My chilling place! River nile camp is budget friendly bed and breakfast, they allow pets, have a number of activities (swimming, games, bicycles for rent, rafting, horse riding,....) the host and workers are super friendly, and the monkeys make it adventurous, delicious meals, vegetarians and non vegetarian, the sun rise and set is beautiful. I recommend you to stay here.
Really nice place to stay. Lovely staff, amazing view and sunset. We really felt like home. Good place for camping always, with an outside BBQ you can use, and you can use their fridges to keep your stuff cold. Rafting with their friends of Nalubale completes the the stay!
I travelled with my 3 kids aged under 10 and stayed at their recently established cottage (as an airbnb). We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets overlooking the nile. The staff were very friendly and accomodating to our requests. It felt like home away from home. The staff helped us organise for a chef on the days we wanted a home cooked meal. The cottage was definitely value for money - right next to a small stream that drains into the nearby nile - and the sound from that was very relaxing, quiet and private. This was my second holiday in jinja but definitely my best.
I've stayed two different weekends now at Nile River Camp and I have nothing but good things to say. The staff is friendly, the accommodation is affordable, the food is great, and the beer is cold. The Black Lantern next door also provides a wonderful place to use wifi and have a fine dining experience on the River Nile.
Definitely one of my favorite places in all of Uganda... magical sunsets, amazing nature, great food and cold beers, what more could you ask? The staff is so great and friendly... this place really feels like home!
Basic but clean accomodation in safari tents and small rooms. You can also camp.Good bar and simple 'pub grub' style menu. Nice pool next to river (popular with monkeys)Hot communal showers.Solar powered so occassionally lights are low. Strong security boxes behind bar. Good base for lots of river and adventure activites. Very friendly helpful manager Dylan. Generally quiet but if you want a party head to Nile River Explorers next door.
Nile river camp is the most welcoming beautiful camp spot I’ve ever stayed at in Uganda. A place that I look forward to returning to every time I return the the area. NRC is a hot spot for tame monkeys, beautiful bird life and breath taking sunsets. The owner Dylan is passionate about making sure everyone has the best possible stay for the best value of Cost! I can’t recommend this place enough!
Right on the water and a very friendly staff. Lots of activities start and end from the hotel. Nice bar, great views and amenities are good. Rooms are mediocre for the price but overall I would recommend it as a backpackers or economy option. River cruise for $45.00 was very expensive for the type of boat so might not consider that but quite enjoyed my stay there. They have a cool water slide and rope swing but it was closed because a crocodile was spotted in the area.
My daughter, granddaughter and I, along with 40 friends stayed here during a humanitarian mission trip. It is a lovely, relaxing place, with good food, and a most excellent view of the Nile River. I love this place.
Can't say enough good things about this place. The view is unbeatable, reasonable prices, good food and the staff is absolutely amazing. Accommodation is very reasonably priced and you can choose to stay in a dorm or the safari tents which really cool, and nothing beats opening your tent to that view. Also very clean and quiet. There's also the choices to go wondering to neighbouring restaurants and bars, it always feels like a family! Dylan and staff run a tight ship and will go out of their way to make sure you're ok and enjoying your stay. I recommend the boat tours that they do and the rope swing!
