I have been staying at the Harborside for a couple of nights in August for the past 21 years, and I look forward to it every year. The rooms are always impeccably clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it's always quiet. The pool is beautiful and there are tennis courts out back. Merle is always wonderful to work with and I enjoy catching up with her each year. Although the prices have gone up over the past few years (like everything else!), it is still very reasonable when compared to other similar properties. During my stay, the ice machine wasn't working and Merle was waiting on a part. This was a very minor inconvenience, as there are three marinas within walking distance that sell ice. Although a lot of things in Montauk have changed, the Harborside remains clean, reliable, and affordable, and has a very "Montauk" feel about it, and I recommend it to everyone.

My wife and I stayed here 9/15:9/17. Rooms very basic but clean. Plenty of a/c and hot water Great housekeeping staff. Manager at checkin got us quickly situated. Property very quiet in evening. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend. Enjoy the trip

My husband and I stayed three nights at this beautiful motel in the Montauk Harbor area. The room was very clean, and the service was excellent. I especially loved the vibrant flower beds, charming potted plants, and the overall neighborhood vibe. The location was ideal—just a short walk to Montauk Cycle Company for bike rentals and Viking Fleet for whale watching. We also enjoyed some fantastic nearby spots, like Goldman’s Deli for breakfast, and Salivar’s and Star Island Grill for dinnig with harbor views. We’ll definitely consider coming back!

First and foremost the property is perfectly located in Montauk and provide an ambiance of a New England Inn. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are spacious and clean. All the amenities that are needed to secure a peaceful stay are available. Management went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and I highly recommend the Harborside Motel for all future stays.

Best place to stay in Montauk for a real Montauk experience. Low key, clean, friendly with a great location and reasonable prices. We can walk to many restaurants and the whole area is quieter than right in town. There are BBQ grills and tables, tennis courts and a pool. The beaches on the sound are great for swimming because the water is calmer and its a short walk to incredible sunsets.

The owner Merle was a pleasure. Rooms are very clean and the pool is spotless. It is walking distance to all the fishing boats and gosmans. With plenty of restaurants around if your looking for a low key experience in montauk to step away from all the night life when you just want some quiet. Price is very reasonable.

This was my first time in Montauk and went for MDW. The weather was terrible as it rained the entire weekend but that did not stop us from having a great time. This Resort was perfect.
You can't beat the price or location. The rooms are big and very clean. Every person on staff was very friendly and you cannot ask for more then what you will get from Merle. Merle is the best and makes you feel right at home for the entire trip.
So many great places to eat that are in walking distance. Short drive to everything in town. I cannot wait to go back and visit and hope for a little sun next time.

My husband and I have been coming here for 20 years (ever since we were married) and it is by far the best hotel in Montauk. Great location and within walking distance to many restaurants and Gossmans Dock. Reasonably priced too so you can't beat that! We love seeing Merle each and every year we come, she always has a warm smile and kind words to say. It definitely is our home away from home!!!

Harborside is a hidden gem! Merle is so kind and the property is wonderful. The rooms were clean and the pool was an added bonus. It's located close to the restaurants and just a short ride away from the main part of town. I can't wait to come back!

I would suggest to book either a large or deluxe studio- 2nd Floor. If you prefer the lower level, they have a pool side deluxe studio that should be suitable for your stay. We recently booked with Merle for our stay in July. She'll be able to assist you with your reservation. You'll be in good hands with her!
