Detailed Reviews
We just came back from this hotel, family of 3. All the positives and negatives in other reviews are mostly true.
+
Very good location in Brela
Clean and well maintened room, large enough
Solid food for 3 star hotel
Generally nice and polite staff
Beach in front of the hotel is beautiful
-
Mattress can be uncomfortable for "heavier" guests
Air conditioner works, but it's not strong enough.
And for me the worst experience - parking. It's very busy, limited availability in front of the hotel, most of the time you need to park far away in the middle of the forest.
BEWARE OF THIS: They will charge you 3 EUR par day for parking, but if you don't leave emidiatly after check out time they will charge you adittional 3 EUR / hour! We left after lunch and were forced to pay additional 20 EUR at gate! Calling reception didn't help. Rip-off!

The Pros of this hotel: The staff are lovley and on the whole very helpful. It is on The Beach, which has amazingly clear water, it is slightly shingly and sun beds and umberells are quite expensive. You can purchase sponge mattresses for 12-16 euros very handy.
The rooms are clean and towels are changed almost daily if you want them.
The food is of good quality and varied, but sometimes cold a Microwave or two would allow a person to re- heat their food if required, waiters pleasent and tables are cleared quickly.
Animation team are great but as most activities take place in the sister hotel you have to make enquiries as to times and locations, when you can find them. You can drink the tap water without any problems a bonus. The Hotel setting is in amongst Pine trees and is beautiful and views from the balcony the same.
Cons: The landings are very old fashioned in design and resemble a prison. Their are several blocks and for the first two days we got lost trying to locate our room but there are plenty of lifts. The dining room is the same hard wooden chairs and very crowded and noisy. No tea or coffee machines are available with the evening meal and if you request some water you must puchase bottled which, as with all the drinks is costly. There are 65 steps to the beach and by the time you reach the final flight on a hot day you are knackered and need to sit down. All in all you get what you pay for.

The Bluesun hotels have excellent service: the staff is polite and gives the best possible help.
Food quality is perfect.
The rooms are tidy and convenient.
The cleaning service is from good to perfect.
The territory around hotel is elaborately designed garden under the lush pine trees. The variety of plants are well maintained.
The town center is in 5min of walking.
The nearest beach is 50m away. The Punta Rata beach is in 5min of walking.
The closest beaches have perfect balance of isolation from urban territory and proximity to the needed infrastructure. The showers with fresh water are free, functional and located every 50m.
Staying in this hotel you will get a bonus with the divine smell of pine trees every day.

Really good experience here.
Rooms were cleaned everyday, bedding exchanged for fresh bedding, clean towels too. Facilities fine for what you’d expect for a 3 star hotel.
Sea view room is as facing the sea, however there are trees in the way. You can partly see the sea and definitely hear it:
It’s not an ideal place for people with limited mobility and fitness as there are a steps and hills to climb. The steps can be quite slippy in the morning. Beautiful beaches and promenade within metres of the hotel. Anyone who comes here and decides to do a boat trip to zlatni rat. Don’t bother. There are much more beautiful beaches right here. They are very very stony though and I’d recommend getting yourself a pair of aqua shoes to walk in beach and go in the water.
We stayed half board and there was an abundance of food choice for meat eaters.
However, there wasn’t much choice for vegetarians and even less for vegans.
I ate the same thing every day -salad. I did enjoy the salad though and liked my bowl high with grated cabbage, carrot, lettuce m, olives and tomatoes. For vegetarians there is not a bad selection of cheeses and eggs to eat.
Breakfast had a selection of cheeses, pastries, bread, meat, fruit, toast and cereal with juice and hot drink.
I’d recommend the hotel to others and definitely would stop here again. It met our needs and expectations. Staff were helpful and friendly.

+1
Wow! Quite possibly the best trip I’ve had! The hotel is a little dated but it’s clean and has everything you could need. The location of the hotel is just absolutely stunning. I’ve never felt so relaxed in my life. I had a sea view room and sitting on the balcony at sunset listening to the sea and the little church bells chime was just amazing. Such nice memories.
Hired sun-loungers on the beach and it was just beautiful. We didn’t realise until the last day that you could use the amenities at the hotel next to it as it’s the same company, such as their pool. It’s also a lovely walk to Punta Rata or in the opposite direction to a little harbour with some shops and restaurants.
The only thing was that if you need to get the bus, order a taxi to the stop as it’s very very uphill. But the views from the hotel are totally worth it. Mountains in one direction and beautiful sea views in the other. I can’t wait to come back!

Reception staff friendly but not welcoming
Hotel very dated and is a budget hotel for the area.
Breakfast choices were good, but bread seemed a little stale, coffee was exceptionally strong. The presentation of the food wasn’t appealing. Reminded me of a school canteen. I was glad I didn’t choose full board at the hotel as the dining area had no atmosphere. The woman taking room numbers at the entrance couldn’t even crack a smile.
Big shout to Nena our lady who cleaned the rooms, she was so happy smiley and friendly.
She did amazing job!
We had a great view from our room. However, the bed was very creaky and uncomfortable
Air con wouldn’t cope with height of season
Patio door didn’t lock
None of the rooms have kettles which is disappointing but they do have a fridge.
If you have mobility issues do not stay here as it’s not accessible to the beach unless you can go up and down the stairs without an issue.
If I come back I’ll stay next door in the sister hotel. As we met others who highly recommended the maestral..

Great location, friendly staff on the whole. Food had was the buffet breakfast. Fresh omelettes if required. Plenty to choose from otherwise. Cooked, continental, cereal, all perfectly adequate. Restaurant does get busy but if timed well no issues.
Sister hotels in close locality to use pool, recreational areas etc. Very close to the beach. Elderly and those of poor mobility however please note the beach and access to other hotels is down and up lot of steps.
Room service, perfect every day. Our only points would be that the hotel seems a little tired and maybe in need of a touch up in certain areas. Our room as an example had evidence of a resolved damp / leak issue. Stained, flaking painted walls. Lift in our block broke down on day 5 but no mobility issues so not a major concern for us but could have been for those less mobile. Only other thing to be aware of is that for some reason the hot water seems to be turned off mid afternoon, possibly overnight too. We showered late afternoon most days after the beach and it was cold. Similar on departure day, getting up very early to a cold shower. Not ideal before travelling.
All in all though a great budget stay. Travellers note the hotel and in fact general area, seems pretty focussed on our German colleagues.

The hotel is very well renovated. The colours and materials are modern and simple. Bathroom, air conditioning up to date. The location on the beach very nice. For couples who want to have it quiet rather not suitable. At breakfast and dinner the large room is very noisy. The few tables outside mostly occupied. The additional costs for loungers are a bit high...

Was in Bluesun Marina in august with my wife and 2 kids. Overall I would rank this hitel as a 3* although I think it has 4. Nothing special about the hotel except its location really close to the beach. Rooms are average, food is average, parking is way under average, too crowded all the time, often you dont have a free table at the restaurant so I have to give it an average review. Only thing that its above average is its price, and Croatia keeps surprising me with their pricing every summer. Would i go back to this hotel, I dont think so, would i come back to Brela, definately.

We are family of 2 children 2 adults loved this place. Rooms are nice and the staff are friendly. We did have rental car and parked ok.
The walks around the coastal line are out of this world. The hotel sits on the beach and has beautiful nighttime music and bean bags that are put out on the beach with candles. We plan to visit again and add in island tours too.

Hello
There is a parking in front of Marina hotel.
Unfortunately it is not free.
I arrived to Split airport. Got on airport shuttle bus (every hour). Shuttle bus goes to Split bus station (30-40kuna, cash). There I have been waiting for regular bus to Brela.
Warning!!! Please check actual schedule, because I am not sure about the operation during low season. Arrival time of the bus can deviate from the schedule up to 30min.
You can find you bus and buy tickets in advance here:
getbybus com.
Plenty of bars along the sea front,
I travelled with my daughter who went out most days so i hit the bars and basically stayed there supping.
Hope this helps. good WIFI too at no cost.
No the hotel.doesn't offer them but you can hire them on the beach
