Stayed here for two nights in a block of rooms to attend a family member's wedding which was being held at The Foundry (really cool venue) right next door. I didn't get to experience check-in as my wife had already done so prior to my arrival. So, normally my reviews include scaled point ratings that include check-in. But I will... More

I have been so several hotels in NYC and I have never had such a bad experience as I did staying at Ravel. First, the basic king room has no privacy and it's just one studio style room with the bathroom basically right by your bed. Not recommended for friends at all, and I honestly probably wouldnt even share something... More

Nice tidy Hotel Rooms where clean and nice to the eye. Good view from our room. And from restaurant at night was excellent view at the bridge. The only thing is open on weekends. Food was good and did not take long to be brought to our table.

We stayed there for 5 nights. We had a very good view of the Queensborough bridge and Manhattan from the balcony and from our beds. We were on the 4th floor. The room is quite big. We were four adults staying in that room. Very comfortable room. Huge bathroom for a hotel in NY. There is a 15 minutes walk... More

I purchased a living social deal because this was once my favorite restaurant. I brought my husband to celebrate his birthday on jazz night. However, the advertised jazz or live music didn't actually exist. Service was courteous but slow even though it was empty. There was some sort of shift change so midway thru our meal a new server took... More

To have the best view of the city you have to get out of the city!! If you have been to NYC more than once and have already stayed in Times Square and want to stay away from the hustle and bustle THIS IS IT!! We have stayed here about 5 times and have never had a bad experience. They... More

My bad experience comes more with being deceived. I thought I was booking a King Executive which is the term that was used when I purachased but on Ravel's web-site those words don't exist they use Delux or Superior. Ravel upgraded us so we could have a balcony but not a tub..The balacony faced the neighborhood and not the city... More

The hotel is beautiful. Nice clean and spacious rooms. The only con is that there is very dim lighting. The Windows only have one pull down black out curtain so you have to choose between privacy and complete darkness. (Being on the first floor facing the street we chose privacy.) Also, while the rooftop lounge is nice the staff there... More

If you are the kind of person that can get hungry after midnight, the hotel's kitchen does not open late and there is no room service. There are no nearby restaurants or delis, you would have to order pizza the front desk reception said. There is a rooftop restaurant/club called Penthouse 808 and there is no food after a certain... Me and my boyfriend stayed in Ravel for week in June. Our room was big and clean, the same as bathroom. We wish we could have room on higher floor but view from 2nd floor on Manhattan and bridge was still nice. I’ve seen reviews that music from rooftop is too loud but the only day we heard it was...
