We stayed in the Hercules Villa at Ifestio (which is Greek for volcano) and had a wonderful time. This 300 year old cave home has been bought up to this century with shower, toilet, plunge pool etc but has still been kept in the traditional style of how this house would have been used by previous inhabitants. While the house was excellent it was only exceeded by the service provided by our host and the owner of the cave home Katerina. There was nothing she wouldn’t do helping us both before arriving and after with different activities that we were interested in and when we had any issues while here. We would highly recommend staying in one of Katerina’s Cave homes. My husband gave it 8.5 stars out of 5 - and he is not easily impressed. It is in the cliffs so there is about 100 steps but unless you have mobility issues don’t let that stop you as it is worth every step. There maybe more modern villas in the caldera but if you want a traditional experience with an amazing host look no further than Ifestio Villas…

Everything was great! Apartment, view and location! Katerina was super helpful with reservations and logistics. It was close to everything but also quiet and peaceful. We rented a car, picked up groceries and all a stones throw from the apartment.

Wow! What an absolute dream. Ifestio villas offered a pristine location in the center of beautiful Oia. Our villa had an amazing private pool, perfectly heated and overlooking the sea. It was breathtaking. Katerina, the host, was exceptionally helpful in answering all questions we had and making sure our stay was comfortable and perfect. The housekeeping staff even did our laundry for us one day. We appreciated the hospitality and would highly recommend this villa to anyone staying in Santorini.

The villa was incredible. It’s what you see when flipping though travel magazines of Oia, Santorini. The patio views were incredible and the plunge pool was a welcome cool off. Beds weee comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and AC if you need it. The cave house stayed cool in the Santorini heat. You could t ask for a better location. It’s a once in a lifetime dream come true. Katerina is an incredible host and booked amazing excursions for us. We recommend the Secret Kitchen Greek Tasting Experience and a sailing excursion to the hot springs!!

Fabulous cave house with private huge terrace and a hot dipping pool. Unbelievable to sit in pool at night watching boats on the sea below listening to soft music from cafes up above. Memories we will never forget 😊 We had our own kitchen, dining area. Charming decor with all the blues you would envision HIGHLY recommend !!!

Sensational view that can be enjoyed from every part of the villa. Not too far down the cliff so the walk up isn’t too bad, you do get porters to help you with your bags as part of the tariff. Very clean with daily housekeeping. Sleep comfort good. We didn’t cook but the villa had sufficient amenities for self-catering. Also the fridge is stocked with some basic provisions on arrival and topped up as necessary. Oia’s restaurants are all within a short walk but a longer walk down to Ammoudi Bay is worth the effort for dinner at the Fish Tavern. Katerina is a top notch host and she arranged transfers, restaurant bookings and tours for us. Take her advice on restaurants too! Take her advice on anything really! Wonderful to sit in the little plunge pool at the end of the day, gaze out at the view and sip on a cold beer or wine. A memorable place to stay. Thanks Katerina for a wonderful stay…

Fantastic trip with views in the middle of Oia. Host help made everything safe and easy. Perfect for my fam with two teenagers and my husband. Awesome view, clean, best location, pool in the property was fantastic for the hot afternoons. We enjoyed the independence to have meals. The rooms are cozy and comfortable.
