Detailed Reviews
Rooms were nice and clean. Close to falls and other attractions. Not enough parking for the hotel guests was a daily struggle to back into a spot. Staff would stop talking when you walked into the same area as them and look at you like you was going to steal something. Kids loved the pool easy to find the rooms. Big refrigerator no microwave no coffee pot. Had bags of chips and cans of soda from front desk when they had it. Hard to get clean towels and trash bags from the room cleaners when you saw them. No other vending in hotels take your own snacks.

The first impression of the hotel and its surroundings is very depressing. There is no lobby, no elevators, everything is dark and old, pool area is so dirty and small. I have to be fair and say that the room was OK, and location is convenient to Niagara park. The worst experience was with breakfast - food is very limited, not fresh ( see the picture of cream cheese), not enough place for people to seat. Only if you are on a very tight budget go to this hotel, otherwise, find something else

The hotel is dirty there is no room service. Breakfast is a joke. Yes is a walking distance to the falls but if you are driving is worth finding a hotel even if its a few miles away. Guest were leaving trash in the halls. The rooms were not clean!

Very well maintained hotel Kalika Hotel, Niagara Fals. To be frank being from west coast of US, the east coast hotels in the lower range fail to maintain basic amenities in working condition.
But this hotel just changed my perception. Each and every amenity is well maintained to perfection and customer satisfaction is at its level best.

The only reason I rented at this property was due to multiple good reviews. I could tell from the pictures that it was an older hotel but the reviews swayed me. I should have known better. The first red flag was walking into the very tiny office and seeing things just stacked in all the corners. No elevator was the next thing we ran into but far from the last. We reserved two rooms. One for us and one for my daughter's family. The chair in our room literally looked like it had been pulled from a dump. The curtains looked 40 years old and were dirty. Stains on the walls. The comforter and sheets had urine stains and what appeared to be blood stains. The bathroom had hair in the floor and shower. We ended up removing all covers from the bed except the cleanest looking sheet and sleeping on top. My daughter's room was even worse. The linens were so bad on their beds that they had management come up to try to resolve the problem. They could not and had to move them to another room. It was still not good but was at least a little better. The hotel seems to have made some effort on replacing some room fixtures like lights, faucets but they desperately need to spend some money upgrading things that actually touch a person's body. Linens, covers, pillows, floor, etc. The only reason I give this hotel any rating at all was because the staff was friendly and made an effort to help but the place was "filthy". In hindsight, I wish I had spent the extra $100 to stay down the street!

Horrible hotel. There was never anyone at the desk during the daytime when our key card randomly stopped working and we got locked out of our room and when trying to check out. We waited 30 minutes for desk service while the phone rang at least 15 times while standing there and no one to answer it. There are huge spiders everywhere hanging down in your face in every hallway and the cleaning people just throw huge trash bags in every entrance to where we had to step over them to exit the building. Crappy service, not worth the price.

Absolutely one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been in some weird places. Stay far away! No hot water, broken TV, landlines in room don’t work (which is a safety violation). No one is ever at the front desk. Bad.

The rating of this review is based off expectations. The staff was very nice, answered our questions and allowed us to keep our car parked after checkout so we could go on a tour. This is a 1960s hotel that the owners have updated. Our room had a more modern look to it. The bed was comfortable and we got a great night sleep. The breakfast was basic but enough to fill us up.

This hotel is a short walk to the falls. You have to walk by some abandoned homes on the way though. The bedding was very soft, and the shower was great. It is a little worn, but mostly clean. There was some toothpaste residue left in the sink from a previous occupant. I unknowingly dropped my credit card, and the staff immediately found it and brought it to my room.

Yes. It's a former Super 8, then was the Waldorf Niagara and then Terrapin Inn. Looks like the owner sold it in 2018.
I'd be *really* careful. Last time I was there, they said that they were unwilling to look after my bag. I went across the road to the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and asked them to look after it. I felt much safer.
FYI, last time I was there various people swore at me, insulted me etc. Just beware. I'm sure that they are nice people and were having a bad day, but still.
I do not recall seeing microwave in room, only fridge. There was a microwave in breakfast room but not sure if able to use anytime.
