Just returned from Sal having spent 7 days at Halos casa
Great hotel all staff from management to cleaning staff work very hard to make your stay enjoyable .
We stayed on b/b the breakfast very good full English and lots of other choices all good quality, can’t comment on the lunch and evening meal menu we dined in Santa Maria each evening.
Rooms very nice and cleaned thoroughly daily by the lovely cleaning ladies who always had a smile and greeting , got to say the most comfortable bed slept in abroad (memory foam mattress) king size.
Very chilled around the pool during the day drinks at the bar good quality , you can even get the local brewed bitter on tap only problem the glasses are a bit small.
The entertainment team worked very hard in the bar on an evening , we enjoyed a couple of shows mainly done in Italian but nether the less very entertaining.
Mainly Italian guests at the hotel but all very polite and friendly.
We will be definitely returning to Halos casa got to give a special mention to the barman Kevin he was a great laugh .
Thankyou for a nice relaxing week,
Abrigada pa bo morebeza

The accommodation was very comfortable. Everything was as described.
The staff was always helpful and very friendly. They were always there for us when something was needed.
The beach and the sea are simply breathtaking and the town of Santa Maria is beatiful as well.
The cuisine was very tasty and always a lot of food to choose from. Such as fresh fishes, lots of fruits, vegetables, and sweets.
The italian manager of the restaurant and bars, Attilio, is a great person who always makes sure that noone is missing anything. I can say the same about the outstanding chef Carlos.
The animation team was amazing too. Jessica and Eliezer became very good friends of us during the stay.
We really enjoyed our vacation and can't wait to come back to this island and Halos Resort!!!

Nice hotel, good value. Good pool, big rooms, clean facilities, well located just 7 minutes walk to the centre or 3 minutes to the beach. No hills for those who prefer to walk on the flat. Good area on the beach with plenty of shade and wifi, the beach bar was a well kept secret however. Bed and breakfast or all inclusive available, would advise all inclusive, although I'm not normally an all inc fan, the quality of the food available makes it a no brainer, even if you eat out occasionaly for a change. Good entertainment in the complex 3 times per week. Good mix of nationalities in the hotel, personally I prefer this to a predominately British clientele. Better still the staff, the cleaners, waiters, bar staff, reception staff are all brilliant, helpful, calm and relaxed. Big heads up to the guy in the outside bar who always had my drink waiting before I got to the bar, and the main main in entertainments (the local guy) who was a cocktail of energy, enthusiasm and friendship. If I had to find a minor fault the local beer and coffee weren't to my taste, although you could but replacements at 2 euros or cheaper in the hotel or in town. Would advise you to give it a go rather than pay double in the Riu hotels. Dubliner bar close by worth a go, not a typical Irish bar, more relaxed with good food and drink (it was full of Riu residents looking for a change).

Ideal location for both the sea and the center (both can be reached in a few minutes on foot), good food with simple dishes but you can always find something because there is a good choice, nice rooms with some small signs due to humidity (given the climate it is understandable), excellent cleanliness both in the rooms and in the common areas, nice, professional and super helpful staff, excursions that are worth it both in terms of organization and guides/companions, entertainment present but not pressing (d' their motto is: no stress!) both during the day and in the evening and very interesting evening shows. Last but not least, a safe place to walk even in the evening, beach and postcard sea...we only found one day very dirty with algae because the evening before it had rained quite heavily, the other days always crystal clear despite the sky kind of cloudy.

The hotel is super close to town, beach across the street, friendly and attentive staff.
Had all inclusive , food was nice however if you go 9am for breakfast most things have run out. On lunch and dinner dessert was almost gone every single day.
Breakfast didn't change for the entire stay so it does get a bit boring after a few days.
Is not a self serving service so the queues sometimes are quite long. Having to queue for get a bottle of water or coffee.
Gets a bit warm in the dinning/breakfast area too.
Room wise was clean, AC always working, water inthe afternoons sometimes wasn't working for maintenance for bare that in mind. The kitchen area was a bit lacking, only 2 glasses available, no cutlery, no plates. Absolutely nothing as we were AI wasn't a bit of a problem depends on your board.
Pool area was definitely my favourite, clean, beautiful.
I believe is an Italian orientated resort so most things are for Italians, so music and food might not be for everyone's taste.
Unfortunately coffe isn't included in the AI and only a few drinks. During the day the only snacks available are at the bar or at the beach and is always pizza.
Wi fi worked everywhere in the hotel and beach no hairdryer or pressing board, we had to pay to have shirts ironed.
Overall was nice but a few things did need to improve.
Towels are changed every 3 days.

Halos Casa is not a 4 star resort. The pool and beach are definitely 4 star but the rest of the facilities merit only 2 stars ( quality of the food, poor decor and shabby lobby area)…..so a 3 star average. Breakfast is from 7.30 am until 10 am but arrive after 9 and there is very little left. On different days we found no bread, no tomato, no yoghurt or no juice. Ask and the response is…. finished!!!! If breakfast is until 10, then all food should be available until this time. We stayed bed and breakfast as we like to eat out in the evening. Our booking said the apartment came with a full kitchen but the kitchen was empty of all utensils. We asked for a kettle, cutlery, plates and saucers and were told, NO. We pointed out the terms of the booking but to no avail. Only when we went to our booking company who in turn contacted Halos Casa did we get them and this was on day 4 of our break….so unnecessary. If you only want to do AI then don’t offer B. and B. and a full kitchen.

Nice resort, always clean with super friendly and helpful staff. Large, air-conditioned rooms, upon arrival they made us find the room cool and a bottle of water in the fridge. The cuisine is mediocre, you shouldn't expect to eat like in Italy, all in all it's not bad anyway.
The location is good as it is a 5 minute walk from the center of Santa Maria, not on the first line of the beach but just 200m away.

The staff is attentive and the hotel is very clean. Just 5 minutes from a beautiful beach and 10 minutes from downtown Santa Maria, the property is ideally placed to get out and explore this stunning resort.

The accommodations are spacious and I really appreciated the fact that the bedroom was separated from the rest, like a small apartment. The insulation is average, a lot of loud music in the evening until around 10 p.m. so if you go to bed early this can be a problem. Otherwise no problems with water in the room apart from small outages during the day but totally normal in Cape Verde. Complete cleaning is done daily.

Unfortunately I found the food quite bland and repetitive, but this is of little importance considering the excellent value for money of the hotel. On the other hand, I am very satisfied with the drinks: numerous cocktails and delicious fresh fruit juices are available in unlimited quantities.

I only tested the swimming pool once, quite small and most of the time crowded with people, also the water is colder than that of the sea so the choice is quickly made! The beach is sublime, the golden sand and the turquoise sea, with a very pleasant breeze when it is hot.

The French-speaking hosts Marie and Juliette are incredibly kind, always in a good mood! I recommend, among other things, walks to the Santa Maria market and the “shell cemetery”, a truly unusual place.

I therefore recommend this hotel to travelers who like to discover the surrounding area and who want a small base that combines simplicity and practicality. Delighted with this stay, it makes you want to discover the other islands of this beautiful archipelago!

Nice location, but next time I would choose another hotel. Weak for 4 stars, the shower is moldy and the door cannot be opened. Meals are repeated after 3 days. The pool is small for such a number of guests, but there are enough sunbeds on the beach, the bar is also great, you can taste the local grogue. The work of the bartenders and animators is excellent, and now three things that disappointed me the first, before leaving on the last day, I returned to the room and my toothbrush was really from the soap even in the part where the bristles are, which means that the maid happily uses your personal things for cleaning, this is absolutely unacceptable and no one should allow this! Another thing is poorly described dishes, it would be better to translate them all into English or several languages, but properly! As an example, I will give "chicken schnitzels" while eating, I found out that among the schnitzels there are pieces with wrapped and fried ham. (someone could confuse it with undercooked chicken) and why is there another food under this name at all. Then also a weak current of water, but maybe that is the problem of the whole island? I would really like the hotel to work on these things in the future, because Cabo Verde is great. :) Recommended to visit: Santa Maria, water sports, Murdeira, Buracona, Buggy trip, Sharkbay, Zipline, Solinas lake, shell cemetery

We were recently guests of this property. Strategic location about 15 minutes from the airport and the small town of Santa Maria giving the opportunity to move on foot even in the evening as very quiet. Beach very close to the Resort with private beach. I had somewhat higher expectations regarding the structure as from the images I expected it to be larger while it is very small. Food service and hygiene quite good. Very nice animation, the guys are super helpful and do many activities even on the beach. We participated in the tour of the island organized by the excursion group present in the Resort and it was very interesting a little less the aperitif at the bikini beach. Arm yourself with patience to visit the blue eye because there are endless queues! That said, however, I have to make a note for an anecdote that happened to me with the manager ... you can access the restaurant dressed and not in bikinis ... for several days I saw women enter with costume covers or fairly thin and a little transparent clothes and no one has ever filmed them, for a couple of days I arrive from the beach with the cover-up and here while we were having lunch with other guests next to our table arrives the Resort Manager ubiquitous in everything I must say ... she flanks me gracefully and asks me to wear something more covered since you can not enter with clothes a little transparent. I am a bit puzzled because as I said earlier I had seen other women in the past days but I still tell her that absolutely fine and so I do. The point is that it bothered me a lot as the other two guests unknown to us heard everything she said and I felt very uncomfortable because they started looking at me and I can guarantee it was not pleasant! The following days I see enter the restaurant a girl in a very short shirt that did not cover her bottom, another half-naked girl and a lady with a sheer costume cover and they consumed the meal undisturbed! Ora le regole devono valere per tutti! I promised myself to do this review and tell what happened because it is right to respect the rules and if for the director I was not well dressed in that way I accept it but then you have to point out other certain things! All in all we were fine but what happened
mi ha molto turbata! Would definitely not stay there for her!!!! the wonderful staff always with a smile and kindness!
