We had two issues upon arrival. Upon check-in, we were assigned a room across from an apparent squatter with legal notices taped all over the room door. This was a bit disconcerting so we asked to change rooms and the staff happily granted our request. Later that evening, we went to turn in and found brown streaks and stains on the "cleaned" bed sheets. When I called the desk to ask for linen changes, they assured me housekeeping would arrive in a bit, as they were bogged down by too many requests--- they never arrived and by midnight we had given up. The next day we were comped with an extra beach pass, as the hotel only provides two per reservation and there were three friends in our party. The staff were friendly, courteous and kind, however, the hotel seemed frantically busy and bustling without adequate staff numbers to provide a more seamless and relaxing experience.…
Shaquona was very professional by the front desk and very friendly, she helped us with everything, we really appreciate it. The hotel was very clean, staff was really cool , we will definitely come back.
Awesome. Food and service were great. I’d like to personally say Ana was an amazing server and I will recommend this restaurant to others because she’s a waitress there — it’s at Atlantica which is inside the Allegria Hotel. Great prices and food.
Checked in early - I like their text messaging welcome system. Had good drinks at the Atlantica, and Tiffani at the beach pass/chairs area is so sweet and friendly! She answered a bunch of questions and was very helpful. Looking forward to the next 2 days!
For a “luxury” hotel we were surprisingly very disappointed. The lobby and lobby restrooms had leaky air conditioning vents in the ceiling, that were dripping water and had visible mold all around them. We reserved two partial ocean view king suite rooms. Upon check-in the floors were dirty, we had to go purchase our own broom to sweep up the floors. I understand that a beachfront hotel will get sand on the floor, but I expect the floor to be clean when we walk in for the first time, which was not the case. There were multiple lights burnt out, along with light switches that did nothing. One of our two sofa beds was missing the mattress in one of the rooms, and there was no bedding (sheets, comforter, pillows) on the one that did actually have the mattress. We lifted one of the sofas to try to find one of our daughter’s toys that had rolled under it, and it was filthy: tons of dirt, rolls of dust and hair, and a baby spoon from a previous guest. The sofa cushions were covered with just a top bedsheet placed on it, which just seems cheap and gross to me, especially for a supposed luxury hotel. The pillows were very lumpy and the white bed sheets had stains on them. One room had no coffee cups, no cream and no coffee pods. The other room that did have cups and cream, the cream was curdled and moldy. Along with all of this, the employees just seemed to not really care much about anything and were not very professional. All of this is something I would expect from a 1 or 2 star motel, not a 4 star “luxury” hotel. The only thing luxury about this hotel is the location, and we were very disappointed.…
Lauren Kelly, The best bar tender I’ve ever had. Created amazing drinks, very personable, great smile. I will definitely go back for one of her own created drinks. The bar has Great views of the ocean and boardwalk. There was a movie playing on the beach we got to peer at it once in a while. Music was great. Wish there was a dance floor. Joanne from Rockaway!!
Lived in New York almost our entire lives . Moved to Florida 18 years ago. When we come back to visit family we always like to check our some newer places that have opened and were excited to try out the Allegria in Long Beach. I’ve read that the place has changed hands a few times and that the reviews are very mixed…so here is our honest appraisal. Got there in the morning and our room wasn’t ready. We’re told that we would be one of the first rooms that were ready. 4pm passes and room is still not ready. 4:15 we get a call that the rooms (two) were ready. Friendly young staff gets us our keys. Upon arriving at the rooms, one is ready and the other has the door still opened and not yet cleaned. Go back downstairs and the “kid” at the desk apologizes and says they will not charge us for the “resort fee” for the inconvenience. Room is ready about 29 minutes later. Didn’t have a great feel about the hotel at that point and we’re lamenting that we didn’t listen to some of the reviews. Had noticed that the hotel was in need of some maintenance and that the restaurant menu was a much condensed version of the original, albeit quite beautiful. As hospitality folks we thought to ourselves that the owners may be more worried about profits and that perhaps the “seasonality” of running a beach hotel was too difficult to keep things 4 Star. Perhaps one or both are true. We wake up the next morning and have a GREAT breakfast at the restaurant and speak with many of the young employees who display a lot of enthusiasm and are genuinely caring about the guest experience. Public restrooms were PRISTINE although some other public areas not so much. This was such a paradoxical experience. At the end of the day, we would probably go back and recommend for SHORT visits. I think this place could be so much more and hope that the owners figure it out. Staff there is trying so hard.…
We stayed weekdays since weekends are even more pricey... FIrst half of our stay was in an oceanfront king and it was great to have the ocean view. Our second half, because we decided to extend our stay but the room we were currently in wasn't available, was a partial view king.. so you could still see the ocean. The beach is steps away .. and you get a chair and towels with your resort fee. I thought the service was great, polite, efficient and friendly... from front desk to bartenders to wait staff. I didn't spend much time at the pool.. but it is on the small side and i suspect gets crowded in the middle of the day. I think it should be open later... till sunset at least.. maybe even 10pm/ closes too early.. I think at 6 or 7. But it is a pretty pool and pretty pool deck. I am more of a beach person. We were able to find on street parking , but we were there during the week, deliberately, because the rates were cheaper. I think parking is tight on weekends. The beach was clean with lots of lifeguards. I reallly didn't want to go home.…
Samy was very helpful and very welcoming …when others weren’t! Kudos ,Samy Tiffani at the beach set ups was also AMazing ! When others just gave you answers , Tiffani gave you answers and got results ! All in all the stay is nice Rooms are large, there is a mini fridge for all beach necessities! Let me not forget how Awesome Lauren @ the L’Onda bar!
Stayed here this past week with my sister and niece. We arrived early, but had let them know ahead of time. Room wasn’t ready. No big deal. Check-in is at 4 pm. Room was not ready at 4 pm, got in after check-in time. We were waiting in the lobby and by second time asking, our name was on the “call when room is ready” list. We didn’t actually get the text for the room being ready until 4:40 pm. Rooms are super loud! You can hear your neighbours beside you and across the hall. I literally could hear the neighbours zipping a suitcase. Anytime there was talking in the hall or in the neighbouring room, sounded like they were in our room. If someone near us put their card key in to their door, sounded like they were trying to open our door. We were at the end of a hallway, can’t imagine how loud it would have been by the elevator. Beds were hard and the bedding had a nasty odour. When I asked to have some pillows replaced I was told that they couldn’t. The duvet on the other bed had the same odour. The restaurant and their staff were amazing! Awesome food and service! The location was amazing! You literally walk out the hotel, across the boardwalk, and are on the beach. Would I stay here again? No. I would try to find something elsewhere on Long Island.…
