My wife and I stayed at the Vagabond Inn last year for the first time and it was fantastic! I took my wife there last weekend, for a surprise birthday getaway. We absolutely love it there! It's such a beautiful place inside and out! The rooms and the entire place, are spotless. Danielle takes excellent care of her guests, to ensure their stay is the best it can be. She went above and beyond to make our stay to celebrate my wife's birthday was very memorable. It's incredibly relaxing spending hours in a room with a private outdoor jacuzzi facing the mountain at sunset, unwinding with a bottle of wine. The breakfasts are phenomenal too!! We've never had a breakfast that good anywhere in all our travels! We miss it already and are looking forward to staying there again! Thanks for everything Danielle! Sorry for your loss Penny...

Wanted to surprise my wife with a last minute get-away weekend. After reading about the Vagabond Inn, I really wanted to go there. We've never stayed at a B&B before, so we weren't sure what to expect. Unfortunately, because it was last minute, we could only get a room (The Lodge) for one night. The Vagabond Inn is beautifully decorated. The Lodge suite was awesome and very unique. Breakfast was outstanding!! I travel a lot for business, across the US and to several different countries, but this is by far my favorite place to stay now! You can't help but relax here! Penny was a pleasure to deal with and talk to! She made us feel welcome and right at home. There was a full kitchen and washer/dryer to use also. We stayed at another B&B for our second night in the area, that was comparable in accommodations and price, but it just didn't hold a candle to the Vagabond Inn! When we want to get away and relax, this will be our place to go! I can't wait to go back!

We traveled off season for our anniversary. Did a general search for anything cute with a hot tub and/or fireplace. Something to make it a little more cozy. This one popped up and I wasn't really convinced. It didn't list any rooms available as we were looking last minute so I had to email. Penny, the owner, got back to me very quickly and I gave her a call. The price was exceedingly good for the amenities (we had a Veteran discount on top of it being off season). Which, by the way, brings up that this is Veteran owned and operated as both Penny and her husband are Vets. Penny was very honest about the issues she was having with the internet and there is no cell service at the top of her hill. She gave a great description of the two rooms she had. We opted for the Wisteria, which is considerably smaller than the Lodge but I needed some windows and the Wisteria is very bright and airy. It is not tiny and does boast a gas fireplace and it's own personal hot tub that is brand new. It's off the kitchen but we were not disturbed by guests eating breakfast the first morning. We could hear them but it was not loud. The room is nice, the bathroom could use some updates. All was clean. The bottle of wine was a nice addition. My boyfriend actually slept the night, that is a huge plus for us anywhere! Breakfast was exceptional both mornings, we liked it enough to get the same thing both mornings. Shannon cooked the second day and does a very good job. Both Penny and Shannon are personable and easy going, down to earth people. We toured the other rooms. The Lodge is nice but wasn't my favorite. If I go again, I will opt for the Bristol. It's a little more secluded in the home than the Wisteria but still has some nice window access. It has a nice two person tub in the room and is near the common area hot tub and pool. There is a guest kitchen for common use that is fully stocked. It also has laundry. The kitchen is nothing special but a nice amenity if you have leftovers or need to store wine or pies from the local sellers. The area does not boast the amount of wineries as the other lakes but there is a restaurant in town that is wonderful, Roots Cafe. Definitely eat there if you decide to visit. There were updates that could put this Inn into the next level but for the price it is a 5. Updates in the bathrooms and the little amenities such as big fluffy towels and long plush robes would be a great touch. Its obvious Penny will continue to add to the experience and improvements of her place as is evidenced by the amazing change in reviews from the former owners to her ownership. Thanks for the great anniversary Shannon and Penny. Much appreciated!

We had a weekend getaway planned. Knowing the weather was unpredictable, we still decided to see it through. The morning we were to stay I received and email stating that there was a "No Travel Advisory" for their county and that road conditions were terrible. Penny was so understanding. A quick phone call to reschedule(which they prefer to do instead of a refund or cancellation) and everything was good to go. I'll continue the review after our stay...

Spectacular views, very nice Bed and Breakfast. Nothing against the place. Breakfast was good, room was comfy. The Internet connection was poor, water pressure was low. The bed was nice, just a bit on the firm side. We stayed in the Bristol Suite
