We had a wonderful stay at the Watergrasshill B&B. The house is beautiful, cosy, charming and very clean. It is situated on an idyllic piece of land with very convenient access to the main streets of New Paltz as well as hiking trails. The daily homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious! Finally, the owner, Alana, was extremly welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We highly recommend this place. It was the perfect gateway from the city.
Restored and expanded home from 1810 on expansive property with rolling hills on a quiet country road. 4 guest rooms decorated with style by the onsite owner Alana. Modern styled bathrooms and ample sized rooms include homemade breakfast and passes for the Mohonk Preserve nearby. We stayed there to walk and hike the nearby trails. Nice restaurants within 5 minute drive to the center of town. Home is clean, quiet and well maintained. The pictures from the website are exactly what you will see and experience.
My husband and I spent a lovely anniversary weekend at Watergrasshill B&B. Our room was bright, clean, and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and back up to The Walkill Valley Rail Trail. Alaina, the innkeeper prepared our delicious breakfast each morning. Alaina is very knowledgeable about the area and provides helpful information when planning your day/stay. The inn is located a short distance to the main area of New Paltz. After spending a busy day of hiking and enjoying the sites, my husband and I looked forward to returning to our cozy B&B to open a bottle of wine and relax on our cozy porch. We had a wonderful stay and have already recommended Watergrasshill B&B to all our friends.
Our stay at vWatergrass Hill was a perfect getaway. Location is close to town, quiet and Alana keeps an immaculate hone. Clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was yogurt ,homemade scones, fruit, muffins and coffee and tea was always available. Her suggestions for restaurants were delicious. If you want to get away I highly suggest staying here
Love this place. Beautiful and historic generationally owed. No detail left undone. Each room is beautiful decorated and modernized. Proprietors are friendly and knowledgeable about current area interests and activities. Each room has a small notebook with Restaurant, hiking, Winery, Distillery and Breweries to visIt. Scenic 10 minute drive from Main Street, New Paltz. There is a barn on the property with a Sunset Porch and gas, high table fire pit where we enjoyed the end of a great day with a glass of wine before dinner. No need to do any addition research for this destination. Alan’s took all the guess work out of it. Already thinking of a return trip this Winter to cross country ski. Take advantage of this elevated level of hospitality in a cozy, home environment.
