The Fox and the Grapes is a beautiful b & b in a rural setting but still close to everything. We provide an amazing view of Seneca Lake, warm hospitality and good things to eat. Customized wine/beer tour packages and wine sales on site. Minutes from wineries and restaurants like Silver Thread Vineyards and Wagner's, Dano's and the Stonecat Cafe. 1/2 Hour to Ithaca, 15 minutes to Watkins Glen and 1/2 hour from Geneva. Whether you want a romantic get-a-away or a place to simply "get away", the Fox and Grapes is the perfect place to begin and end your day.

Such sweet hosts (including Schnitzel, the dog). One of few gems on the Eastern side of Seneca Lake. enjoyable breakfast and nice amenities. Nera several wineries. Only downside? You need to drive to get to most decent restaurants. But totally worth the stay!

My sister and I spent a week in this lovely B&B exploring this beautiful region. The weather was outstanding and we enjoyed discovering small towns USA and tasting the wine scene. Russ and Wendy are welcoming and even went above and beyond in serving me a favorite breakfast (lox and cream cheese) The Stella room is spacious with fluffy towels and upscale linens. It was relaxing just enjoying the deck in the evening watching the beautiful sunset. It’s a visit you want to experience!

We enjoyed our visit. The B&B is under new management. It was clean and the breakfast was excellent. We got a free cheese plate! We stayed in the Seneca room - with views of Seneca Lake in both sides. The innkeepers Russ and Wendy were nice. And we just loved the house dog Schnitzel! The B&B has a large refrigerator, Keurig, lots of teas and filtered water cooler. There are plenty of areas to hang out: A nice deck with view of the lake perfect for sunsets; a living area and 2 family rooms with TVs. The room was comfortable. My only complaint is the smell of the water. It’s well water and smells like sulfur. We managed. Just brought some water up to brush our teeth. Overall great weekend getaway!

Thank you Lysandra, I am glad you enjoyed your stay and Schnitzel misses you both. I apologize for the state of the water. Unfortunately we are in a bit of a drought and we have a well. We arenot able to back-flush the softener hence the sulfur. We did find a work-around and have purchased charcoal filters a will use those until we have sufficient rain.

We were guests at The Fox and the Grapes again for our annual FLX visit (well, after a Covid pause in 2020). This was our third visit. The new owners, Wendy and Russ, were delightful and we enjoyed our visit very much. We also enjoyed meeting Schnitzel, the new inn dog-she was very friendly and seemed to be adjusting well to her new home. The property is always welcoming with lush manicured grounds and a cozy feel inside. We liked the rearranged great room and especially appreciated the new, larger refrigerator available for guest use. It was the perfect spot for our traveling charcuterie components that we enjoyed along our many winery visits. Our room, Seneca, is very welcoming, with a view of the lake and the beautiful grounds. Breakfast every day was delicious and the perfect start to each of our 3 days. We are already booked for our next visit in 2022 and look forward to seeing what’s new at the inn then. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness Wendy, Russ, and Schnitzel!

The Fox and the Grapes is a wonderful B&B in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. The hosts, Bud and Kim, are wonderful and most welcoming to guests. They have a vast knowledge of the area and their recommendations for wineries, restaurants and attractions were perfect. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. WiFi is good. On nice mornings breakfast is served on a large deck with views of Seneca Lake. The location is perfect for wineries, state parks and many attractions. A delightful place to stay.

Everything you could want from a bed and breakfast. My fiancée and I stayed at the Fox and the Grapes over Memorial Day Weekend 2021. We originally had the reservation for 2020, but were able to extend by a year due to COVID. Bud, Kim, and Guinness (German Shorthair Dog) were gracious hosts and very helpful. They served a delicious breakfast each morning and had numerous recommendations when asked. This was my fiancée's first bed and breakfast experience and needless to say she was pleasantly surprised. The weather didn't cooperate much, but we were still able to make the most of our experience in the Finger Lakes due to the B&B's close proximity to so many fantastic wineries, breweries, and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. The wrap around deck allows for outdoor meals, morning coffees, and sunset enjoyment. Thanks so much to Bud, Kim, and Guinness for an incredible stay. We hope to visit again soon!

My wife and I stayed at the Fox and The Grapes from 9/25 through 9/30. It was such a wonderful stay and it is the PERFECT ship off point for your Seneca Wine Trail (And all other Finger Lake) adventures. Bud and Kim go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. The breakfasts on the deck overlooking the lake were AMAZING, the house and grounds are beautiful, and the East Lake room was perfect. Guiness is also the best B&B host dog we've ever met. As for location, you are MINUTES away from 10+ wineries, breweries, and restaurants. You are also very close to Watkins Glen State Park (A must do), downtown Watkins Glen, multiple state parks/waterfalls, and the international speedway. The other lakes and towns are also very close and accesible. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the F&G if you'd love a laid back, relaxed, updated, romantic B&B experience in wine country.

We returned to the Fox and Grapes for our annual FLX weekend. Perfect location, comfortable and welcoming accommodations, wonderful breakfasts to start the day. The grounds are lovely and well maintained with a beautiful view from the deck-very relaxing and peaceful. The inn is lovingly maintained and welcoming. Bud and Kim are gracious hosts who want their guests to feel welcomed and appreciated. A nuzzle or two from Guinness is always a treat! This year, due to an injury I sustained prior to our visit, I required some special accommodation that the Wagners graciously obliged. They made me feel welcome and comfortable and were genuinely concerned for my comfort. It was so great to be able to return and enjoy their lovely inn. We look forward to returning next September and enjoying the Fox and Grapes yet again. Thank you Bud, Kim, and Guinness!

We came with two other couples for several days. First of all, do not discount going to this area in November! It was chilly, we had a little snow...but the ambiance of the house and the fire at night melted the cold away! The wineries were not crowded at all. I have stayed in many B&B's and this one was exceptional. It was extremely clean, nicely decorated, good breakfasts (and very accommodating to our dietary needs), very comfortable bed. We stayed upstairs in the Concord Room, very quiet and private. Kim, Bud and of course Guinness were fabulous hosts!
