The hotel is close to a pebble beach, far from towns and services, but not far from a rather busy road... (but at night everything is quiet). To stay here the best thing is to rent a car and move around independently. There is also a bus (every half hour) that stops in front of the hotel, but it only goes towards Fira, not towards the nearest Oia. The reception is closed many hours a day, but Mrs. Katia was always reachable via Whatsapp and available to advise and help us. The room is large and has a kitchenette (if you organize yourself you can dine in your room). We also had a large patio at our private disposal with deckchairs, table and chairs. The pool is quite small. Breakfast is fixed (not buffet) served on a large tray, but it is good and rich (milk, coffee or tea, yogurt, bread or pancakes, jam, fruit, boiled eggs, sliced and/or cold cuts cheese... ): I must confess that we also used it to have snacks during the day. Overall we had a good time.

We stayed with our 7 month baby on the first week in May. The communication beforehand was great. We asked for a airport transfer (€30) because we were arriving quite late and didn't want to look for the place in the middle of the night with a hire car. It was the best decision. We were welcomed by a really lovely lady that spoke very little English but we understood each other. I was a bit worried because of some of the less positive reviews but we were very happy.
The location is in the Oia area but about 8 to 10 mins to the actual village by car. We already knew this so no surprise. It's in a very quiet area with its own private beach (dark sand) and it has a swimming pool. We stayed in flat 3 so our view was of the swimming pool and the sea. Just gorgeous. The flat itself is exactly like the photos found on the website. We made sure to book the apartment and not a studio to guarantee space. It's all very simple but we just wanted a base to chill. The reception is very easy to find which was another complaint we had read. Unless you're blind, you'll see the sign. The staff are always around, constantly cleaning the exterior and the flats. They were always really friendly.
The staff clean the flat every day and leave orange juice, bread, eggs, butter, jam, water, coffee, etc in the fridge but it's all very basic. Again that was another complain I had seen but not sure what they were expecting. It's not a hotel Buffett :) We bought our own stuff which added to it. It was good to have it on the first morning before we managed to go shopping.
We hired a car online that was delivered to the Vrachia Studios in an hour. The weather wasn't perfect and we got a bit of rain and a really cold wind but we just explored the island by car. The rest of the time was lovely.
Basically for the price we thought it was good. Basic but good. Oh and we always had hot water and wifi :)

This studio is located in front of the sea...but is in the other side of the island (it's located in Oia, but not in that part that you see in pictures of Santorini). By car you get to Oia center in about 8 minutes. But it's a cozy place, the room is an apartment, very clean. The breakfast is totally a strange experience...they just put in the fridge some bread, butter and marmelade....and just one glass of orange juice (and we were 3). They don't have a reception...our flight arrived at 6:30 am, and we had to stay waiting for someone to receive us until 10:30am...but it's really a good option!

First off all this place is very far from Oia town. You have to hire a taxi (20 EURO one way) or rent a car. There are no shops nearby. There is only one horrible bar with nothing and it's very expensive. We were 5 people so we had 2 rooms. There were ants in one room. The second room was located on a very busy street and was impossible to function normally. There was no hot water throughout the stay and the WIFI was not working. Swimming pool is a joke. They take the money as for a 5-star hotel but in fact this place is a ruin. I strongly do not recommend it.

We had an amazing week during our stay at Vrachia Studios and Apartmrnts. The place is wonderful and Katia who welcomed us was kind, welcoming and very helpful. The location was perfect for us. It is only 4 km from Oia. Great view, very clean pool & good breakfast. The rooms are quite, spacious and comfortable, the mattress is ideal for a restful sleep. It offered us everything we needed for a perfect week's holiday. I highly recommend it!

The stay at the Vrachia apartments was short, but sweet and intense. Welcomed with sympathy and professionalism by Katia we found a familiar, quiet, clean. Comfortable small pool just outside the mini apartment, great breakfast, but , above all an unforgettable sunrise. Do not underestimate the location, absolutely convenient to the nearby Oia and Fira. Highly Recommendation!!!

I was extremely disappointed in my stay here. The staff did not speak English and was not accommodating at all. The location was terrible and due to the far distance it was more expensive than I had previously thought. The room I stayed also only had a small window, which was about ten inches and located in the bathroom. Try and find somewhere closer to the attractions; it's worth the money!

Second concequtive year in Vrachia. This year was totally unorganized. I had booked the upper floor apartment from 8th of February, and finally they gave it to someone else, without any warning. As we heard, all the arrivals had the same problem. Supposely, there was a guy, named Jason that messed everything. We finally got our apartment on 4th day. Mrs Roula, this year, didnt do it well. Totally disappointed. Advice: Check by phone your booking in advance.

They are amazing with great views an endless pool, lovely rooms but a bit out of the town - a 15 min taxi ride so best to hire a car or ask the owner to run you about, you can walk over the mountain and it is a lovely but hard walk and only for the quite fit!!!!

Hello, Chiara.
If you'd looked at one of the pictures that I have taken then you would have noticed a small kitchen. As Vrachia is a "studios/apartments" accommodation, they do not offer breakfast. Instead they do have a kitchen (+ some utensils) in each room which you can use freely.
As far as "the kind of sea," I am not quite sure what you are asking for but I am going to try and give you some info. The beach in front of the hotel is called Baxedes. Throughout July & August, the average temperature for Santorini starts off at 27°C and the sea's at 23°C. Also it is true that the winds are strong during those two months, it is not a cool wind! It is hot even at night. Please, do be mindful that Caldera does not have any beaches thus ALL of them are located on the east & north side of the island. Bazedes is not famous among tourists as it looks more like a regular beach in relation to the black & red beach which is covered by black & red volcanic sand respectively. Usually the locals go there. It is a quiet place as it is not very crowdy yet preferred by families with young children. There is a canteen on the beach as well as some sun beds and umbrellas on hire. Some traditional restaurants can also be found nearby.
As Santorini is a summer destination high summer temperatures, a very low probability of rainfall and almost constant sunshine attracts huge numbers of families and couples alike during July and August. If you don’t like crowds, you are best off skipping August and visiting Santorini at the beginning of July or the end of September when the crowds will be smaller and the prices will be cheaper.
