Relaxing time at an old country farmhouse. We enjoyed the watching the horses, pigs, goats, donkeys and many chickens and ducks while walking around the property. Herman, the cat, greeted us each time we came out or headed inside. Our hosts, Shield and Mark, were wonderful and so friendly. Delicious breakfast and plenty of snacks. We would surely stay here again next time we are in the area.

What an amazing experience for a few days. Starting with being greeted outside (with masks) and having homemade cookies, tea, a warm fire...the hospitality by Mark and Sheila is just something you don't often get anymore. Our room was great and it was wonderful to have absolutely incredible meals to start each day and know that even though the portions are huge, that the food will go to the animals on the property so no one goes hungry and there is no waste! The property is conveniently located next to town, close to Chautauqua Lake, nearby wineries and more. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay and am planning to again and again!

We truly enjoyed our stay for my Birthday weekend! The house was all ours and we loved everything about it! The beds were very comfortable and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy! Mark made delicious breakfast for us.. best bacon ever! And we really appreciated every chocolate chip cookie Sheila made... we devoured them! Can’t wait to come here again! Herman was a great greeter every morning and evening when we came back from our adventures. Thank you Mark and Sheila for taking all the extra precautions for Covid.. never felt uncomfortable or at risk once while staying here. You have a wonderful place and we will be back! The Millers❤️

This is one of the higher end B&B's that you could go to. Great breakfast with excellent high quality, fresh and local ingredients. Great way for a couple from the city to see some farm animals and friendly outdoor cat. And most of all, Mark and Sheila who are the most welcoming hosts! I definitely recommend!

My husband and I celebrate our anniversary every year with a romantic winter wine weekend! For the last few years we have stayed in North East, PA, but decided to try someplace new this year that was more centrally located along the Chautauqua Lake wine trail. The Great Tree Inn is a lovely, old fashioned and charming Bed and Breakfast convenient to many wineries and restaurants. We stayed in the Victorian Violet room which was beautiful, comfy and cozy. Mark and Sheila were very friendly and gracious hosts, and all 3 mornings the breakfasts were bountiful and absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this bed and breakfast and we will definitely be return guests!
