First off, I'm sorry to leave this bad review, I may have given it a 2/5 but I do want to even out the seemingly overly positive reviews to give people an idea what they may have happen to them in case they also don't get a refurbished room and they also like their food warm/hot and to get peace and quiet during their stay. I stayed here for almost a week (I left earlier, couldn't take it anymore) and got to say that I was heavily disappointed. I've read plenty of reviews beforehand and while some already mentioned the same or similar flaws I noticed, I opted to believe the better ones. Don't be like me, believe the bad ones/read between the lines and go elsewhere. The staff are nice for the most part and most of them are helpful, so generally can't fault them. Some male staff may need to hold back on some comments though, that are not appropriate towards female guests. My stay began with 0 information but some unnecessary comments when i was accompanied to my room. As a solo traveler this caused me to feel a bit uneasy. Reception was hit or miss, when I arrived the lady at the reception was rather disinterested in talking to me and didn't tell me anything about the resort. I downloaded the app after I saw it mentioned on the key card envelope to find out about opening times and facilities. Food is another story and of course one of the main factors, given how you spend the majority of your day at the hotel: I tried the food for breakfast, lunch (also at the snack bar) and dinner. It's a buffet and unfortunately those foods i tried were cold or lukewarm at best and therefore questionable in terms of hygiene (especially the middle section doesnt seem to have working heating for the food). Maybe it'd have been warm if I was there right at opening time, but I usually went 30-60 mins after and oh boy, they're supposedly being kept warm, but for the most part they surely weren't for what I tried. Even lukewarm would be a stretch in a lot of cases. The only food that's definitely warm is the food fresh from the grill. I didn't try the salads as I didn't want to get stomach issues if they had been washed with tap water, so can't speak on that. I did get stomach issues after each meal either way though, so something surely wasn't right, I'd say some of the supposedly hot food being cold doesn't help. The selection for a 5 star hotel was rather disappointing as well. Breakfast was the only meal I ended up not feeling sick after, which is likely to do with the fact that I focused on the small selection of fruits and bread. There's 1 (!) extra restaurant you can go to, but it costs you extra. According to the app it was only open once per week (wtf) and according to the comments on here not worth the tons of money (yes, you pay extra for that). The room also disappointed me. I paid extra for a room with a side sea view, you could see the sea... when looking all across the bar's terrace and knew that this was the sea - unfortunate. I couldn't actually sit on the balcony anyway as people were constantly walking past the room and looking when I sat there. Location of the room aside, the first thing that's appalling for a 5 star hotel is that they charge you €20 for a week of using the safe. I've had that in 3 star hotels, but not a 5 star! Of course you rent it though, so that's just some money pocketing right there. Also, despite this being a 5 star establishment with ALL INCLUSIVE the mini bar costs you as well. What in the world... As i found out, my room was one of the non-refurbished ones. As such, the interior is a bit worn, rooms are not well equipped (no coffee machine, kettle etc) and decorated (no decoration whatsoever) and there's tons of ants - alive and dead. It was Ant Cemetery in the bathroom. I flagged it after my 1st night and they looked into it, but while I appreciate that's just how it is on the island, the amount of dead ants lying around in the bathroom - everywhere! - is a no-go. It was like that when I arrived and made me question how well it had been cleaned and how well they clean in general. The dust web above the wardrobe hasn't been removed on any of the days, it'll likely be there forever (go and check 2114). On my 2nd day the lock of my door stopped working, again, flagged it to reception, they said they'd have someone come out right away. Been waiting until the next morning and had to flag it again. All the time my door wouldn't lock - great feeling for a female solo traveller to have your door unlocked all night. At least I got the safe... hey, it paid off - yay? Don't expect any extra amenities other 5 star hotels provide you, you'll get soap and shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. No other amenities as any other even 4 star hotel has provided me in many different countries (e.g bathrobe, slippers, room service (even at a charge) etc.) Be aware of extremely (!!!!) loud music during the day and then an extra notch in the evenings until midnight. I wasn't aware of this being a Party Hotel and my room was right in front of the entertainment zone by the pool as well - not ideal, felt like I was in bed on a dance floor in a club - every single day! Especially when you're feeling like crap from the cold food and just wanna sleep, this is the last thing you want. I already sleep with ear plugs but when the music is entertaining probably the rest of the hotels along the beach as well, they won't help either. If you love Majorca and the German Ballerman vibes, you'll fit right in. Is that 5 star hotel atmosphere? Not for me. I tried to sleep under 3 pillows and with my ear plugs, I could still dance to the music despite all that. There's music all day too and tons of activities, which is cool if you're into that. I just wanted to chill and not have someone come up to me all the time and saying I should join this and that. I asked if I could change rooms because i dont get much sleep with the music, they said I can, but it costs extra - seriously? My last evening before my early departure was ironic, they built up a while stage and blasted from there in the evening, just as if to say: we heard you don't like the music, let's take the p*ss and add some fuel to the fire! On the upside: The pool area is generally nice, so is the beach, though you can't really swim in the ocean due to the waves and currents, i was aware of that, so all good here. More than enough sunbeds when I went end of April. Then again, the pools need some serious TLC though. The "lining" or whatever it's called isn't even and has bumps in it (pockets filled with air?), which especially in the small pool towards the ocean is a tripping hazard as it's on the staircase. I for one fell up the stairs when I went out. Thankfully only bruised and scratched my knee, but it could end worse for others. For non-smokers like me it'd be great to have a non-smoking area at the pool. The amount of times I was surrounded by vape and tobacco was truly unpleasant and I kept changing sunbeds when it got too much, but far from ideal having to keep changing sunbeds all the time (also for kids present). The gym is also hot af, as the AC is still not working (going by the comments it never has?), only went once for like 20 mins, but it was way too hot. Not how I envisioned my holiday, I contacted my travel agency and left early as not to get more sick and get more sleep deprived thanks to the music blasting until midnight and beyond. The first holiday ever that I lost weight on and that I'm leaving more exhausted than I was before I came. Not coming back here for sure, do yourself a favour and don't come here either if you value your money, food and peace.…
