The room was in fact a whole apartment, with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Comfortable bed, pretty quiet.
Nice spa, with a hammam and a sauna.

Just returned from Melia Tortuga. There is such an opportunity for this to be great hotel, but they just don't rise to the challenge. The rooms are apartments originally built to be sold individually so have kitchens (no need) 2 beds and 2 bathrooms(very useful)...More
Yes we did have a hairdryer in the bathroom. Re lilo's I would take them as I did not see any in the gift shop on site .Remember most thing are imported to these Islands and therefore can be expensive ie toiletries, sun... More

Re lilo's I would take them as I did not see any in the gift shop on site .Remember most thing are imported to these Islands and therefore can be expensive ie toiletries, sun creams etc. I always take some chocolate too. Do go in to Santa Maria for the experience, easy to walk if the weather is not too hot. Lovely Island, lovely people. Enjoy.
