The value and experience per price paid is unmatched.
Our room as facing the ocean. We were sleeping with the sound of waves and it was fantastic. In one of the evenings the electricity was cutting off - the restaurant had us placed on the artificial beach, with live music, eating under the stars.
I think that the hotel can do better buy giving written offers for the spa to the groups. I really wanted to do it but there were no prices and I didn't feel like haggling for an experience that is supposed to relax me.
Every evening we had some form of entertainment. Apparently all the other hotels in the area have the same entertainment. Now, the music was a bit too loud for my taste and was clashing with the dinner experience. However, the entertainment was unique and african and it's worth the shot.
At the entrance of the hotel there is a tour agency representative. We will definitely use them next time. The prices were quite reasonable.
What I really loved during our stay was - we had our own hot water heater and we did have hot water whenever we want. The internet was with a truly good signal everywhere on the property so technically you can watch the sea from the wood cabin and surf the internet.
I did ask the front desk for assistance with every little thing I needed - the kids channel not working, wanting additional sugar and milk, wanting room service, or a separate cot for the baby. The front desk were cordial and quick to assist. I absolutely loved that.
The absolute jewel of this hotel is: we had our own tiny house meters from the ocean and we were sleeping and waking up with the waves, while in a nicely cold with the AC room. At night the pools were not closed. So when it was not hot hot hot we could play a little in the pool with my child and he absolutely loved it.
Also, it may seem like a little thing - but one of the evenings they made a tiramisu. I love tiramisu. I am a tiramisu connoisseur and that was one delectably prepared tiramisu.

We enjoyed our stay for several reasons: We were all inclusive. The hotel is very nice, large room with incredibly comfortable bedding. Functional air conditioning, huge bathroom. Holiday setting with lush vegetation (coconut trees, flamboyants, gardeners on the job for a perfect and surprise maintenance: little monkeys in the trees that can be easily approached for some photos), large seawater swimming pool (with bar feet in the water). Important point: the hotel team: all very caring, friendly and smiling. Creams! Not to mention the restaurant: varied dishes, fresh produce and an inventive cook who introduced us to absolutely delicious local specialties. Spa available with a wide range of massages (negotiable rates). We come out regenerated, nice experience.
A few points to note: - The wild beach on foot pontoon available effectively according to the tides, that said we were able to swim there without problem. Algae present, presence of rocks and sea urchins, go there with suitable shoes.
The lack of entertainment at the hotel during the day. On the other hand, we had bands and dancers every night, danced and guineed to the sound of typical music.
- outdoor activities: it is better to avoid the taxis recommended by the hotel which are quite expensive. Rather leave the hotel, walk a little and hail local buses (daladala) or other taxis available in the adjoining “villages”. More affordable prices. For excursions: see if get your guide offers cheaper than local guides.
In short, a very nice experience for us.

Beautiful relaxing holiday. Definitely worth a stay if you want to be away from the crowds. Resort is clean and staff are very friendly and always helpful. Not a swimming beach, but pool is awesome. If you can, do the all inclusive as small water is $1. Small glass pineapple juice $3.....(also check all that the travel agent tells you....get everything in writing). Enjoy your holiday....

Worst experience ever, upon arrival at Azao Resort on the first night, we were placed in an old room that seemed either under renovation or unused. It had a terrible smell, and there were no towels or gowns available. When we raised our concerns, we were assured it would be addressed the next day, but we struggled to get a good night’s sleep, having to run the air conditioning at maximum to mitigate the odor. The following day, we were moved to a better room, but our experience was already marred. The dining experience was just as bad, to make matters worse, the hotel was not prepared for our arrival regarding meals. We arrived just after 9 PM, only to find that dinner service had ended, and there was no food available for us. We were offered leftovers, and I, in particular, only received rice. The hotel did not cater to my vegan diet, and when I requested a simple vegetable dish, I was informed that you hadn’t communicated my dietary needs. I was even told that if I wasn’t happy, I could move to another hotel. As a result, I went without proper nutrition during our stay, which is unacceptable for a holiday.
My friend and I booked a full package massage on our last day at the resort, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. I was completely baffled by what the older lady was doing—she was rubbing my body so quickly, it felt like she was in a rush. At one point, she even laid her body on mine while aggressively rubbing me. It didn’t feel like a massage; it felt more like torture. It was such a waste of money and a really upsetting experience.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice and cozy and the food is actually good even though not many choices. The reason i am giving 3 stars is because the gym is totally unusable : sometimes not open and the equipment is almost all broken. Also the alcohol management is awful. Many times there is no ice ( 30+ degrees outside ) and they lack freezer to cover for the beer consumption so you sometimes get almost warm beer ( 30+ degrees outside ). Also the spirits are all kept outside so if no ice they are undrinkable. On top of that they only give beer in a glass but the glass being smaller then the bottle the keep thw rest and put it in other glasses. Therefore at one point i had beer in my glass from 3 different bottles. Oh and also the bar closes at 10....we came in vacation, maybe they should rethink this

We loved this resort once we got past the check in (Our travel Agent did not give us the proper voucher). The staff was super friendly, the meals were excellent and the service was wonderful. They responded to every request and when our flight was moved an hour earlier than previously scheduled the front desk tracked down our provided driver and had him come an hour earlier. the pool and pool bar were fun. the beach was an experience with silt like sand that felt like mud up to our ankles. The mud was between the rocks. but I was told by our friends that it was much better at low tide. We took a scuba excursion and that was great fun. the room was on the water with beautiful sunrises. the AC worked and was appreciated as were the good showers and beds.

The resort is beautiful, but the staff made this a memorable stay! We had an early diving trip and they made us boxed breakfasts and coffee. One of our party celebrated a birthday and the Chef made and decorated a cake...fantastic! The food was very good and plentiful. We had a late flight and the Asst.Mgr had a room cleaned and made available to us...very rare. The resort, especially the pool is very relaxing, but the staff made this special.

Truly an amazing stay. On the waters edge, with all you could ask for - divine pool with bar, spa, friendly staff, lovely swimming beach, quiet and peaceful. Our room was on the waters edge with only sounds of the sea and wildlife. Well done Azao

I went with my family of 12 people to Azao Resort, the hotel was abserloutly beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The hotel had a lot of entertainment stuff, and the pools are huge. The staff was abserloutly amazing - so friendly , so helpful and very polite. The food (from breakfast, lunch & dinner) was so tasty, and food was plentiful. They even had a barbeque evening over looking the beach. They had 2 guys that's danced almost every night for dinner and had the crowd going. The rooms were very nice and clean. If you want a quiet, tranquil holiday, I will definitely recommend Azao to you. Thank you

Very clean hotel and competitive price if you book in advance. €549 for a week with half board Huge bedroom and bathroom - TV ok Clean swimming pool, very beautiful location, the sea far away in the morning but at the edge of the hotel around 3 p.m. We had an idyllic stay because we love the tranquility and walking and collecting shells Food is ok. Nothing to say, we enjoyed it and the hostess, a very small young woman, is adorable. do not hesitate

Hi Khalid, the meat is halal and is specified too. do cross-check, if it is not mentioned on the dish please. There is a swimming beach, but a very small one at the resort itself. Do be aware of the tides, as it is a rocky beach and do not see it during high tide. Enjoy your stay with Azao and the trip. By the way, there is a beach nearby too and the hotel provides bicycles for you to ride to the beach, if need be.

There are a great number of trips available from the hotel--there is an agent's office there, which is open during the day. The beach at Azao is not suitable for snorkelling at high tide. According to my holiday rep, it is on the wrong side of the island, and the water is murky. However, the rest of the island has beautiful areas where you can snorkel from the beach , or go out in a boat and look at the reefs.
