It's difficult to review this place as there's so many good things to mention. A different kind of world altogether and a true family! We spent 8 nights here at the Manta Resort for our honeymoon and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We felt lucky at first as we were upgraded to the ocean-facing room but this was only...

Spent 10 wonderful lazy days on Manta Resort in a Seafront Villa - wish i could have stayed forever... It is Robinson Crusoe feeling with all comforts - far far away from stress and hectic, but with lovely food, fantastic views - and wifi if one needs to be connected to the world. The staff is also part of what...

I could write a book about Manta and Pemba, there is so much to tell and so much more than we expected. From the minute we arrived we felt a sense of place and a connection to the people that are the Manta Family. As a couple we have travelled extensively and have been hosted by a long list of...

This is probably one of the most exclusive stays I've experienced since a very long time. The beach and ocean views are just breath taking, the underwater room is one of the most travel experiences on this planet and, the service is superbe and everything is extremely relaxed. Not overly luxurious. But overly relaxing. We didn't do that much, but...

Back to Pemba and The Manta Resort again. After entering the resort it took no more than a spicy ice tea, the sound of the waves and the horizon half way to Kenya to take down the pulse substantially. I still haven't found any place so efficient in creating stillness and still fill days - with diving, excursions and massage...

We spent two nights at Manta Resort in Pemba in October 2016 and had an absolutely fantastic stay. As we are living in the region we have stayed at many high end resorts but this one is definitely among the very finest ones, and the location is unbeatable. The private, white sand beach and pristine blue water was breathtaking. Everything...

How remote this resort is can be judged by the 20Km trip from the airport that takes one and a half hours in a four wheel drive. On arrival we were greeted by a number of staff and an individual was assigned to look after us for the whole 7 night stay. Service was very attentive with all food and...

We spent one week in Jan2017. Our travel agent said "secluded". You bet. Never more guests than employees. Service A1. Food: excellent (not excellent for Africa on a retired island. EXCELLENT period.) Well integrated with its social environment. They give work to people, they buy locally, they support projects in the neighbourhood (school, health) Say hello to Lucas and Meddy...

This was our third visit to the Manta Resort and many upgrades have been made since our last visit 14 months ago. Many of the rooms have been updated - the sea view villa that we stayed in had been remodelled to make it feel even more spacious and open with an excellent eco friendly and very quiet air conditioning...
