Detailed Reviews
The Blue Rose Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the beautiful Letchworth State Park. I actually can not say enough nice things about it! The hosts/owners, Michele and David Shaughnessy rehabbed this historic house themselves, with so much love and attention to detail. The furnishings are magnificent! The breakfasts are to die for - fresh baked scones, zucchini fritters, fresh fruit, elaborate egg dishes!! Snacks, hot and cold drinks available 24/7. Such thought and energy went into the Inn, EVERYWHERE!! Beautiful sitting rooms and outdoor patios amidst lovely gardens. We stayed in the Plum Garden Room which was very nice, however, I would recommend splurging for the Rose Garden Suite which was AWESOME!!! I also recommend booking directly with the Inn, rather than airbandb to save the $30 fee. .You will love being transported back to Victorian Age, but with modern conveniences!!! Book your stay now!

We had an amazing stay with Michele and David at the Blue Rose. The BnB’s location provided the perfect weekend escape. We spent two days exploring Letchworth State Park and visiting some local antique shops. The Blue Rose is close to restaurants and shops, so we were able to walk to dinner and pick up a few antiques without driving anywhere.
Our hosts were so helpful and accommodating; Michele provided wonderful snacks, coffee, and amazing breakfasts. We also had an opportunity to visit with Dave and Michele, and they are just fantastic people.
The home is a beautifully restored building, and it appealed to our love of old historic homes.
We strongly recommend the Blue Rose Bed and Breakfast, and we look forward to booking a trip here again in the future.

My wife and I were looking for a romantic getaway for the weekend and hit the jackpot with this find.
Michelle and David are a retired couple who have poured their hearts into every little detail of their beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast and the experience of their guests. The garden, the rooms and bathrooms are immaculate and decorated in great taste. The bathrooms have heated tiles and heated towel racks. Michelle is an amazing baker and welcomed us with freshly baked raspberry bars and a hot pot of coffee.
The B&B is just a short stroll away from the charming downtown area of Mt. Morris and a few miles from the entrance of Letchworth State Park, another hidden gem itself.
I highly recommend a stay at the Blue Rose. It’s definitely a hidden gem that won’t disappoint.

We stayed here to explore nearby Letchworth State Park and it was the perfect location to do so. From the time we arrived to the time we left, the hosts were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was among the best B&B breakfasts we have had with numerous delicious dishes. Michele, the owner/innkeeper, gave us a personal tour of the historical aspects of the house - very interesting history! This house was lovingly restored and decorated and retains many unique architectural features of houses built during the period. It was fun talking to the owners over breakfast and they offered tips and ideas on where to explore. Great attention to detail in the bedroom and bathroom and both were very clean (and snacks were provided too!). We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to our friends if they are visiting this area!

My husband and I had to travel unexpectedly to attend funeral services for a family member. The Blue Rose was just what we needed after a long trip and a long day. Our suite was so comfortable, and the jetted tub was amazing! This home is a delightful step back to Victorian times with many thoughtfully chosen antique pieces throughout. Dave & Michelle were wonderful hosts and so thoughtful. They are very knowledgeable of the area, and told us about a great spot down town just a short walking distance for a drink and a bite to eat, and the breakfast in the morning was probably one of the best I've had, and a truly memorable experience. The grounds are impeccably maintained with a great front porch for sitting and relaxing. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Michele and Dave were friendly and have opened their home and made it comfortable and enjoyable. They made delicious breakfasts both mornings and allowed me to keep them company while my husband was in Perry at a softball tournament. It was relaxing and welcoming. I highly recommend this B & B and the quaint little town of Mount Morris for a quick little getaway, whether it’s to do some antiquing or to see the most beautiful Letchworth State Park or just to spend a relaxing weekend away from life. Thank you Michele and Dave! We will be back!

This was our second time staying here and Michelle and Dave are the best hosts. The breakfast is delicious and I loved having my morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the beautiful gardens. The rooms are nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable.
Also, it’s a few minutes from Letchworth State Park and about 5 minutes to SUNY Geneseo.
Thank you Michelle and Dave! Can’t wait to come back!

We spent three nights at the beautiful Blue Rose Bed and Breakfast, and what was obvious from the moment we arrived was Michele and Dave's attention to detail, which started with the small gift to honor our anniversary and continued to the lovely decor of the entire house, the efforts to make our stay as positive as possible and the wonderful, wonderful breakfasts. Each of our three breakfasts was as creative as it was delicious. The house was well-situated for our visits to Letchworth State Park and the surrounding environs and located on a quiet street, walking distance to town (an added rec for dinner at Questa Lasagna). Thank you, Michele and Dave.

Our stay at the Blue Rose was everything we had hoped for! Michele and her husband have an awesome B&B. Our room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Outside of our room was a coffee station with complimentary snacks, water, and coffee. Breakfast was delicious. As I’m gluten-free, Michele made a German pancake with fruit. It was one of the best breakfasts that I’ve had! If you enjoy being outdoors, they also have beautiful gardens surrounding the property with plenty of places to lounge. I highly recommend the Blue Rose Victorian Bed and Breakfast!!

A beautiful and historic bed and breakfast with hosts that make you feel
like family. Michelle and her husband welcomed my family and friends and were more than accommodating with our needs. The house is meticulously restored with period art and decor that will take you back to the turn of the century. The beds were very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms were 4 star. We will definitely be back for another stay at the Blue Rose.
