We stayed here on our way to Lake Placid and it far exceeded our expectation! We picked this spot because of it's proximity to Revolution Rail Co. and we are so glad that we did. Dakota is a great host! The room was excellent, very spacious and great bathroom!! Breakfast was so great! We had the blueberry pancakes and French toast. Would recommend this stay for anyone who is visiting the Adirondacks!
Goose Pond inn was a great choice for our skiing weekend vacation. The house is clean, cozy and quiet, rooms are nicely decorated and bathrooms are new. The breakfast was excellent. Definitely recommend!
Stayed to ski at Gore in February. 5 minute drive to the base. The room was very comfortable, cozy and clean. The breakfast was excellent. But the real stand out is the service. The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. I had an upset stomach one morning and didn't feel like eating so they made my omelet into a breakfast sandwich to go. Made my day when I felt better later and was ravenously hungry at the ski area. Little touches like that abound. You can't beat coming back from skiing to hot tea and warm baked treats. And, of course, the dogs - total sweet hearts. Can't wait to visit again.
My two kid (ages 17 and 9) and I stayed at the Goose Pond Inn B&B for a ski trip to Gore mountain (which is less than 6 minutes away) over MLK weekend. We had a wonderful stay. While Dakota was away that weekend, Dakota’s mom Dawn and her friend Heather (who is helping out over the next few months) took great care of us during our stay, providing a warm welcome when we arrived (including helping us get our stuff upstairs to our room). They made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were tasty and filling, providing us plenty of sustenance for a full day of skiing. Our room (Pinewood Glades) was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for the three of us. It snowed the night before we headed out, and Dawn and Heather made sure to have the driveway plowed that morning and went the extra mile to shovel out around our car as well. We’ll definitely be back!…
My wife and I spent a few days at Goose Pond Inn to see the fall colors. What great hospitality! Dakota (owner) helped us to decide which days would be best to view the beautiful countryside. Lacey (innkeeper) prepared delicious breakfasts and accurate recommendations for good restaurants. Our bed was very comfortable. There was strong-running water for end-of-day showers and movies to watch in the attractive living room. The two of them seemed to have thought of everything to make our visit memorable. We definitely will return!
We booked all but 1 of the rooms at this lovely B & B for a family getaway. This is a fabulous place and Dakota, our owner host is wonderful. She was so helpful in planning and hosting a small surprise party for our daughter the first night we arrived. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the Breakfast is delicious. We so look forward to our next visit to North Creek and the Goose Pond Inn.
Lovely B&B. Believe the reviews. Dakota’s a great host. The rooms are beautiful, beds comfortable, and food outstanding. Nice balance of privacy and friendliness. Close to all the fun. Definitely staying again!
Top reviews are spot on! I had a wonderful time here! Felt like I was at home all cozy and warm - didn't want to leave to ski! Breakfast was SO, SO good! I'm covid-sensitive, but felt safe with the protocols in place here. Can't wait for my next visit! Dakota is just the best hostess ever!
We recently stayed at the Goose Pond Inn during our ski trip to Gore Mountain with our two young daughters. Dakota was an amazing host, and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. She is also a ski instructor at Gore, and gave us some guidance to ensure we made the most of our time at the mountain. Breakfasts were delicious, and her COVID safety measures were very thorough. Her dog Sophie was also a great host - very patient and friendly with children. We hope to come back for another visit!
You MUST stay at this place! I promise you will not regret it. I'm actually very upset that we only stayed for one night but one night was all it took to feel like you were part of the family. Dakota, the owner, took over this B&B a little over a year ago and has completely renovated the bedrooms, bathrooms, dinning area etc. Granted, when you pull into the driveway the outside lacks some luster but DO NOT judge a book by it's color. Upon entry you are greeted by the most amazing goldendoodle, Sophie. She barks and may catch you off guard but she's a peach and just wants to be loved. You are also greeted by an aroma of something cooking or baking and lucky us, we had fresh baked pumpkin bread waiting for us. There's tea/coffee/beverages and snacks available for you at all times, the rooms are gorgeous and the beds are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. We mixed ourselves a drink and sat downstairs in the living room and had the best conversation with Dakota and her Mom (We just called her Mom the whole time). Mom comes up almost every weekend which makes this place even more special. The next morning we had the most amazing breakfast which is ready at the time you requested......fresh off the griddle. I just met Dakota and I'm so proud of what she is doing to the place and her vision. She has come so far and has done so much to make this B&B a home for everyone who comes to stay. We are definitely going back to ski since Gore Mountain is right around the corner. Don't look anywhere else, you need to stay at the Goose Pond Inn B&B…
