Me and two girl friends stayed here for LDW and we had the best stay here! The hotel price was *very* high given the holiday weekend, but it was the cheapest we were able to find in town booking only a week out. The motel completely made up for the price with their excellent service and friendly staff, especially Franklin who was working there during most of our stay. The hotel itself is really cute with a great pool area with cozy chairs beds, fire pits and picnic tables, and a cute shop in the lobby. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. We had maid service every day, which not all hotels were providing during this time due to covid. The hotel is located in the harbor side of Montauk, which is quieter than the downtown area, but there were still several restaurants, a beach and a liquor store within a short walk. The hotel is dog-friendly and the guests were mostly families or couples - not the party crowd of other Montauk locations. They hotel provides a free s'mores kit with stay, bottled water and coffee, and bottles of wine by the pool or to take to the beach. They also provide bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, and surf boards - all for free. Franklin was exceptionally friendly and attentive - my friends and I loved him and wanted to give him a big tip, but he was sadly not in when we checked out. Highly recommend staying here!…
Came here with my husband, son and dog for the Columbus Day weekend and to celebrate my husband's birthday. We love Montauk and usually stay on the ocean side, but dog friendly motels are hard to come by in Montauk so we appreciated finding this place. Room was tiny but charmingly decorated Bathrobes were a nice luxury and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were high quality. No hair dryer in my room which I had expected. No big deal although it would have been nice. I did ask the girl at the desk and she said she thought hair dryers were included but she wasn't sure. There was a single serve coffeemaker included although they ran out of coffee supplies on Sunday. There was an espresso maker available to guests but not until 8am and no regular coffee. We ended up purchasing some supplies in town to make coffee the last day. The bay beach was right across the road and was absolutely lovely. Chairs were available for guest use which was very convenient, as were paddle boards and umbrellas. There was a lovely firepit area although we didn't get to really enjoy it as it was monopolized by a large group every night. My only real complaint, which wasn't the motel's fault, was the other guests. There was a large group of family/friends and their kids renting several rooms that basically took over the whole place. They were very loud, drinking and partying in the firepit area til 1:00 am every night, kids running around, making noise, and so on. They were also not wearing masks or social distancing so we basically stayed in our room at night to avoid them. I wish people like this would rent a house together and not impose their party house vacation on the rest of us. I think if we stay here again I will call ahead to make sure there are no family reunions planned! …
Came here for 4 days for my birthday week and it was perfection! The vibe of the place rocks! Love all the fun common spaces to relax and chill. The firepit and garden area is super relaxing. The pool area is nice and spread out with different places to veg out. And you're steps away from the beach! They provide free beach chairs, paddle boards, bikes, and access to a grill. What more could you ask for?! The room was really clean and pretty spacious - our queen beds were super comfy! I would come back here next summer in a heartbeat! You're also super close to restaurants and can bike to Gosman's super quick. Also, Goldberg's Bagel Shop is about a 5 min walk for a quick breakfast. I can't say better things about this place. Such a perfect stay!
I booked a fully refundable two night stay at Haven. I became suspicious when I was billed the full amount for the stay prior to the cancellation date. I have never been charged in full for an advanced stay full cancellable rate. That is kind of the point. When I did cancel, i was informed I would be refunded in full. Over a week went by and nothing. I checked the website again where I made the booking and now it stated that the rate was non refundable! I have the email stating that it was fully refundable. I have wasted countless time and effort to get this refund processed, meanwhile being without my money for weeks. Terrible practice.
Stayed for three nights at The Haven. Perfect location, right across the street from the beach. Super chill and laid back. Pool area was nice with boho feeling decor and furniture. Franklin at front desk was welcoming and helpful. There are picnic tables and an outdoor grill, which many quests were taking full advantage of - fishing during the day and cooking your catch over a fire at night. Can’t beat that! Nightly fire pit with supplies to make s’mores was a nice touch. We appreciated that the hotel had paddle boards and bikes we could borrow. My kids took the paddle boards every day! Gossmans a quick walk around the corner. Room was clean and had everything you would need. Bathroom super tiny. Bathroom sink is pretty much unusable because of size and location. Mini kitchen area with fridge was convenient with kids! I did notice the outdoor seating by the fire pit was missing all of the cushions and there were several bulbs out in the string lights outside, probably just end of the season maintenance that needs to happen. WiFi rough, most of the time we did not have service but it was nice to disconnect anyway! Overall, we had a great time and would would def return! Thanks Haven!…
