We had three incredible dinners at the Primavera property in Rincon, PR, when Aaron was the Chef there several years ago. This is the first time we've been to the NY restaurant and dinner was every bit as incredible. He and Maddelena have put together a wonderful staff and the service was impeccable. Great rooms with great beds next door... More

First I must say that we usually stay at chain hotels because there is a certain amount of predictability in the accommodations. B & B’s and Inns are not our normal stay. With that being said, our room at the Inn was very spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast nook surrounded by windows and a four poster bed... More

This was our first overnight visit to the The Horned Dorset Inn. We had our fifth anniversary dinner at the restaurant back in 1983 and enjoyed our 37th anniversary dinner on this trip This is a unique and very pleasant location in Leonardsville. Our room was "creaky and quirky" in a good way. The chairs on the porch were great... More

We stayed two nights in a suite: large, well furnished, very comfortable bed. The Inn is an old victorian house, with expected quirks and charm. Adequate continental breakfast. The part time attendant was quite nice, and attentive when she was there. The Inn is mostly a "hands off" (no one around) experience, which we liked. The only wrong note was... More

we stayed at the Horned Dorset during my niece's graduation from college. I have to say it was quite mixed. On the positive side, the restaurant was wonderful. The staff was attentive, the food delicious, terrific wine list - all just what you would hope for. The inn on the other hand is very tired. While the rooms are quite... More

If you are fortunate enough to experience The Horned Dorset, you will always remember it! We stayed there recently for a special anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised to be the only guests staying overnight. It was quiet and restful. The dining was great; the chef knows how to put out a perfect meal and the staff is well-trained. What dedicated... More

About 4 plus hours from NYC, after driving through several little towns, you will reach the little town of Leonardsville, NY, and this is where you will find the Horned Dorset Inn; a large, old, four bedroom house each with private baths. The two upstairs rooms had king size beds with large, private sitting rooms. We were very comfortable in... More

The Horned Dorset is an unlikely find. Leonardsville is about as rural a town as you'll find in this part of Upstate New York, a tiny hamlet on an unremarkable State highway. And frankly it's not the most picturesque highway you'll find, at least the part where the Restaurant is located. But what a restaurant. The owners have lovingly "restored"... More

The interior architecture and atmosphere of this unassuming building is superb. The food was outstanding, the service absolutely phenomenal (I left a 30% tip and felt a little guilty I wasn't leaving more), and the wine list was surprisingly affordable. I'm a little afraid to go back, because I'm not sure its possible to top my last experience their

The location is out of the way but, well worth the drive. The Inn is beautiful, the menu full of nice surprises, and the staff is very professional and well trained. Each time I visit, I wish I would make the effort to travel here more frequently. We have never been disappointed.
