This Hotel is in the Middle of nowhere. Boring neighbourhood with absolutely nothing to do. Subway takes 10 minutes to Manhattan. The hotel is ok and quite cool with a terrace overlooking Manhattan. Reception staff nice and friendly. BUT A BIG WARNING. If you book via an OTA, ex Expedia, they charge 19 USD extra PER NIGHT. No information about this whatsoever in beforehand. Rooms are big and bed is confortable. Overall could have been good but I cannot forget the extra hotel fee. Bad bad bad!
I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel it's close to the subway and very clean, and you can't beat the views are amazing, also if you're a coffee addict like me you're going to love their coffee shop right next to the lobby.
I had initially checked in to “The Franklin Guesthouse” (I DO NOT RECOMMEND) , i found boro after a desperate google search and after checking reviews selected it. It did not disappoint! Rooms are nice and most importantly CLEAN! Staff helpful and friendly, unlike the previous hotel i was at, I FELT SAFE! the balconies are a great touch and i will 100% return to this property. Very grateful *
We were there for a couple of nights for the US Open tennis. The location was great - a few blocks from the subway stop and a 10 minute ride to Flushing. Everything was good. The coffee shop was nice, the bar in the restaurant was great (we had interesting and fun conversations with the bartenders) and the rooftop lounge was a must-visit. The rooms were amazing too - everything you need plus a special treat of a nice balcony (this may have been an upgrade). On street free parking so no need to pay an extra $40 for a garage. The best part was the friendly and professional staff. From check in to check out and everything in between, we were welcomed by happy, helpful people.
Wonderful property with friendly and helpful staff. Convenient to LaGuardia and an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. The restaurant also has great food, and the breakfast/coffee nook has everything you need for mornings. Really enjoyed my stay.
The place was great for a one nice stay with an amazing view. The roof top is a must see if you stay there. My only complaint was the bed was firm and didn’t have very comfortable pillows. Given that I would probably still stay there again.
Our family was in town for our daughter’s wedding. We had a positive experience with the staff and recommend this aspect of the hotel highly. As we were there for an entire week, it was unappealing to live out of our suitcases; there are NO DRESSERS in any of the rooms. (We had 4 of them). Perhaps that works for one or two nights but it became annoying to constantly root around our suitcases. The staff at BeeBe’s was very pleasant but it definitely was not the restaurant to choose if you were in a hurry. All in all, I would highly recommend the BORO Hotel. (Don’t forget to ask for a refrigerator and luggage rack - they are available but only if you request).
Stayed four nights at the Boro Hotel last month and enjoyed the spacious. clean and quiet room and bathroom with comfortable bedding. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would have preferred more furnishings in the room, especially a cabinet/shelving unit or two with drawers to stack and store clothing. The desk chair also could have been more comfortable. The area is a short walk from the subway and just a few stops from Manhattan. It's got a great 24-hour deli and some restaurants nearby. I would stay here again.
Our room was spacious and clean. Everyone we encountered over the three days was very nice and helpful. The hotel was quiet. We never heard any other guests while in our room. The bed was like a fluffy white cloud!
Stayed here on a recent business trip. Easy access to local amenities as well as midtown without the parking hassles if you have a car. Decor is a bit stark - something to interior the plain white and wood walls and concrete ceiling would be nice - and a little more lighting would have been useful. That said, the rooms are spacious. Free coffee/wine and the rooftop bar are nice.
