Beautiful Sedona and the Red Rocks
We had a beautiful four night stay at the Hilton Bell Rock. Very clean, comfortable room with a kitchen, sofa, fireplace, balcony, and bedroom with very comfortable king mattress. The food here is excellent; we loved the breakfast and pool side cafe. This area is just so nice. It is not downtown Sedona which is very tourist oriented with lots of t shirt shops, gift shops, and New Age shops. We are so glad we stayed in this area away from all the crowds. Plenty of good restaurants close by and lots of wonderful trails which we loved. The hotel is GREAT and the pool area is gorgeous with views of the mountains.

    Below expectations
As others have mentioned, the quality of this property (both tangible and service) does not match the price. Even the location is not in such a position that it could potentially offset poorer quality of above. When we arrived, we found that our bedsheets had a large dirty footprint on the comforter and we found a small beetle that we don't *think* was a bedbug but took to the front desk to be sure. The concierge offered to send housekeeping to change the sheets and invited us to have a drink at the bar while we waited, which we felt was reasonable (though probably would have preferred a different room). We had just finished a long sweaty day of hiking so we asked to be updated when the room was ready. We took our time nursing our drinks at the bar (which took a long time to even be served) and never received an update. After about an hour and a half, we decided we would just go back up to the room to check. The sheets had been changed, but it was beyond irritating that the concierge didn't "close the loop" after saying that they would update us. Not to mention they also didn't automatically take off the bar charges when we checked out so I had to explain the entire situation all over again. Disappointing. The room itself was fine - we had booked a suite with a view which was of the golf course (recommend choosing "red rocks view" instead but honestly with the price premium it's probably not worth it), but the rooms are probably in need of an update. The showers had obvious cracks and need grout filler. With the exception of the bedsheets as discussed previously, though, the general cleanliness was acceptable. With the new changes to Diamond member food perks, I asked for clarification at the front desk when we checked in as to whether it was $15 per person per day or per night. They assured me to was per day and so we would have $60 credit for food. When we checked out, however, I was only credited $30 and I was told that it was actually per night, and they refused to refund me the courtesy credit even though they admitted that they were in error! Disappointing. As a general rule I think resort fees are total garbage, but usually at least there is some attempt to justify the fees. What are your "resort fees" paying for here, you ask? 1. Guest internet access - which Hilton says is complimentary for any HHonors member anyway (so why are we paying for this?) 2. Fitness center and spa facility access (please note that the public can pay for spa services here too, and the fitness center isn't so amazing that it justifies a resort fee). 3. Fitness classes for 2 (not happening due to COVID). 4. Putting green access (the only thing that remotely qualifies as resort fee eligible). 5. discounts on spa and merchandise (this is not a real "resort benefit" not to mention the lowest price package even eligible for the spa discount is $170!) Particularly when services are severely diminished from COVID, it's enraging that this resort fee is still being charged. We would not stay here again.

    This amazing resort
Our child has a medical condition and we were concerned to travel to this resort due to this pandemic. So we called the resort and spoke with Ida. She in turn emailed her boss Mr. Berry who reached out to us. He wanted to know how they could help make our stay great. We decided to go and checked in to our room, it was so stunning Mr. Berry made sure we had a view of the red rocks so my son could sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the breath-taking view. Mrs. Christiane Murphy informed us she had something to show our family. The staff and Mr. Berry had surprised our family with an additional room, they called the “Christmas Room”. Mr. Berry made sure it would be only our family that would be in that additional room. I would like to point out that air purifiers were place in both our private rooms and were running once we arrived. The staff decorated the entire Christmas room with a full-size Christmas tree, full decorations, a gift for my son, snacks, a frig full of drinks for our family, Christmas hats and Christmas movies. I cried! I could not believe it. Mr. Berry also set up dinner for our family in a private Igloo with a special visit from Mrs. Claus who brought my son a little gift. Mrs. Claus also gave each of my children a new Christmas ornament and sang Christmas songs with our family. Our waitress Kerri was so amazing! She really made sure we were ok. In the Igloo the staff had set up an air purifier so that my son and our family could feel safe. After dinner, a private fire-pit was set up for our family with s’mores. They even gave us blankets that had been sanitized so we could stay warm. I would like to say thank you to Mr. Berry for going out of your way to help my son and our family feel so special. Christiane Murphy for your warmth, kindness and for constantly checking in on us. Our waitress Kerri for doing such a great job. Deb for taking our phone order at the restaurant and then calling our Christmas room to check up on us and to see how our meal was. The Chef at the restaurant for making a special dinner for my son the night of our reservation, our son felt so special. House keeping for placing the towels in sealed bags to ensure us we were the only ones to touch them and for giving us trash bags when we needed them. Joe the manager at the restaurant for his hospitality and kindness. A very big thank you to Ida Kruger for really stopping to listen to me, for emailing her boss Mr. Berry and letting him know what my challenges were and the obstacles we were facing in bring my son to Sedona. The staff also place individually wrapped hand sanitizer wipes in both our rooms. We saw staff constantly cleaning hi touched areas and in the elevators they had sanitizer wipes you use to press the buttons and a trashcan for you to throw them away. They also had sanitizer stations through out the resort.

Pass this one... looks nice in the lobby and most the outside but our 3rd floor suite room was old, dirty and the carpet was sticky and I swear it had carpet bugs as I found one in my bed and jad several bites on my ankles. Lots of rotten wood on our balcony. The walls were gross. They took a cheap hotel and tried to make it amazing. My kids said the pool was dirty, the decor faded. I gave Hilton a month to respond to my Hilton reviews but no one contacted me. Do yourself a favor and pass this one. It cost us the same amount as the JW in Phoenix which was AMAZING!!!

What a great location in the heart of downtown Sedona. It is very dark at night so make sure you have a flash light. One is provided in the room if you need it! Walkable to many shops and places to eat. Amazing stargazing from your room or anyplace in the resort. It is very hilly so if you have problems walking or have an assistive device make sure you tell the hotel so they can accomidate your needs. The views for the entire resort are amazing!

Attended a conference and stayed additional days for my 30th anniversary. Surprised to find the hotel was aged and our bed was literally broken. It had a “crevasse” on one side where there was no springs. The issue was mishandled and we had to move our room 2 times over our 6 day stay.

Overall Hotel is very nice. Beautiful resort, plenty of amenities. High price tag, which is why 4 stars instead of 5, although that is very much the norm in Sedona. Quiet location in Oak Creek, away from the congestion of Sedona. Lots of restaurants near by. Pool is small for the size of the resort. My son enjoyed the stargazing on Saturday night.

This was our second time here and it was about the same as the previous trip 4 years ago. We flew in super early, had called the day before for an early check in and they couldn’t promise anything. We had reserved two rooms (connecting) and asked for just one. We tried to check in at 1 and they put us “on-call.” We never got called and checked back several times, ultimately got in at 4 when the rooms were magically ready at the appropriate time for check in. Kind of disappointing after traveling since 4:00AM. Despite the disappointment regarding check-in, the front desk staff were friendly and as accommodating as they could be. Once we checked in, they did inform us that we would get an assigned day for housekeeping (ours was day 6 of our 8 day stay). For a week’s stay, we could have benefitted from 2 days. But housekeeping staff were helpful when we needed trash taken out (leave it outside in the hallway) or if we needed extra soap or toilet paper. Like many other reviewers commented, the hotel could use some updating. It’s not terrible, but a lot of the lounge chairs and outdoor furniture were stained, the carpeting in the hallways and walls in the hallways are worn and the resort has a bit of an old feeling to it. My biggest complaint was with the pool- the chair pads were ripped and gross, there were only a handful of umbrellas, and most everyone was looking for some shade from the Sedona summer sun. The bar staff at the pool were friendly, but they no longer have drink service at the pool, you have to go to the bar to get drinks. If you order food at the bar, they will bring it to you at the pool. The gym was well appointed and there is a hidden lap pool that is much quieter than the hotel pool. The rooms were fine- again stained and ripped furniture, but the beds are comfortable and there wasn’t a lot of hallway noise. We had an issue with our air conditioner right after we checked in and was literally resolved 5 minutes after we called. The rooms do come equipped with a mini-fridge and microwave, but there are no utensils or cups in the kitchenette drawers. We found ourselves hoarding plastic cups and plastic utensils wherever we could find them, so we could eat breakfast or leftovers in the room. I don’t recommend the on-site restaurant/bar. Just a note on the location- it is about a 10-15 minute drive north to the main area of Sedona, but we love the location, it’s a bit removed and nestled on the edge of Oak Creek with some great views and quiet atmosphere- close to some great hiking!

Great check in and property is beautiful. The room was perfect - Clean and spacious. Great deck and view of the golf course. The outdoor patio for the bar was great and the music at night made the evening so much better. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommend.

We stopped here for one night to take a break in between some National Park visits. The pool was a nice break for our kids and the breakfast was delicious! Overall, the hotel is a little worn, but our room felt clean and we had no real complaints. Eat at Dellepiane nearby!

What a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of Cathedral Rock (my favorite) and Bell Rock. The evening view from our patio and the front courtyard as the sun set on the red rocks is indescribable. The peacefulness of this property. The view from our room was spectacular and hardly believeable. The pool was nice and cold after a long day of hiking. Starbucks on site open at 5:30 every morning. Excellent restaurant with a beautiful outside patio that I sat at in the morning with my coffee. So peaceful. I wish i would have booked longer than a week. We were so sad to leave it behind but we know we will be back and will return to this hotel every time! Thank you for one of the best weeks of our lives.
