We spent 3 nights here in July. The grounds are gorgeous (and well-maintained) , the breakfasts are excellent, as is Henry's restaurant. The atmosphere is restful with lots of nooks and cranny's to sit and read or view the Hudson River. The animal sanctuary is magical and the staff that cares for them is so dedicated and open to talking to visitors. I wish the spa was open, but I understand that it is being renovated. We had a wonderful get-away and hope to return next summer.

We rented the north cottage with our dog for a long weekend. It was about 1000 square feet with a full kitchen, open concept dining room and living room with a beautiful fully working fireplace, two bedrooms, and one bath. We were next to the aviary house but never heard the peacocks or hens/roosters. Everybody who worked there was so friendly, from the front desk, to the breakfast staff, to Henry's restaurants, to the spa, to the gentleman in charge of the grounds. We walked around the grounds with and without the dog all day, enjoyed the beautiful Hudson river and all the animals. My only criticism is the master bedroom bed. Its WAY too small and too uncomfortable. A nice Queen or California King would be awesome! Otherwise, I highly recommend the Inn and Spa.....

The best experience ever. We were celebrating a milestone birthday. Ray the manager went above & beyond to make sure that our stay was very comfortable. Sydney one of the inn keepers was extremely professional & helpful. The rooms were very clean. Matt & the entire staff at Henry’s made our experience really memorable. Matt Made sure that the service was impeccable. Javier was very professional as well. The food was phenomenal. Overall a five star experience!

The moment I made the reservation with my husband to the last minute of our experience surpassed every expectation! Mickey helped choose our room while making the reservation and her suggestions during the stay were so helpful too. If you’re looking for a couples getaway, girl’s weekend or just an escape from NYC, this is the spot to be! The dinner at Henry’s was fantastic, the breakfasts were delicious, and the tea and treats from a local bakery were a perfect touch in the afternoons. Ray was also extremely helpful with advice selecting activities or nearby towns to explore. The grounds were fun to walk around and everyone we met was super friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat!

I found the Inn in one of my parenting magazines for family-friendly vacations in NY. It certainly lived up to that! My daughter and I took a much needed two-day getaway around Memorial Day weekend 2021 to celebrate her birthday in a safe and COVID-safe manner. Everyone was wearing masks, they were able to accommodate our preference for outdoor dining. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was friendly. We stayed in the Gindelle, which is perfect for a family or anyone who wants some space. I would not choose the Gindelle for the jacuzzi, as it just tub with water jets, but it's something (we did not use it). We found the llamas, chickens, and bees. The Gindelle overlooks the pond with the swans and it's beautiful. Our first night, we ate at the restaurant. The food was tasty, the drink delicious, although a bit pricey, eating on premises always is. Some constructive feedback, which I gave the staff, who were so very receptive! The coffee and breakfast could have been better. If you are a coffee drinker, make sure you either bring some with you or know where you are going to get your fix. The breakfast was better than the free stuff you get a Hilton, but I thought this was a missed opportunity to serve up some delectable biscuits with fresh jam and beautiful fruit parfaits! I'm not sure if the breakfast was better before, but it was a bit basic. Second, I wish I had done a bit more planning. I have a young child so figuring out what to do during a weekday was a bit challenging. I wish I had engaged the staff more about this. We ended up going to the Mid-Hudson Bridge to walk and scooter and it was excellent. Truth be told we went there so I could find a Starbucks LOL. Anyway, while I was advised that there was a bit of flux at the Inn among staff, the staff with which I interacted were very hospitable. I would highly recommend this trip for family or couple getaway. Be prepared to relax, as I didn't find much to do with young child. Nonetheless, my daughter asks weekly when can we go back.
