We had our private wedding in Mchanga Resort Beach in summer 2016. The general manager Marco made our dreams come true and organised the best wedding we could imagine - on the beach while sunrise with beautiful flower decoration and just us. It fell very personal and special and everything went super smooth. This was not easy to organize as...

Dear boys, it was wonderful to watch your happiness. My work is done in two ways: the first to live abroad with different rates from the country you came from. The second to meet, to love and make happy customers and people that you meet in this wonderful journey. We have tried to give a tropical tale and the memories...

The endless beach, filled with alabaster-white talcum-powder sand sandwiched between the blue reef and the green coconut palm trees, topped by a cushion of white puffy clouds. This is a scene I will remember from our five night stay at this resort. And of course the friendly local staff led by Marco, the Italian on-site manager who went all the...

Dear Peter, thanks for writing to us privately and on tripadvisor. I personally (gm) I absolutely loved the way we talked. it is not easy to find clients (real travelers) who understand the benefits and sometimes the difficulty of a trip to Africa. We try to make wonderful the stay of each client. Sometimes this is possible, sometimes, unfortunately, it...

My girlfriend and I visited Mchanga Beach Resort after having spent a few days on the other side of the island. It was a pleasant change to the busy tourist filled side of the island. The rooms are great and the swimming pool is well kept. The General Manager Marco is very warm and welcoming and has put a great...

The resort is beautiful, clean and pleasure. The pictures on the website are totally true. Perfect location for not been bothered by the beach boys... the owner, Marco, is just fabulous ... always there for us... booked the trips for us, took us for his grocery shop around the local market and took time to explain about his own experience...

Hello Debora, thank you. What you wrote it is true. Personally I try to help customers who wish to understand some little things of Zanzibar. I am always available to tell from our life in Zanzibar perspective. Actually also all our staff is always available. The philosophy of the resort is "also" sincerity. Mchanga truly lives up its warm hospitality & positive reviews. Our choice of room was the one with sea view for 3 nights which was exactly how the pictures described it - Simple yet cozy. Marco & his staff were polite, friendly and helpful with any queries we had. Prices for drinks/ lunch/ dinner were quite fair especially considering the...

For what you pay you are better off else where. We booked our spot and arrived in the afternoon, the room was a lot smaller than what we had thought based on web pages. There isn't much of a sea view in any of the "sea view" rooms. The beds are really hard as well and not flat, still don't...

Dear Joshua, I am very sorry to read your review. I realize that working in tourism exposes us all operators personal judgments of every visitor, but I find your very unfair judgment. I only left yesterday and already cannot wait to return. Rooms are clean and simple-book early to get the sea view rooms as they are very popular. The food was deliciously homemade with the option of a different three course set meal each evening, which I can highly recommend (no choice to make and cooked with simple, fresh local ingredients)....

The hotel is situated far (enough) from 'loud' parts of the island, it has only 10 rooms and it is managed by a dedicated staff including Marco, Samuel and others. You can count on interesting tips and anecdotes about local culture and habits. The food is delicious, especially the evening dinner at 7:30 based on the fresh fish/beef, but also...

Dear Thushani, thank you for your review. Making this work is not easy, because you have to deal with different people every day, people from every country in the world with different cultures and habits.
