For what you pay you are better off else where. We booked our spot and arrived in the afternoon, the room was a lot smaller than what we had thought based on web pages. There isn't much of a sea view in any of the "sea view" rooms. The beds are really hard as well and not flat, still don't... More

Dear Joshua, I am very sorry to read your review. I realize that working in tourism exposes us all operators personal judgments of every visitor, but I find your very unfair judgment. I will not speak of the hard or soft mattress or the like because they are depending on the tastes of each of us. But let me underline... More

I only left yesterday and already cannot wait to return. Rooms are clean and simple-book early to get the sea view rooms as they are very popular. The food was deliciously homemade with the option of a different three course set meal each evening, which I can highly recommend (no choice to make and cooked with simple, fresh local ingredients).... The hotel is situated far (enough) from 'loud' parts of the island, it has only 10 rooms and it is managed by a dedicated staff including Marco, Samuel and others. You can count on interesting tips and anecdotes about local culture and habits. The food is delicious, especially the evening dinner at 7:30 based on the fresh fish/beef, but also... More

Mchanga beach resort could not be more welcoming, friendly or relaxing. From the moment you arrive you feel at home. You take off your shoes and dont put them on again for a week. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, and what a home it is! Superfine white sand, fabulous food (daily specials... More

We could not love this place any more! From the minute we got here and were encouraged to take off our shoes by the lovely Marco, we felt right at home straight away. The place is stunning. Right on a gorgeous quiet beach, without all the noise of Beach Boys hassling you, it honestly felt like paradise. Even when fully... More

Dear Thushani, thank you for your review. Making this work is not easy, because you have to deal with different people every day, people from every country in the world with different cultures and habits. It 'still a wonderful job, because it allows you to be in contact with a "parallel universe" of people's lives: the universe of the holidays,... More

After spending two weeks in Zanzibar we we're looking for a resort to book ten rooms for a week of holidays with friends. We passed Mchanga Beach Resort, met the owner, Mr. Marco, who showed us one twin room and gave his business card with an estimate of room rates, adding that we can find more info in Internet. Well,... More

Mr Jelena K, the story you described does not represent the truth. You are entered in the resort from the beach and you have asked the waiter to accompany you to see a room. The waiter called me (I am the GM, not the owner) and I have said to you that the resort was full I could show only... More

This is a good mid-range resort at Mchanga beach. In July it was a peaceful oasis, away from the beach boys, suitable for families and couples of all ages. There are 6 front bungalows - some with sea views and therefore slightly more expensive - others with views to a lovely garden setting. The bungalows are spacious, clean and tastefully... More

This was exactly what we needed after a safari: a small, quaint, and secluded hotel right on the beach. The territory is covered with beautiful white sand, so one never has to wear shoes. Marco is an amazing host, who makes you feel like his personal guest. The staff are all local, and they are extremely nice and very well... More

Mchanga resort rooms are set in a tranquil garden right next to a long beach of powder white sand. We were there at the end of the season so it was particularly quiet and relaxed, but there are plenty of shady places to relax near the pool or beach so I can't imagine you would ever need to fight for... Hello, we have been at the Mchanga Beach resort end of February. It is the perfect place to relax, feet in the sand (you don't need sandals/slippers for the all time), just beautiful white powdered sand and a fantastic long beach on the cristalline sea.I have been to Zanzibar 20 years ago when there were just few basic hotels, now it...
