We ended up at Residencial Goa after our flight to Fogo was cancelled and we decided to travel to Sao Vicente instead. It was our best decision during our trip in Cape Verde. The hotel has a great location, residing next to the sea, on the quiet side of the island. A shop and the village (Calhau) is within walking...

Stayed here in November and had a wonderful time. The hotel was really nice with views directly on to the beach. Hosts Stan and Raphaele were very accommodating, and nothing was too much trouble. The bar was an perfect spot to relax with a cool drink while listening to waves crashing on the beach. Calhau is an ideal base for...

Me and my husband chose this hotel for the last two days of our holidays in Cape Verde and it was an excellent choice! Spacious rooms, lovely interior, big terrace facing the sea. Lots of possibilities to have a very relaxing time - have a walk to the nearest volcano, another one along the beach, go to the nearest village...

The hotel has a very beautiful modern architecture and it’s fully integrated in the beach of Calhau and the volcanoes nearby. The rooms are huge and nicely decorated, with simple furniture and with taste. It’s very peaceful to open the door of the room and hear the sound of the sea, contemplate the waves and feel the breeze. At night,...

Me and a friend arrived in the afternoon not sure if we would find here a place to stay. The family welcomed us like we were one of their own. Made a wonderful dinner and we all hanged out in a beautiful garden sharing stories. The rooms are so big and with such a beautiful view of the ocean. We...

A very pretty and stylish Hotel that would make a matching set for a James Bond movie. Think César Manrique but more comfortable. Calhau during the week is very laid back and quit. There are a couple of very pretty beaches to the south and a good restaurant in the heart of the village. But the best thing about the...

Right on the beach in Villa Miseria, Calhau, is Raph and Stan's Goa. They make you feel like family. Calhau is a calm, quiet part of Sao Vicente. The natural scenery of ocean, mountains, sun, wind, moon and stars is fantastic there. Best place to get to know your self. If your Soul cannot find rest here, it never can....

We stayed here in January for a couple of nights (couple with a 2,5 years old child). Do go to this place if you like to stay at a beautiful, quite place with friendly people. The rooms are spacious and have a sea-view (most of them) and the food (breakfast and, when available, dinner) is excellent. Be aware, however, that...

We stayed two nights at Residencial Goa in Calhau and it was an excellent stay, Calhau, the place where it is located is lost in a corner of Sao Vicente and there are no amenities around. The Residencial Goa is very nice and cosy. Raph and Stan are the best host ever, super helpful, they would always find a way...

A fantastic place to stay, set in a secluded location away from the main tourist areas offering a 'behind the scenes' insight into life in Cape Verde. Stan and Rafhaële were exceptional hosts and even though, through my own ignorance, I was unable to speak their language they made every effort to make me feel part of the family. The...
