of charge). The breakfasts were delicious and quite frankly, huge! I would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for a great time!

The ventilation ducts in the hotel are so noisy that you won't be able to sleep when the exhaust fans are turned on in other rooms, the managers failed to solve this problem. -_-

In addition, my room is facing the road, and vehicles often pass by in the early morning. It forces me to wake up especially early...

A very bad experience!!!!!! which seriously affected my travel the next day.

Would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Across the road from Fileria is Mellitini, which is a good tapas restaurant. Just behind Mellitini is the Oia Main Street with lots of shopping and F&B places.

We had a room facing the road and noise was not a problem. There are rooms at the back of the hotel.
