An excellent stop for 4 of us, (3 were cycling on the Erie Canal trail). This was a very pleasant stay for us; excellent breakfast, indoor bike storage, lovely garden area, great recommendation for an outstanding dinner.
We stayed here for a one night getaway and it was truly lovely! The hosts were so kind and gracious. We were given a larger room than we'd booked upon arrival, greeted with cookies, and offered cheese and crackers in the late afternoon. Our room was beautiful and the inn is so close to the Erie Canal trail. We took a bike ride over there and enjoyed all the fall leaves along the trail. The next morning we had a fantastic breakfast and got some recommendations for our day. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking for relaxation and quality amenities.
The room in the Vintage Gardens BnB was fantastic, nicely decorated und the historic house is kept very well. Breakfast was superb and Kimberlee, the manager, was extremly helpful in many ways. Thank you and best regards from Munich/Germany!
My daughter and I loved our stay at the Vintage Gardens B&B. The home was beautiful and our room was delightful. We especially loved the huge claw-foot tub. The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast was delicious! Our hosts were friendly and gave us a great suggestion about some places to visit in the area that had not been on our list and turned out to be one of the highlights.
I was holding my review until I had breakfast. I’m vegan and told the inn keeper of my dietary needs when I checked in. I was served a delicious breakfast of toast, jam, strawberries and a vegan frittata. I’m so impressed. The grounds are immaculate and my room was so charming and very specious. I will definitely return.
Gorgeous old hotel and delicious breakfast. Hosts Mike and Kim were wonderful. This was a waypoint on our Buffalo to Albany bike ride. Worked out great and close to the downtown restaurants. Breakfast was a lemon poppyseed French toast. Delicious.
Quaint little place. Love the old vintage style rooms with the 100 year old floor squeaks. We were visiting the Palmyra/Newark area on and LDS (Mormon) historical sites tour so it was quite fitting. Everything is not perfect which makes it perfect. Such character and we were well taken care of. Lovely sun rooms and sitting areas. We were out and about and only slept here. Next time will enjoy the property more. Would definitely come back.
My husband surprised me with a birthday getaway because of my love a bed-and-breakfast. This is by far one of the nicest cleanest B&Bs I’ve ever stayed in. The owners went out of their way to make you feel welcome and even called reservations at a local restaurant. They thought of everything from goat milk soap to special shampoo and conditioner called Mooseberry which I absolutely adored. The breakfast the following morning was delicious. I can’t wait to return in the summer and see the beautiful gardens. Thank you for making my day so special. Gail Sweitzer
If you want to support a fantastic local business, this is the place. The owners couldn’t have been more gracious and the house is huge, amazing and charming all at the same time. It’s a true bed and breakfast. The house was decked out in its finest Christmas decorations which added to the charm. Our room was huge and comfortable; the large tub was a great amenity after a long day of driving. Our experience was first rate. Thank you!
The house is interesting in itself: inlaid flooring, a well--preserved late 19th-c bathroom, Victorian woodwork, etc. The bed comfortable and warm on a cold night; the heavy flannel sheets were cozy. The electric heater warmed the room pretty quickly. The toiletries were generous and thoughtful. Two minor issues: I had to replace one of the pull-down shades twice in its holders since it kept falling out as I tried to lower it. Also, there was no easy place to set up a laptop. I had to remove one drawer of the dresser so my knees would fit into the empty space in order for me to get close enough to the keyboard. A desk in the room would have been helpful. Other than these two easily fixed issues, everything in the room was good. And the entire house and neighborhood was blessedly quiet at night. Kimberlee served two tasty breakfasts and was kind enough to give me a tour of the gardens and grounds. She's done a wonderful job with the plantings. Both he and her husband are fine hosts. I'd like to go back during the spring or summer to see the gardens in bloom and the trees leafed out. I'd strongly recommend Vintage Gardens to anyone.…
