Nice suite with great space, modern furniture amenities. However, there is construction going on in hotel to update rooms and lobby. The work takes place between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The staff are friendly and professional. Worth the stay.

My wife and I spent a night at the Hotel Indigo in late July, 2020. It was a clean, spacious room, but I felt like the hype around this place is larger than what you actually get. I thought by reading the reviews previously posted that this would be somewhat of a luxury experience, but I'd say it missed that mark pretty badly. To be fair, they're currently in the middle of a renovation - construction/painting going on on the outside, work being done on the first floor inside. So my rating takes that into account. I might have been a bit more harsh if that work wasn't going on at the time we were there. For starters, in terms of the size of the room, it was relatively huge, like a suite. In fact, I've stayed in "suites" that have been smaller than this room was. So that was a definite plus. Unfortunately, there was just a lot of empty space in the room and none of the features of a suite - no couch (just a chair and ottoman), no microwave/refrigerator (aren't these pretty much standard at every hotel now?), and no separate sink/counter area other than the bathroom. So while we felt like we were getting a great room, the features inside it made it just feel like it was closer to being a dorm room than a hotel room. The shower was nice and the bathroom felt luxurious, but the rest of the room really didn't have a luxury feel to it. Adding to that "dorm room" description was the fact that the blinds on the window came nowhere near to blocking out all the light from the front of the building - and with the front of the building facing east, you can just guess what happened when the sun came up in the morning (see attached picture for what it looked like). No idea what they were thinking using those blinds. Because the on-site restaurant was closed because of Covid-19, they did provide free breakfast items in the morning. Microwaveable breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, coffee, blueberry muffins, and granola bars. Not a bad attempt at breakfast considering the circumstances of the virus and everything. I wouldn't mind staying here again, but this felt like a hotel with an identity crisis. Is it supposed to be a luxury hotel? Are the big rooms supposed to be suites, and if so, why aren't there suite amenities in them? These are questions that management might want to be asking themselves. Staff were all friendly and very helpful, always saying hello every time we walked by. That was a great touch.

I apologize, however, for the ongoing improvements we are making to enhance the experience for our future guests, for it looks like some of the work being done held back your stay from being truly outstanding. I stayed here because it's close to the airport and was relatively cheap on hotwire. The room was clean and check-in easy. The problem was the bed is hard as a wooden board and the pillows were not good either. This made for a disappointing poor night of sleep. This to me is the most important part of a hotel stay. Some people like rock hard beds I definitely don't. I've stayed at a few other similar priced hotels near Albany Airport and prefer those. This one looks a little better but I would not choose here next time.

My family of four recently stayed at the Indigo due to a very early flight. Literally around the corner from the airport. Hotel lobby was under renovations but we were greeted promptly checking in. Staff was polite and welcoming and gave us excellent advice regarding our flight (arrive at airport 1hr 15 prior is more than enough time). The room was clean and had a large alcohol sanitizing wipe on desk in event we wanted to sanitize additionally due to the Covid 19 pandemic. I had no concerns. The TV remote control was clearly cleaned and placed in a bag for added protection. Hotel was super quiet. AC was a little loud however and make a clunking noise going on and off. We all slept right through it though. I would definitely recommend and stay there again for future flight.

I was hesitant to stay in a hotel because of the virus outbreak in NYC. My travel was however unavoidable so after calling around and doing tonnes of research, I felt most comfortable staying at Hotel Indigo. Wow, its safe to say that I was blown away by how much they reassured be that my safety was a top priority. They cleaned and sanitized impeccably and even the TV remote was wrapped in a disposable bag so as to prevent virus germs from being transmitted. The front desk lady was very clear about their corona virus protocol and I felt very comfortable in the hotel knowing that they clean regularly and that they made an effort to keep guests in rooms away from each other as best they could- I was lucky enough to get an upgrade!! Check in and check out was easy and fast. The beds were comfortable and linens and towels were clean. I would absolutely recommend staying here, especially after seeing first hand how seriously they are taking the virus situation. Thank you Hotel Indigo!
