This was our first trip to NYC so we were fully aware that everything was going to be new and quite different from anything we had experienced. We stayed at the Ravel. This hotel is undergoing some construction on one side, which didn't affect our stay at all. This is a nice hotel. Yes, it is in a odd place... More

Hotel was good. Stayed for 2 nights and then moved to a time square hotel. The area is nice and bust with train lines available to take you to Manhattan. You can also connect to LGA easily by train and metro if you want to save on taxi/uber money.

We stayed at this hotel as out-of-town wedding guests for a family wedding. Did a little research and "creeping" to find out more about the hotel and the neighborhood prior to arrival. We arrived via cab from LaGuardia and the staff upon check-in were welcoming and inviting. It seems to be newly built and the furnishings in the lobby are... More

I was very anxious to find out why the reviews for this hotel are all over the place - from hating to loving this place. I love this hotel! So here are my thoughts about this hotel. It is located in Long Island City, right below the Queensbridge. This is a very industrial area and I do not recommend to... More

I will start with the positive aspects of this boutique hotel: 1) the complimentary shuttle service makes access to and from the Metro station at Queensboro Plaza so easy 2) the staff was VERY helpful, professional and nice - Klestor, the manager was great and did what he could, considering.... 3) beds and pillows were great and the room was... Your experience with this hotel will vary based upon the room in which you are given. Do yourself a favor and opt out of anything "King" King suite, King deluxe...etc...because you will be short changed! Instead opt for the Penthouse suite or Executive suite...these rooms are so much better. And we didn't hear any noise while we were in our... More

Hotel is beautiful rooms are small but clean and contemporary. Hotel staff is the absolute worst! I was there with a group of girls to celebrate a bachelorette party. We only wanted to use our penthouse suite (which is tiny btw) to shower and change and head to the rooftop for dinner and drinks. We were quickly forced to book... More

Stayed here for two nights in a block of rooms to attend a family member's wedding which was being held at The Foundry (really cool venue) right next door. I didn't get to experience check-in as my wife had already done so prior to my arrival. So, normally my reviews include scaled point ratings that include check-in. But I will... More

I have been so several hotels in NYC and I have never had such a bad experience as I did staying at Ravel. First, the basic king room has no privacy and it's just one studio style room with the bathroom basically right by your bed. Not recommended for friends at all, and I honestly probably wouldnt even share something... More
