I loved the shuttle bus too and from the hotel which dropped off on the corner of Bloomingdales. Meant the hotel was able to have the view of Manhattan but we were still connected to the city with ease. Came down for breakfast every morning for a varied continental breakfast.
I stayed at this hotel with my mum when visiting NYC, it was a good price & overlooked Manhattan out of our bedroom window which was amazing! When we arrived the A/C was broken & the room was like a sauna but the desk soon got us moved to another room which was great! The location was nice & very easy to grab the subway into the city, they offered a free shuttle also. Only downside for me was the rooftop bar is very loud at night especially because we were on one of the top floors just before it! But apart from that it’s a lovely hotel!
I stayed at Z NYC Hotel for 5 nights (Jan 2020) and at check-in, my credit card was charged the amount stated in the booking confirmation. I didn’t make any room service or restaurant orders during my stay. Upon check-out, the staff did not mention any extra charges to be made, but two days later I noticed that my credit card was charged additional $63. I managed to contact the staff, who told me it’s for orders from the restaurant and that I should contact the restaurant manager for further details. I refused and asked them to sort it out themselves, and later the staff stopped responding. Booking.com promised to ask the hotel for signed receipts, but nothing happened as well. The hotel arbitrarily charged me for things I didn’t order and ignored my requests to give me a refund or to demonstrate receipts signed by me. Every month I stay in about 5-7 hotels for work, and never ever, anywhere in the world, have I seen such a blatant scam committed in broad daylight. Avoid this property at all costs if you don't want to be ripped off as I was.…
Unfortunately I have only given this hotel one star! Not because we stayed here but because we didn't. We were only hours away from flying out to New York when we had a email from Teletext informing us the hotel was closed due to refurbishment. It transpires the hotel had closed on the 21st February,we were due to book in on the 24th. Surely they didn't just decide on the 21st to close? No buissness just decided to close without prior planning! This caused myself and my husband alot of stress while traveling to New York and worry as to what hotel we would end up with. If we had been given more time we could have sorted something out with Teletext holidays and maybe had more choice into where we stayed. Instead we got a hotel in the middle of a building site and right next door to a subway. Had to purchase earplugs to enable us to sleep. Very disappointed ZNYC hotel let's hope during your refurbishment you also look at how to treat customers with a little more common courtesy.…
We had reservation for 6 nights. Payed and confirmed from hotel side one month before arrival. When we arrived hotel was closed. No prenotification or booking deconfirmation from the hotel before our arrival. Security guy was there and said we are not the only one in this situation. No answers to our calls and e-mails. We did not get money refund. Terrible Experience!!!!!!!!
