We stayed at one of the apartments next to the hotel building. It was huge, very clean, very well equipped, with a beautiful view to the see. The beach is quite near. It is a little bit difficult to park in those narrow streets, but every guest has their own parking place. The staff was super kind and helpful, we will definitely go back there❣️

I had an unforgettable experience with the staff at Sunceva Postelja. I was not even staying at this hotel when I went in to ask for help (I had an incident where I needed others’ assistance). Zeljka went above and beyond to help me out. She called multiple places before she ended up calling her personal friend and asking him for a help. While we were waiting for her friend to arrive, Zeljka’s shift ended. Then Tomislav, her collegue at Sunceva Postelja, took over and made sure that the issue was resolved. This was the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. The guests who get to stay at this hotel will TRULY be taken care for. I would definitely stay at this hotel when we come back to Brela next.
Special thanks to Zeljka’s friend Frane - I cannot thank you enough. You guys made our trip to Croatia so special. Thank you.

The hotel has a lift and a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. With a lot of luck, you can watch dolphins, as we experienced twice during our stay.
Clean rooms, helpful staff, however, must work on professionalism.
We were very satisfied

On 18.8.2015 I called to hotel Sunceva Postelja and we made a reservation for 2 night from 19.08.2015 to 21.08.2015. We arrive to Sunceva hotel around
14:00 local time and we will go to have lunch in their
restaurant down stairs. After lunch, around 15:00, we came up to the
reception, recepcionist showed for us our room, gave us the key and
left. We were in room for 5 minutes - Just left our bags, change dresses
for swimming dresses and went to the hotel beach, it is 20m from hotel.
So we were on the beach around 15:10. We were there until 20:00, when
the sun already was gone.
When we are coming from the beach, we met the recepcionist, and she told
us, it is not possible to stay 2 nights, because she forgot to enter
second night to reservation system and somebody else booked the room for
next day. I told to the receptionist, that if they can´t to give us room
for 2 nights, we will go somewhere else.
But the lady told me, that, we have to pay for one night for sure, even
if we will go. She was very unwilling and agressive.
We packed our bags, actually it took just 3 minutes, because they
weren´t unpack yet. We dropped bags to our car and then we went to pay
for the lunch. Receptionist told us that we have to pay full price for
the room. We refused to pay full price of room (170,- eur per night), so
they blocked our car with another car of recepcionist and They did not allow us to go away. I asked to receptionist
called the manager. He is coming with one other guy. They told me with
very agresive noise, that me and my wife have a big problem. Manager with another
man were very agresive, arogant and threated to my wife, that they will
hit her. My wife is cried and said, they would like call the police.
They made a manipulation that they called, but they didn´t. They blocked
our car for 3 hours!
The situation was hopeless, so My wife called to embassy, and they sent police to help us (3 policeman). Police told to the manager, that hotel don´t have justice to take our time, block our car and that they should us live. We do not pay anything -
Police said they have no right want us to pay, when we didn´t sleep
there. Police made a report of this situation.
Hotel Sunceva Postelja made a gross violation of our rights!!!
Also, I wanna write some mistake servises, that hotel have written on
their profile on booking:
- private beach is no private beach. It´s a small beach, which is
the property of Croatia.
- sauna is very small, and there is not even one chair or banch
for relaxing. Not even table.
I am travelling in a lot of coutries during all year. In Sunceva
Postelja was the worst and the most arogant servis I even had.

We stayed here 1 May- 4 May and were very pleased. Our point of contact was Ivana, who was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. The first morning we came down for breakfast, she had set up a table outside and one inside for us because she didn't know where we wanted to sit. Plus, she had a highchair at both tables to include our baby. She definitely went above and beyond and we were impressed!
We had a room on the side of the building, so you don't get a straight sea view, but you do have one from the balcony and sitting area inside the room. The room and bathroom were both very clean and roomy with a nicely working air conditioner.
There is a hairdryer, iron/ironing board, shampoo, soap, shower cap, umbrella, and several hangers provided in the room. As others have said, the small kitchen is equipped with almost everything you would need to make a small meal: stove-top (no oven), microwave, refrigerator, sink, dish washer (with soap), eating & cooking utensils, pots/pans, plates, glasses (including wine & beer glasses), cloth napkins/towels. (If you're not used to traveling overseas, don't expect tissues or washcloths-I always bring my own). The room also has plenty of outlets, plus one 110v in the bathroom, which I've never seen before, but was nice since we forgot to bring our adapters.
Breakfast consisted of bread, jams/jellies, cold cut meats, fruit, yogurt, sweet pastries, cheeses, tea, coffee, juice, and cereal. We were also offered eggs and sausage. I had eggs 2 days in a row and unfortunately there were shells in them, so on the 3rd day I had sausage (which to an American they were hot-dogs). Overall, the eggs/sausage were just OK, but I was happy to at least have the option. My suggestion to the chef would be to be more careful with the egg shells and maybe make the eggs with less butter or oil.
We liked the location because it was quiet since it's about a 20 min. walk into town, but a very pleasant walk, so we didn't have any of the nightlife noise. We were there before high season, so many restaurants were closed (including the hotel's), but if you stay here during high season, you won't have to walk 20 min every time you want to eat.
Sunceva offers special services like bicycles, beach chairs, massages, and other things, but some were not yet available at this time of year. We didn't mind, though, because we were just there to completely relax and enjoy the views.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend staying here the next time you visit Brela!

This hotel has a great location, close to the beach. The staff is friendly and polite.
But… there are problems.
1. I booked a room through their website. They charge 30% as deposit and they have a “no cancelations” / “no refunds” policy.
2. After the booking is completed, the hotel doesn’t send an email confirming the reservation and stating the amount paid.
3. I found this weird, as all hotels send emails confirming reservations, so I printed my credit card statement and traveled with it, just in case.
4. A big concern: Probably there’s an issue with the venting system of the hotel’s septic system as the bedroom and bathroom have a very unpleasant smell. I complained with the receptionist and she said it was because the room was kept closed and that I should open the balcony’s door. The smell remained.
It’s not a nice experience to stay in a room smelling sewer gases.
5. We are a mature couple and didn’t have any accompanying children with us, but we found it weird that this hotel prohibits strollers in their premises. I took a picture of the “forbidden strollers" sign. Beach clothes are also forbidden as can be seen on the same picture.
6. The bathroom has a scale. This should be considered “fancy” __ if the scale was working. It was not. Or the batteries were drained, or the scale needed repair or replacement.
7. Another major issue: At the time we were leaving and paying for our staying, the receptionist had a printed copy of our charges showing everything and “forgetting” the fact that we had already paid 30% as a deposit! I said “Oh, it is not that all, we already paid 30% at the time of booking”. After a 30 secs look on the computer, she said “Oh, I see it” and printed another bill, this time correct. I don’t want to make any assumptions, but what would have happened if I did not remember paying 30% as deposit, especially because it happened four months before our trip?
I give this place two stars due to its location and polite staff.

In our two weeks in Croatia this was by far the best place we stayed. The hotel is right on the walkway by the sea with only a few steps to the beach. The apartments are beautiful with large beds, full kitchen and a small balcony. There is a restaurant in the hotel which has good food and the staff was very helpful. We had our own car and the streets to the hotel are very narrow and windy, but signage to the hotel was good. It is an experience just driving to the hotel! Lovely walk to Brela for restaurants and about a 5km walk to Baska Voda which is well worth visiting. We will return.

We went there by the beginning of September 2016. The season seemed to be ending, so the hotel was not overcrowded which felt good.
It's located right next to the sea. One can enjoy the awesome view from the terrace while dining.
Two small, kind of beaches which hotel claims as theirs (they're actually not) are approachable only after fighting some tricky stairs, walking trough the restaurant and the terrace. The nice thing is that you can keep your belongings in lockers (with no keys) close to those and not being forced to take umbrellas, towels etc. back to the room, again walking trough the restaurant and using tiny, not ventilated elevator. Beach towels are not provided by the hotel, means not included in the price of approximately 200 € which we were paying per night. Either bring them yourself or let the hotel to charge you an extra money.
We felt some horrible smell in our room as soon as we would switch off the air conditioning.
Bed sheets were not changed for our entire stay of five nights.
We didn't find any hand soap in the bathroom which was cleaned every day.
The food we tried in the restaurant was delicious and the cook is one of the few who should be mentioned for good here.
Also, we met friendly personal at the reception during the night shifts, and I should not forget the very polite girl who was serving the breakfasts.
There was the girl who was in charge of providing wellness services, she knew the job well, but is working in a very poor conditions and uses cheap, old fashioned and low-quality equipment. I regret the money I gave for pedicure and manicure there.
The transport from the nearest airport in Split to the hotel, not surprisingly, is not provided and costs around 80 € in one direction.
And the very last thing which I would like to point out, at the same time probably the main reason to never go there again, was that we were charged 8 € pro hour for the late check out, without even being told that it's going to be that way. The worse thing is that we only kept our suitcases in the room in the mean time, while leaving money in their restaurant and the "wellness center".
Moreover, we do speak Croatian language, so they can't blame misunderstanding for such inconveniences.
Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
