Beautiful location on Long Lake. Older but comfortable room. Bathroom was small, but the room was clean. Has a small floating dock with chairs, some kayaks that can be used by guests, picnic tables, a small beach with a small swimming area. We will likely go back next summer because we did not allow enough time for us to enjoy the area. Did I mention the location was beautiful?
We came for my BF’s 30th birthday. The room was neat and clean showing typical wear and tear. If you are looking for 5 star then this isn’t it. If you are looking for a great place to stay with hot showers, comfortable beds, and amazing views, I suggest it. We stayed in room 19 which opens right up to the lake. The screen porch off of the room is probably amazing in the warm months. It was 35-45 when we were there. They provide kayaks and canoes at no charge. The hammocks on the beach are comfortable and the view is spectacular. My only advise would be to bring a space heater if you are staying in the colder weather. The heat to the room is radiator style with no fan so it doesn’t go far. It couldn’t keep up with the huge glass doors that lead to the porch so the room was cold unless we closed the drapes. We love it so much we are coming back in June and renting a cabin.…
Two great experiences staying at Motel Long Lake and Cottages... August 2018 and August 2019. My daughter attends a sleep away camp in the town and I have stayed at this hotel after trying others in the area. While the rooms may seem old fashioned, this family owned motel adds such great touches. Each room in the motel has its own screened in porch with water views, and the private beach has free kayaks, rowboats, hammocks and sand toys. Beautiful landscaping all around the property, which also offers cottages. Dogs are allowed in one of the motel rooms, but you must request that specific room because it's always booked!
We booked a cabin at the last minute towards the end of the week in mid September. We rented a cabin that was pet friendly which was great!! The accommodations were clean and adequate. Nothing fancy. The best part was the screened in porch. I would recommend however, that they provide more kitchen accessories and basic spices like S&P. The kitchen was definitely lacking some basic pots/pans to cook with. I would have packed more things, especially spices had I known there wasn't any of that provided. Next time I would like to stay in a cabin closer to the water as our cabin was tucked in the woods and was shaded most of the time. The grounds and add'l use of kayaks and canoes was great!! A very beautiful lake to visit.
We came to Water's Edge last spring and had such a good visit we returned this fall. Dana and family go above and beyond to make it cozy and a good experience. Love this place and we'll be back! Have my Long Lake list of food and prep stuff on my Ipad. Be sure to follow on Instagram as this little gem changes daily. PS ~ Tx Dana for taking Mom up to the cabin in your golf cart. She loved it and it solved my concerns!
