The VOI Praia De Chaves is a wonderful property located on the heavenly island of Boa Vista, one of the happy islands that make up the Cape Verde archipelago, off the west coast of Africa. The Resort is just 3 km from the airport and covers an area of 15,000 square meters near the beautiful beach of Praia De Chaves - on the west coast of the island - giving guests an incomparable view of the Atlantic Ocean. The whole structure is harmoniously inserted in the enchanting natural context that characterizes the island of Boa Vista, known for the lunar landscapes of the Viana desert and the white beaches of Tortuga and Santa Monica. Staying at the VOI Praia De Chaves you will have the opportunity to spend a fantastic holiday enjoying the highest quality services, with the opportunity to live many magical experiences, surrounded by dreamlike views.

We stayed at the Praia de Chaves resort from 25 April to 2 May 2024. Premise: it was a nice holiday but it could have been much better. The initial idea was to go to Sal because it was slightly more lively but the structure proposed by Bravo is in the process of being restored and the latest reviews are mediocre for this very reason. We therefore opted for this theoretical 5 star in Boa Vista. Let's start by saying that it is definitely not a 5 star but a 4 star for various reasons, first of all the rooms. We were 2 adults and a 7 year old girl and we opted for a classic room because on several occasions we happened to stay in large and well organized rooms of the same level (both 4 stars and, even more so, 5 stars). In this case it was a dormitory: 3 single beds literally attached to each other, with the external beds banging their heads against the lamp attached to the headboard. The only positive note was the presence of the bidet but in an Italian village it was almost expected. All the rooms, even those on the upper level, had a veranda with table and chairs but no drying rack or other supports for hanging out towels or swimsuits, which are definitely essential in a seaside location. The beach was several kilometers long and remarkably deep but there was a shortage of umbrellas. Ok, with the wind always present it was a pleasure to be in the sun but the few umbrellas present were occupied by guests who promptly left the beach and if someone really needed to be in the shade they stuck because it wasn't planned to add more umbrellas . I repeat, given the immense space available, it is absurd that there is no umbrella per room. The entertainment for adults was a disappointment on all fronts: very few activities and sometimes they weren't even started. There were so many animators but it wasn't really clear what they did. There were tennis and five-a-side football pitches but they are not used because, according to the entertainers, they are afraid that guests will get hurt. The mini club is perhaps the most scandalous thing: open from 10.30am to 12.30pm and from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, with baby dance from 8.45pm to 9.15pm. There was the possibility of having the children have lunch and dinner with the entertainers but it was an extra half hour per meal. The girls were nice and my daughter had a great time but, I repeat, from a 5 star hotel I expect much more than 4 hours a day! But let's move on to the positive notes. The food was good, with a decent variety and theme nights every night (Mexican, Cape Verdean, Italian, etc). Incredibly the worst meal was the breakfasts, with enough variety but none of note. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, especially because they didn't live up to our expectations.

I left for Boa Vista without too many expectations because in reality there aren't many reviews of trips to Cape Verde, as if the destination wasn't worth it. I was pleasantly fascinated by this wonderful and uncontaminated place with a beach and a sea like the Maldives, a place that is still not very touristy, not at all polluted, on km and km of beach I have never found a single piece of paper or a plastic bottle, a turquoise sea to dream about it at night! As far as the structure is concerned, I struggle to understand the negative reviews I have read! The Village is very large and well kept, the rooms are not at all dated but perhaps basic in furnishings, the common outdoor spaces are treated in every detail. There are 3 swimming pools and they are large and very beautiful, sometimes you find a bit of sand but being practically located above the immense beach of Praia de Chaves where it often blows a lot of wind I think it is normal, then there is still someone who he comes up from the sea and with dirty feet he enters the pool but that's another matter, however they clean it every evening and every morning. As far as food is concerned, there is something to eat at any time and with a constantly varied offering, clearly based on the raw materials that make up the local diet in these places (therefore lots of fish, chicken, vegetables), even here I struggle to understand the negative reviews! All inclusive as we haven't seen for a long time, with alcohol and spirits available at the 5 bars located in the village at all hours, even the Espresso was good and coming from a Neapolitan! The Bravo entertainment staff is the jewel in the crown of this place, always available, friendly, never intrusive. My children aged 8 and 14 had a lot of fun and we relaxed and calm parents that they were in good hands! For the excursions we turned to Pier and Eusebio, very professional and helpful, you can find them on the beach and they offer excursions at more competitive prices than the hotel, I highly recommend them.
The only sore point which did not affect our trip was the constant humidity of these places (at least during the period in which we were there) and consequently the presence of mosquitoes in industrial quantities despite the areas being cleared every night. outside, so as a tip, bring some repellents because they have exorbitant prices on site!
Having said that, Boa Vista is wonderful, I would repeat this trip a thousand times again

Hotel near the airport It has one main restaurant With many bars that offer the possibility of eating something on a small scale (for those who don't want to go to the main one which offers a good selection of food for all tastes, it is not starred but it is acceptable for what the all inclusive formula offers The entertainment guys are fantastic as are the hotel staff There are deckchairs both by the pool and on the beach so don't be afraid there is always room The hotel will provide you with beach towels via card (if you lose one of these they cost 20 euros) During the day the bars offer drinks at any time, there is also the possibility of having something to eat. Now I'll say the things that absolutely need to be improved -excursions (propose something at the beginning and advise the time and places available) - towels in the room have them changed when the room is cleaned and not at 5pm when you are in the room for the shower without them - it is useless to make us leave at 10 in the morning if the return flight is at 1pm (we arrive at the airport immediately and check in is very quick) -It's time to change the mattresses -pay attention to the light bulbs in the room.

The village has a fantastic position/location, wonderful sea and beach that will make you return just for this reason. Regarding the structure we believe that it does not deserve a 5 star rating. The thing that annoyed us the most was that we had requested a room with a sea view (paid with a supplement) and we found ourselves a room in the third row with a view of palm trees and houses and only a small glimpse of the sea. When we pointed this out to the management, they replied that those were the rooms with a sea view, otherwise there were the sweet rooms facing the sea, logically already occupied and with a higher cost, but which the agency did not point out to us as it was not aware of it. knowledge! Another negative aspect is the cleaning of the room, always done extremely late. One day at 6.30pm we still found the cleaning staff in the room. We understand the "no stress" but this demonstrates the lack of organization and fairness towards the customer. We had to call the reception several times to have towels brought to us and just seeing them made us wish we had brought them from home. The village is international and the rules must apply to all customers, but here we would have something to say...... about the French customers, who were allowed everything (smoking where it was forbidden, making noise during rest hours, shouting in the restaurant and swimming pool). The restaurant offered a good quality of food, especially the first courses prepared exceptionally by chef Adriano, the grilled fish was also excellent. The Italian animation guys were nice and kind especially Vanni, Edoardo, Roberta and the legendary Ciccio or Francesco. Nothing to say regarding the Cape Verdean Entertainment, good and trained guys as well as "excellent dancers". Boa vista is worth a visit, but we have difficulty recommending the Bravo facility and this makes us a little sad considering that it is the fourth time we have stayed in the Bravo village. Choosing Cape Verde already worried about the persistent wind on the islands and almost for fallback, not to make too many hours of flight and considering the few days available, I was oriented on the island of Sal when my agent almost imposed this "Resort". Arrived I found a room located on small independent villas equipped with all the comforts spotless and with daily interventions; daily towel change, air conditioning, TV, WI.FI. almost mandatory for watshapp (difficult expensive to call), bathroom with bidet and separation between toilet area and shower area. Catering not excellent but acceptable and plentiful, with Italian chef offering first courses. Very long beach, white and uncontaminated sand, frequented only by Resort guests and other neighbors; rough sea but still bathing for those who know how to swim; constant wind but sometimes even pleasant, because you never have a sultry feeling and invites you to expose yourself to the sun, promoting a tan. Excursions to Santa Monica (18 km) and Estoril, magnificent beaches sheltered from the wind, with the Italian with a mustache waiting for you upon arrival at the airport. The only flaw is the restaurant by the sea, little stocked for lunch, which forces you to climb to the main one, located fairly uphill from the beach.

Beautiful location, relaxing and intimate. The village is contained and also cared for in cleanliness. The food is very good, it offers a rich variety every day and I highly recommend the fish. Andrea, responsible for the animation, is a true professional, supported however by an animation team with little experience and little resourcefulness. Of course they will be done over time. In the evening after the show, a karaoke or a well-done ballad would certainly be appreciated, while at 10.30pm you find yourself having to go to your room. The only note is that I didn't like the water. I would prefer sealed bottled water rather than having to fill a glass bottle used by other people and having to fill it on dispensers located between the rooms where there are often numerous cats. If a village of this level wants to be a 5-star, it must have certain precautions.

The VOI Praia de Ciaves “Bravo” Resort is frequented by both Italian and European tourists.
The structure of the Resort is visually comfortable and has spacious rooms, with new furnishings and slightly dated but functional bathrooms with windows, good room cleaning service, rooms with a frontal view of the ocean are the most appreciated/popular.
Glass bottles are available in each room and can be filled at the fountains or at the restaurant/bar dispensers, a very intelligent use that saves hundreds of plastic bottles "per day" which would then be waste for the island of Boa Vista .
Well-kept green spaces, good maintenance and cleanliness of the common areas, internal gardens and vegetable gardens worth seeing.
Beach with umbrellas and sunbeds, cared for and kept clean by the boys, you can take long, kilometer-long walks. Be careful of the waves which sometimes become imposing and dangerous, lifeguards "fantastic guys" always vigilant and attentive.
Swimming pools with very scenic infinity views, you can admire a beautiful panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean, beach and dunes.
Restaurant service with efficient staff, varied catering for all tastes and palates, fresh fish always grilled, also some types of pasta, various mixed meats, vegetables and many desserts/fruits, no intestinal problems for us.
Bar services, good espresso coffee, cheerful staff always attentive to all customer requests. More attention is needed to check the cleanliness / cleanliness of glasses and cutlery in use.
Professional Bravo assistance, soft animation at alternating speeds.

We arrived at this property in late November and stayed until early December. We had read reviews that worried us instead about what was our experience we are more than satisfied. They immediately warned us that the water was not drinkable, they asked us if we could change the towels every other day as being an island we avoided waste and to deliver the beach towels in the evening so that we cleaned them the following morning. In the structure there are water dispensers where you can fill the glass bottle that is in the room or you can fill it at the bar. The rooms are always spotless and start early in the morning to make them, leaving flowers at the foot of the bed. Great food we ate everything being international. The staff very kind and super attentive to customer needs. The excursion was a great experience. We also had a massage of a reasonable cost and equal to what they do in Italy. Their motto is no stress and for us it was really a week of relaxation.

I had the pleasure of spending an unforgettable stay at the all-inclusive resort located on the magnificent Praia de Chaves in Boa Vista. From the moment I arrived, I had the feeling of being welcomed into an atmosphere of relaxation and comfort, which would make my holiday a unique experience. I want to share my positive experience, highlighting some aspects that make this resort truly exceptional.
I have also made several videos at this facility, which I have published within my YouTube channel
From the first step inside the property, I immediately noticed the attention to detail regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. The rooms were impeccable, tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort needed for a relaxing stay. Daily cleaning has been carried out with great care, maintaining a pleasant and welcoming environment in which to relax after a day spent exploring the beauty of Boa Vista.
The highlight of this resort, however, was the amazing staff. I can't say enough about the kindness and friendliness of all the staff, who made my stay even more pleasant. From the reception staff to the restaurant and entertainment staff, everyone was passionately dedicated to ensuring that every moment spent at the resort was unforgettable. Their willingness to meet guests' needs and offer helpful suggestions for discovering local attractions really made a difference.
The resort's location on Praia de Chaves is a true paradise for sea and nature lovers. The crystal clear sea, long stretches of golden sand and soothing waves create a perfect environment for relaxation and enjoyment of natural beauty. I spent hours mesmerized by the infinite beauty of the landscape, enjoying relaxing walks along the beach and admiring the magnificent sunsets that painted the sky in warm, vibrant shades.
Another aspect that I particularly appreciated was the possibility of carrying out outdoor activities. Long walks on the beach allowed me to fully immerse myself in the wild beauty of my surroundings. I experienced a sense of serenity and connection with nature that filled me with positive energy.
To conclude, I can only highly recommend this all-inclusive resort in Boa Vista on Praia de Chaves. The combination of impeccable rooms, welcoming staff and magnificent natural scenery make this property an ideal choice for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. If you want to experience the authentic charm of the island, immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters of the ocean and enjoy timeless days on the beach, you can't go wrong with this choice. I captured the unforgettable moments of my stay in a video that I posted on my YouTube channel.
I can't wait to experience this adventure again in the future.

Just returned from this corner of paradise a few days ago. VOI took over management of this beautiful resort a few months ago. We see heavy interventions on the common areas (swimming pools, bar, restaurant, reception), which are beautiful, renovated, well equipped and comfortable. The furnishings of the rooms have also been renovated, but they are still a bit "spartan". Speaking with the Director, he confirmed "work in progress", they will also be carrying out interventions there in the coming months. The point of absolute excellence is the catering, breakfast, lunch and dinner, a very rich and varied buffet, fresh meat and fish every day. Aperitif served at the central bar every evening, with appetizers. Very wide all-inclusive formula 24/24h for both drinking and eating (it is possible to find fresh fruit and sandwiches even in the middle of the night in self-service). I particularly appreciated the presence of glass water bottles in each room, fill them everywhere in the resort, both at the bars and in the restaurant and in dispensers positioned in the room areas: the structure is plastic free (or almost), serving everything in glass glasses or reusable plastic. A nice sign of respect for the territory that hosts the resort. The beach area is perhaps the area that most needs a good renovation. The umbrellas and deckchairs are old and few, in any case I have never seen anyone go without and in any case the mattresses made available make everything comfortable. The experience was more than positive. We had a very good time, pampered and welcomed. I would like to return, perhaps next year, I am sure I would find the resort improved and constantly evolving. Compliments!
