We, some friends and I, visited NY on May 2011. We choose a room with view to Manhattan. The location of the hotel is excellent. It's to walking distance from 2 subway lines/stations. This location, and the use of a Metro Card was very helpful to us. The staff were helpful on what we asked. The taxi fare from La...

Although located in an ugly immediate neighbourhood, an industrial building, few shops around, but it's close (3 bloks) from a direct subway station that takes you in 20 minutes to Time Sq. or Grand central. It's worth to walk around a bit further in Long Island City and the Queens to discover good restaurants and bars and shops. Rooms are...

I think you need to ask yourself what you want out of your trip to New York before you book anywhere? If your looking for a luxury hotel with all the perks where you will be spending a lot of your time then this is not for you but if you are looking for a budget price where you will...

First of, if you are looking for a hotel on a budget, this is a good choice. But, don't forget to carry your earplugs, aromatizer and, last but not least, calming pills. Staff is rude. Very rude. They won't help with anything (FAQ, taxis, attractions, amenities, restaurants, anything!). Some don't speak english. They can't solve problems and are very handicapped...

excellent price for NYC, dont understand why people on this are being so picky, we had a manhatten view, what more can you ask for! fridge, tv, decent shower, only a ten minute train ride to the city, metro pass around $30 for the week (great if your hoping on and off all day like we were) breakfast was fab,...

The price was ok for one night,Kind of wish the breakfest area wasn't on the same floor where you check in,stains on the couch where you wait,Took a while for the air condition to work (maybe about 5 or 10 mins so it could FINALLY work) Then it would shut off on its own EVEN when you change the settings,But...

My fiance and I recently spent three nights at this hotel. Overall, I would say it was a pretty good hotel. We were on a brief trip to New York to visit family and friends and were looking for a basic and inexpensive room by New York standards. My fiance used to live in New York City and I have...

Please don't be seduced by the affordable room price. Spend a little more and have a much better New York experience. The guest service was astonishingly bad, none of the house-keeping people could speak English and the front office staff had limited English with a very low level of comprehension. The lack of communication was very frustrating; not to mention...

I was doing a spur of the moment solo trip to NYC and had a hard time finding a hotel in Manhattan. I picked this one not expected too much - turned out to be quite nice - very clean and quiet, a short walk to the Queensboro station and a short subway to Manhattan. A good deal.

I stayed for 7 nights. NOTES: - The area is light industrial with some residential. It is unattractive but perfectly safe. - At Queensboro Plaza station there are no escalators or elevators but there are 60-80 stairs to negotiate, depending which level platform you use. Not at all convenient if you have luggage or are in any way incapacitated. Queensbridge...
