I stayed for a week from.Aug 2016-September. At first, I was given room #5, which had a closet , AC, lovely dresser and small hutch and 2 chairs. It was cozy and comfortable. The stairway to the third floor is painfully narrow, so watch luggage, your head and your feet climbing and descending. The shared bathroom on the third floor... More

The Jewel is one of the better-kept rooming houses in Lily Dale. Lots of parking directly across the street, and pretty centrally-located to the venues. Dining options are close, as well. Two- and three-person rooms are on the second and third floors, and each floor has a full bathroom. Teresa asked you take off shoes on the enclosed porch before... More

Its a quaint place. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and the stairs from 2nd floor to 3rd floor are EXTREMELY STEEP! Room #9 was beautiful. Sharing a bathroom with all the rooms on the floor was quite a challenge, and there needs to be a better lock on the door. People pushing and pushing on it in the... More

My sister's and I spent a night at this quaint house. Met many interesting people from other states and walks of life. Although the stairs were very narrow (it reminded me of my husbands old business) the decoration of this victorian home was done well. I only had the pleasure of meeting our hostess Teresa on arrival as she was... More

The place feels blessed as soon as you walk in the entry way. The owner is kind and helpful. And she tends to try to stay out of the guest's way. But is around if you need her or have questions. The bedroom was decorated with old fashioned antiques and the bed was so soft and comfortable. Out back there... More

We accidentally stayed where Arthur Conan Doyle stayed, so we were thrilled here and would definitely go back for the morning coffee on the screened in porch, which is a social event. The bathroom is down the hall, so I can't say it's the most exciting place I've ever stayed but I am giving it the highest rave possible for... More

Yes, as one of the other reviewers mentioned, the buildings are old, the floors are squeaky and the bathrooms are shared amongst several rooms. But it isn't bad. Teresa, the owner, is very nice and helpful. And our room (#4) had a view of Cassadaga Lake, which was beautiful! Lily Dale itself is kind of a trip back to another... More

I recently returned from Lily Dale, I stayed two nights here. I thought the place was quiet, clean, comfortable and the people who owned it were very nice. I could come and go as I pleased, it was close to everything...shopping, eating, the Assembly Hall and other workshops that I attended. When I go back to Lily Dale, I will... More

The accomodations at any of the guest houses in Lily Dale are seriously lacking in creature comforts. The floors are old and squeaky and the bathrooms are really old and patched together. One bathroom for five or six rooms causes major scheduling problems, which means you need to wake up really early to take a decent shower or wait until... More

This was my first visit to Lily Dale (and it won't be my last...). I found "Jewel" online and booked my room. The "guest home" is a nice Victorian. Rooms are comfy and there are shared bathrooms. There is air conditioning (unlike the hotels!) which is pretty important on hot summer days in Lily Dale. The owners were very accomodating... More

“All rooms are up a flight of stairs, and sometimes 2 flights. This is a three story house! So make sure to bring in all luggage first for the big haul upstairs to the upper levels. Oh, and take shoes that are easy to slip on and off, because the owner requests no shoes inside, so that she can keep things clean.”
