I went here a while ago and after being here I wanted to live here! The service and staff are amazing and the access to a pool and a golden sand beach was fantastic. This is one of the best hotels EVER

We visited over Easter and will definitely be back. Relaxing, friendly beach area with loads of seating options, nice pool and giant jenga. Excellent customer service. The rooms are beautiful, each with a stunning sea view.

Yes you can swim. However the access to sea is not always easy, it depends on the tides. If you want to enjoy the best beach in pongwe it's just two minutes from the lodge, at pongwe hotel. It's a free access beach and it's beautiful. Yes there are algae ad in the whole East cost of zanzibar. You don't feel them when it's hight tide, and when it's low tide the colors look beautiful to me.
