Sheraton Niagara Falls is often celebrated for its prime location, a stone's throw from the iconic falls and local attractions. Guests commend the hotel's range of amenities, such as the clean pool and diverse dining options, despite some areas needing a refresh. The hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, with well-kept rooms and common spaces.
While the service is generally applauded for being friendly and professional, occasional lapses in staff attentiveness are noted. However, some travelers express dissatisfaction with additional fees, and there's a consensus that room updates are necessary.

Detailed Reviews

I stayed here with my 70+ year old mom and teenage daughter for 2 nights in mid August. The hotel is in the NY side and it’s a convenient 2 blocks, pleasant walk to the lovely Niagara Falls State Park . The young lady at check in was very pleasant and upgraded us when we mentioned we were celebrating a special birthday. She was training a new employee and reminded her to let us know of the extra pleasantries associated with being Elite Bonvoy customers. There is a lounge for platinum and above members with includes snacks, happy hour and continental breakfast. The lady at breakfast was lovely and very friendly. The pool area is wonderful, with a huge pool and two large hot tubs. It was nice to have a laundry room available at no extra charge to wash and dry our bathing suits and wet clothes from the falls. The beds are very comfortable , the room and the hotel overall is a little tired and the carpeting should be replaced throughout as some of the floors had an unpleasant odor. Location is great and close to the casino, some restaurants, the falls for the nightly fireworks ,visiting the attractions and a 10 minute walk to the Rainbow bridge to walk over to the Canada side. We were only there for two nights which was fine, there doesn’t seem to be much to do in the direction opposite of the falls unlike there is on the Canadian side. I’m a nature buff so I found the NY side perfect for walking and hiking. Parking is at a public lot across the street for $20 per day, but they validated my parking pass and credited the parking charge which it was a pleasant surprise.

The family suite that we stayed in was spacious and clean with enough room for our family of five. The bunk beds were a hit with the younger kiddos and the adults were thankful for the space to spread out after a long day of sight seeing. The room that we stayed in was dated and in need of a refresh but that didn't detract from our stay. The on-site parking is convenient and it was easy to come and go as needed. FREE!!! laundry services are located on the 2nd floor but there are only two washers and two dryers so plan to do laundry early in the morning or late at night when guest traffic is light. The hotel is situated just a few blocks from Niagara Falls making it possible to stop by the room for a break in between excursions.

This was our first time visiting Niagara Falls, and staying at the Sheraton made it even better! We drove around checking out hotels through the hectic Labor Day holiday festivities. The front desk lady, Bernita, sweetly greeted me and gave us a “special” 6th-floor room perfect for my husband and me. It was a busy time for the staff, and she and her colleague Marcea were still smiling and cooperatively assisting customers. I appreciated Bernita’s kindness in checking us in efficiently. As I checked in, I noticed Joseph giving water bottles to an older family of five adults. In addition, Joseph kindly assisted my husband and me with parking directions and Niagara Falls walking directions. We were glad he said it was only a 10-12 minute walk, and we enjoyed the festivities en route. We also enjoyed the hot breakfast on the “special” 6th floor the morning before leaving. The culinary crew, Matt and Kevin, did a fantastic job keeping things filled up and cleaned even while that small space was packed with people. They both kindly greeted customers and meeting needs, and Kevin helped folks by opening the door for them because their hands were full. Overall, I would highly recommend this place not only because it’s a beautiful and clean hotel but mainly because of the employees' kindness and attentiveness. I hope you enjoy it too!

Stayed here for a hockey tournament at the end of February and had a terrific stay. They provided a conference room for the hockey teams to hang out in to keep us out of the hallways and the noise/disturbance to other guests at a minimum which was so nice and convenient.
Housekeeping was there early everyday and did a great job cleaning and restocking the room.
The location was convenient and there was plenty of parking
Check in was quick and easy and some of our teams even got access to their rooms early
Pool area is beautiful, fun and clean

Despite Sheraton advertising an update, everything is still highly outdated. The room was clean but looks like something from 1970. Lol The staff was pleasant. The location was mediocre as we were able to walk places but there definitely isn't a view. It was nice to be attached to the casino via the tunnel as that also gave more food options. The shower in 610 changes from hot to cold while you are showering. The AC was very noisy but kept the room cool and helped to drown out some of the traffic. The bed was comfortable and the extra toiletries were a plus. However, the 4am evacuation due to a fire alarm on the 6th floor was extremely inconvenient and disruptive to our stay. All in all, I probably won't recommend or stay again until the remodeling is completed. For those staying, I do recommend they pay extra for the 6th floor lounge though.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We're glad our team could make your acquaintance, and it's great that you enjoyed our convenient access to the casino. However, we regret the disappointment you experienced with aspects such as our decor and the noise disruptions. We greatly appreciate your patience during our remodeling, and it was a pleasure having you here. We hope to welcome you back once our transformation is complete for a truly exceptional stay.

The employees were kind enough, but the rules they were expected to enforce were unreasonable. An overwhelmed security guard on night one was patrolling the lobby with an iron fist, and then it looked like Vin Diesel's cousin was brought in for the remainder of the weekend so they must always have to keep a secure presence in the lobby and what not. Pool is great, there are good food options within the hotel but hours are pretty limited and the prices aren't the most reasonable considering what is offered. We stayed in a tremendously underwhelming suite. The pillows and mattresses might have had something in them 20 years ago when they got them, but now they're just empty shells inside of a sheet. The TV mounted in the suite would have made Michael Scott proud, and it was essentially placed in the room's version of a hallway just outside of the door separating the bed from the "living area". Not only did the TV not face the couch, it was completely on the other side of a dividing wall. Luckily by the time we stopped laughing at the setup we did not have time to kick back and watch any TV anyhow. Plus, even if we did only about 2 of the channels came in. The carpet was crunchy, but it was so suspiciously crunchy that after being upset about it for a whole day I actually came around and wondered if it was a trendy design I was unaware of. My son almost had to be put into concussion protocol when he was blasted by the ice cold laser beam of a jet stream they called a shower. Luckily once we discovered how to get the warm water to work it dribbled out so softly that we almost felt the need to apologize to the shower head for working so hard. Lastly, my wife and I were the only ones capable of flushing the toilet, which I'm assuming the engineer borrowed the blueprint of a medieval catapult to aid in their design of the flushing mechanism. If you are looking for a room in the area and do not care what you pay and at the bare minimum need a secure room that you can technically sleep in, this is for you. For what its worth, there were signs everywhere of a renovation coming in 2024! Unfortunately, our stay was in November of 2024 and there were no signs of a renovation anytime soon. Although there were 700 other actual signs of what you could and could not do.

Central, 5 minutes walk from the falls. Old room, without a view of ours, proper cleaning, with a microwave which is practical there because you can buy food and heat it in it... and the worst thing is the breakfast room is full, you have to queue... and I have breakfast like everyone else there... eggs, churruscado bacon, cereals and little else... I didn't see hot milk🤷🏼♂️

National Grange Convention 11-19 Nov 2023 held its' annual event and we booked out your hotel and had to get a second location. The Sheraton was directly across the street from the NF Convention Center and a short walk to the Falls, perfect location. The staff was very courteous. I was involved in a fall of a woman at your side door and the staff provided a first aid kit and brought out a wheel chair to transport her to the Convention Center which was used all day. They did check on her that evening. All was well, her cut elbow and hand was recovering. Thank you for the assistance. Used the Club on 6th floor, as a Marriott member, and all the staff there were very friendly and kept the room clean and drinks and snacks well stocked.

First off the location is really good - just 3 blocks from the park entrance. For first timers like us you may wonder "where are the falls?". We even had several people walking around town ask US this question! Well, from the hotel, at the end of Old Falls Street (about 3 blocks) you enter the "park" on foot - no vehicles are in the park except the Niagara Scenic Shuttle that goes to Goat Island. To your left in the park is the shuttle pickup and where you buy shuttle tickets. If you take the path along the river to the right you will reach a falls viewing area and in that vicinity is also the ticket purchase and boarding location for Maid of the Mist.
Back to the hotel...Lots of fees charged (Destination Amenity fee, Destination Marketing fee, plus associated taxes and $21.60/day to park. All very confusing and one would think since breakfast is not provided (unless you upgrade), housekeeping not provided during stay, Hydrospa is closed, TGI Fridays is closed etc. that the hotel would reduce or waive some of these fees. The hotel provides guests a sheet of paper with pool and arcade hours and other information but we did not notice until AFTER our stay that it also says that the "destination amenity fee" includes an "adventure passport card, providing our guests with area discounts". We never received a "passport card" or knew about this until we returned home.
It's a busy hotel and the lobby area is very upscale looking. There's a Starbucks, Rainforest Cafe, arcade (not free) and underground path to cross the street to the Casino. It would have been nice to be able to get a small snack or ice cream at one of the in hotel food establishments but we did not see where you could.
As for the rest of the hotel it is fine but as with most hotels could use some attention. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. One bathroom outlet was not working, wi-fi was a nightmare to connect to, the hotel room door does not automatically lock when closed (I had a friend walk in when the door was shut), the door peephole is too high for anyone who is not tall to see out of, the walls are paper thin.

I had the casino view but the hotel does have 6 or 7 floors and depending which side of the hotel you’re on, you might see a glimpse of the fall
Yes. But before you get excited, other than breakfast, it’s almost useless. You can grab a bottle of water/ coke and pretzels. That’s about it. Breakfast is limited, but can’t complain.
When we were there in March, the pool was open and so were the two hot tubs. No masks were required in the pool area.
Yes, that's where we stayed when visiting the Falls with our dog.
