This hotel is misrepresenting itself. The favorable reviews are incomprehensible. The place was in disrepair. The pool was not opened and overgrown. It hasn't been open in awhile. There was construction debris in the yard. Our room was crowded, outdated, and depressing. I wouldn't even get in the shower. Late at night when we got back we discovered that it was filthy under the bed. When we mentioned our concerns to the owners they became belligerent. They told us all about their rave reviews and that we were hurting their feelings. No response--expect to tell us we could leave. Where are we suppose to go when we barely have 24 hours to visit? We just wanted some acknowledgment of our concerns (especially the cleaning--and maybe an offer to either clean or bring supplies. We used bathroom towels to clean the floor) An offer of a reduction in price would have been nice. Because of the hard times on hotels right now we wouldn't have accepted it. But to at least make the offer. That would have been appreciated. For some reason we paid a really overpriced amount for the room. No acknowledgement of our issues (misrepresenting the hotel on websites and not caring about cleanliness) were met with pushback and being told we were banned from he property. So, if you stay here, make sure not to express any dissatisfaction. They don't want to hear it. Where all the accolades are coming from, who knows? I do know that the hotel reported our booking to the booking site as having been canceled--that we were a no-show. That meant we didn't get to write a review. How convenient. I corrected the error and made sure to let the site know they were posting a hotel that is grossly mis-represented on their site.…
Front desk was very helpful. The rooms are spacious. The fire pit and grill made for a fun family time. This motel is very close to all attractions. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Niagara.
Made reservation on July 24th, 2020 and found out on July 25th, 2020 could not travel to NY as Louisiana is on their quarantine list. FREE CANCELLATION was advertised by Agoda so I cancelled. Anchor Motel billed me for my rooms. Spoke to Linda at Anchor and she said nothing she could do as outside agency did booking so she would be charged a commission. Asked her to refund my charge minus the commission she would have to pay and she said no. I am out $252. Anchor Motel, Trip Advisor and Agoda are all in this together and should be ashamed of their money grubbing actions.
Stayed with my sister on a long weekend. Location was central without being right in the middle of things. Perfect for covid-19 times. They have a huge backyard in the Niagara River. Bathrooms are dated and the windows let in some flies/ants/moths but that's just the grassy /water area. Hosts took her time to go through maps and attractions which was extremely helpful. All recommendations were excellent. Would stay again.
Never been to the area. Attempted to find a place that was very near Niagara Falls. Booked for two nights and ended up having to stay somewhere else. Let management know right away and have told them numerous times I am more than willing to pay for the first night. We did not stay here at all but I believed it was fair to pay for the first night. Asked kindly for a refund for the second night as we never even stepped foot on the property. They have refused more than once. Basically, if you book here and end up not being able to stay you are out everything. We will not return.
