This is a great hotel in the Astoria Queens section of NYC. We stayed here after a brief stay in Manhattan and it is a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the city. I wish this hotel were closer to a few different restaurant choices and attractions but the accommodations were really nice. The beds left a lot to be desired as they were very uncomfortable and the sheets were absolutely terrible unfortunately but this is my only criticism.
Needed to stay here for a few days while my water damaged apartment was being renovated. And any place that let’s me take my dog with me gets 5 stars in my book. Thank you for being a pet-friendly hotel🙏 That said the hotel is awesome! ♦️PROS: 💥big room with microwave, dishwasher and full sized refrigerator 💥staff was super friendly and polite. Francis at the front desk was super helpful and always pleasant 💥Rooms are super CLEAN and well kept. 💥Super quiet. Especially at night. Great to get work done or just unwind. 💥Air Conditioning is 100% on point. Was able to keep my room ice cold for me and my pooch during this summer heatwave 💥Great shower with plenty of hot water 💥The free breakfast was pretty decent: cereal, coffee, make your own waffles, frozen breakfast sandwiches (you just need to heat it em’ up in the microwave) - but there’s a bodega down the street, so you can always get your bacon egg and cheese fix there. 💥Decent gym. cable system, treadmills, ellipticals, bench, and dumbbells up to 50lbs. You can definitely get a decent workout with the equipment they have. 💥Location is great. Less than 1 block from the subway 💥The view is spectacular (if you decide to get a room with city view, I have to say, it’s worth it - see pics ) ♦️CONS: 💥If you have a car, trying to find parking anywhere near the hotel is a nightmare. You might be able to find parking way down on 39th Ave, but if you’re driving, expect to be hunting for while for a parking spot. Make sure you triple check you have a legit spot because the traffic cops love giving tickets in this area. 💥There are some restaurants nearby but not a ton. So chances are you’re gonna be ordering out a lot while you’re here. 💥The bed seemed a little on the small side but maybe I’m just fat from quarantine ================= But overall, great hotel! And an absolute must if you have a dog / pet, It was a great place to call home for a week for me, my wife and our pooch - all while our water damaged apartment was being fixed and renovated. Can’t say enough nice things. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! AAAAAAAAA++++++++++…
Staff was so incredible friendly and helpful, breakfast was outstanding, Gym was well equipped, and washed dryer perfect. The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff above and beyond. I chose this place because it was within walking distance to the Joffrey Dance School. But when I got there I realized it was close to everything, stores, restaurants, and a block from the subway. I will defenitly go back.
We chose this hotel because it was close to the subway. It was also a clean hotel, had decent breakfast (go early for better options). It was a great stay for a week long family vacation. Spacious room. Comfy beds. Would stay again. Pet friendly. Quiet area.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The hotel allowed me to check in earlier and check out a little later. When we entered the room, we said at the same time “it smells good in here.” The room was clean and fresh. Immaculate customer service.
I stay at this hotel frequently and I’m never disappointed!! It’s super clean and has all the amenities you need. It truly feels like home! What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Frances at the front desk goes above and beyond to make me and every guest feel important and special! He is definitely one of the reasons I stay here. In addition to Frances, I would also like to give a shout out to Marlon, Enzo and Chris, who also are amazing. These days it’s hard to find employees. Kudos to the GM who must be providing a great work environment to have such a wonderful staff!! I highly recommend this hotel!!
This was a 1 of 13 nights stay in NYC. Previously we stayed in the middle of Manhattan. What a refreshing change this was. Went from a cramped older room to this spacious new and up to date "suite". It was actually a double double. The location was perfect. It was located a block away from the subway. You can easily take it to Manhattan. Check in was a breeze. I had booked two adjoining rooms so they werent ready when we arrived. They graciously held on to our luggage while we ventured over to the DUMBO area. That evening we slept great. The beds were very comfortable, and not being in the city made it a very quiet evening. In the morning we enjoyed thier breakfast. And then left the luggage with them again and headed intoManhattan to come back later that afternoon and grab the luggage and head to our next destination. I highly recommend this hotel due to its cleanliness, free breakfast, and location so close to the subway.…
Very welcoming reception. Very clean comfortable room. Great Manhattan view out our window at night. Very comfortable queen size bed (but wished it was king size). Great mini kitchen. Nice plush towels. Breakfast buffet included until 10 a.m.
This hotel is perfect for visiting New York. Location is really close to Manhattan. Hotel is super clean, rooms are really very big and modern, beds comfortable, rooms have little kitchen. We were 4 adults and had really lots of room for all our luggage and clothes. Suites are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, with lots of choice. Staff is very kind and helpful. Overall experience with this hotel was perfect and I would recommend it to everybody.
We were visiting family in Greenpoint and hotels in that area were very expensive. We chose the Home2 which isn’t too far away and had a nice rate. It includes breakfast and the rooms are great, with a sink, microwave, fridge, and more. It was very modern and comfortable.
