Visiting Huye
We had a very nice experience in Light House Hotel. The people, the food, the environment. (Next door is the forrest where you can walk many hours) Rooms are very nice. The view outside in some rooms is outstanding. The sport inside the Hotel with supercoach is very good. In short. Super

Nice hotel in Butare
We stayed here for a week in December. The staff were all so friendly. Breakfast was really good. There ate massages, a gum, and Sauna. The rooms were very big with a private room with a king bed and another private room for the kids. It had a simple kitchen and nice seating area. The back balcony overlooked the beautiful countryside with a small dirt road where we can see the local people walking. Some with goats, some with cattle, children playing etc. the people here are all so friendly! One day we even had monkeys come and hang out on the balcony- that was fun to see. We would stay there again! Special thanks to Noelle, Lydia and Yannick! Nice to make some new friends in Rwanda!

Well taken care of
We stayed here for almost two weeks and were treated like members of the family. The staff and manager looked after us, fed us and helped us to understand Rwandan culture. We would highly recommend the Lighthouse as a place to stay for long term stays in Butare. Good beds, hot water, great food and most of all, lovely people.
