We really liked the location of the hotel as we could walk to "town". The hotel has three different buildings and three different pools. The hotel is not exactly cozy and a little bit too big for our taste but still the best deal in town with about 100 rooms compared to some of the other hotels who have hundreds of rooms. Some smaller hotels are in town but mostly in loud areas with music into the the night. The staff is friendly and the beach club restaurant good. The hotel restaurants are disappointing and there is definitively a need of more coffee machines at breakfast where two machines have to serve all and the queue is always long. Room for improvement!

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed at Hotel Morabeza for 1 week. A great experience. The hotel is perfectly located right at the beach. The people are very kind and helpful and the beach and ocean water are fantastic. We hope to return again some day in the future.

Just spent a week at Hotel Morabezza and my first visit to Cape Verde. If you like the beach then this is ideal as there is a white sandy beach in front of the hotel , the sea is beautiful, cold when you first get in but after 30 seconds you are warm , it’s the Atlantic The room was cleaned every day , space for a couple with his/hers sinks …only a vented door separated the bathroom so you need to know your partner well as there is little privacy .The shower was very good and the room had a balcony and sea view ( that was pushing it ) typical TUI room for the UK traveller , we always pay top money and seem to get the lowest grade room , you can upgrade We stayed full board , breakfast was ok , nothing special really limited choice , hard pastries and poor coffee , lunch at the beach club was lovely and great menu choice . The evening meal gave good options of fish and meat plus dessert but gets a bit the same , next time I would book maybe breakfast and lunch then eat out in the evening There is a barbecue on Saturday nights Not much to do in the hotel , some bars and restaurants outside but if you like nightlife this isn’t the place , think quiet getaway.. not much to see in Cape Verde for trips either but water sports at the beach like jet skis etc during the day No rain , weather hot , i did have one bad stomach one night , don’t drink the water, ice or salads is best and use bottled water to brush teeth but I did like the food so could have been anything to be fair , the hotel and pools were always really clean … sunbeds plenty but will fill up at busier times …so for me all in all I nice week away for March , very nice helpful staff ..

Marvellous hotel - large grounds, variety of types of accommodation, 3 pools, 4 bars/restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly, helpful staff. Right on the beach, and also at the start of the the high street in Santa Maria. Would happily come back

We stayed in a suite with balcony and sun loungers facing the beach front. It was exquisite as we had the adults only swimming pool to hand. The hotel grounds were extensive and well kept. We took part in a few hotel activities , the dance lesson with Elder was really good , the Oware board game lesson was informative too . A bonus for us was the pétanque courts , we played every morning. The regular evening live music and the appealing lighting around the hotel and grounds were lovely and inviting. Breakfast was plentiful and ,importantly for myself, there were gluten free options available. ALL the staff ,reception , bar /restaurant , guest services ,room maids, garden/ pool attendants ,maintenance and security were friendly ,welcoming and pleasant to us everyday. We are definitely going to return here again next year

We spent a very enjoyable week at the Morabeza.  The only negative thing was the weather, being windy and from time to time quite cloudy and even rainy for a couple of hours on two days - but we won't blame the hotel for that! The hotel is very pleasantly laid out - everything is very spacious and well provided for.  We were B&B, but dined in the hotel 3 nights, in each of the restaurants and also for the Saturday barbeque, which was very well done.  Food, especially fish, was good (also in the beach bar at lunch times).  Our Garden View room was perfectly located and was comfortable with a great shower. Overall, the staff were fine.  A special mention for the staff at the Tortue bar and also beach bar who were totally switched on and smiley.  Less so for the staff at Les Palmiers who tended to be not as communicative and efficient. It was great being so close to the town centre and other restaurants.  A tour of the island with Nelson is recommended - he can take 2 couples in his 4x4 and the hotel can fix it up for you.  He is a very nice guy, knows the island like the back of his hand and has a great little restaurant for lunch, if you wish.

We had a wonderful stay here although upon arrival having booked a standard room via tui we were told we had been upgraded to junior suite. This was not the case. We were taken to a very tired family room which would only benefit us if we wanted a sleep over ( extra beds ) . I complained that this is not what we booked and was told the hotel was fully booked and to come back the following day. This annoyed and stressed me resulting in telling them to either resolve it or refund and move us to another hotel. Suddenly a standard room became available. From this point onwards our holiday was perfect, I cannot fault the hotel. Great bar ( happy hour 6.30-7.30pm) and great restaurants; la Tortue serves really good food; loads of room and sun beds around the three pools and great staff. I only mark it down because of reception. This should not of happened. Most bars and restaurants in town prefer cash but some do take credit cards but may add a surcharge of about 4%. There are several cash machines in town so it very easy. This was our first trip to Sal. It is a lovely place with lovely people and would highly recommend it. We will return.

The booked airport pick up did not happen because the driver was given the wrong name, so I took a more expensive taxi instead. The rest of the welcome was friendly, I was given a very large room and a complementary bottle of bubbly, much appreciated. The hotel garden and pool area are very pleasant and kept clean. The near beach front bars and discos can be noisy from time to time and on one day they were at top volume until 3 a.m.. The in room wifi is dreadful and sitting in the lobby makes this only marginally better. At this price, they ought to have a better internet connection. There is as good as no security on beach side. The low wall is no impediment even for a handicapped would be burglar, any one can enter the very large garden area and prowl around for spoils. The b'fast buffet was excellent.

Lovely, spacious hotel, cool and inviting. Location perfect, right on the beach. Rooms need an upgrade but this aside, had a fabulous time. Special credit to the team in Bar Tortue - it was a pleasure to start our evening with "happy hour", generously welcomed by the boys behind the bar who always had a smile and were happy to chat - a credit to the hotel. New Year's Eve was fabulous, with such attention to detail and a great time had by all. If (when) we return to Cape Verde, Morabeza will be our first choice.

The property was just as gorgeous as the pictures online. The management takes special care to provide service to guests. The meals were great, especially dinner, assigned tables is a nice touch. The live music and cultural performances. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The beach exceeded our expectations as did The Beach Club. Can't beat the location with two strips of restaurants & lounges literally short steps away. This is only place we'll plan to stay on return.
