PROS:: Very warm hostess, Ginger, who makes you feel at home; Bountiful, delicious breakfast; Spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. CONS: Grounds are lovely but in need of some attention and grooming; Bedding is of inferior quality Property could use a de-cluttering and some updating.

Nothing fancy, but very welcoming. Innkeeper was very helpful. Very comfortable sitting room in which to relax. Good solid breakfasts and accommodating to folks dietary requirements. I would go back. Good value for the money. Very flexible to our group.

This is a terrific place, with a lovely, efficient hostess, Ginger. Rooms were comfortable. The old house was built by the Shakers. I stayed once this summer and have reserved the whole place for a family event in October. Highly recommended!

Loved this B & B! Convenient to Tanglewood and Hancock Shaker Village. Ginger is delightful and we met interesting guests over breakfast (delicious!). Room was very comfortable. Wi-fi works without any problem. We enjoyed watching the chickens walking around the property, and my friend swam in the pond!

We stayed at Hitchcock House during our weekend at the Films Columbia Film Festival in Chatham, NY (about a 20 minute drive). We loved every minute of our visit. The accommodation are homey, spacious, and very comfortable. The hosts, Ted and Ginger, make you feel immediately at home and served a delicious breakfast each day. Because of our busy Festival...

A group of 6 of us attending a nearby meeting were bumped from our reservations at Shaker Mill Inn and Ingram (the proprietor) booked us with Hitchcock House nearby. We were very happy with our alternate accommodations. The beds were comfortable and the rooms with private bath (shower) clean and tastefully decorated. The owners Ted and Ginger were delightful and...

We've stayed with Ted & Ginger for several years now, as part of a group of 10-12 friends who have a Tanglewood Weekend every year. (Hitchcock House is only 20-25 minutes from Tanglewood.) The rooms are all comfortable and well-appointed, each with private bath and air conditioner In addition to the 6 rooms in the main house, there is a...

This was our third year of our staying here while we enjoyed a weekend at Tanglewood with our friends. The owners, Ted and Ginger, are very gracious hosts and serve very delicious breakfasts. The place is neat and clean, the beds comfortable. It is in a beautiful rural setting and only a 20 minute drive to Tanglewood. I highly recommend...

This inn is very convenient to Tanglewood and other Berkshire venues. It is clean, comfortable and very reasonable. The beds are extremely comfortable, the breakfasts are a delight and the hosts, Ted and Ginger, are among the most accommodating innkeepers I've ever met. On top of all that, the inn is situated in a beautiful setting. I've stayed here for...

“The house is very close to the road. It didn't bother me, but if you are a light sleeper and sensitive to traffic noise, you may want to select a room toward the middle or back of the house. The passing traffic is light in volume but very fast.”
