Stayed here for a quick trip up to Lake Placid with some friends. Staff was very friendly and even honored same rate when we changed dates. Pool was nice for kids. Room was good size, bathroom could have been bigger. Hotel is undergoing updates due to new management which is a good thing. Lake Placid is all about location and this...

My family stayed at Lake Placid Summit Hotel during a recent visit during Christmas week. We had originally booked a double, but there was a suite available when we checked in, so we upgraded. The suite was 2 double rooms connected by a door, and that worked just fine for our family. Note that the upstairs rooms are accessed via...

The Summit is perfect for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. I stayed there for a college alumni conference. It was the perfect accommodations for the event. I loved the adjoining suite rooms, as well.

We asked for two adjoining rooms. We arrived to two rooms inside eachother, which worked for our group but might not for all. Our window looked into the sode of a mudslide, so we kept the curtains drawn. It was clean and cheap and close to town.

Booked a family suite for 2 nights - perfect! Non-smoking, 2 double rooms each with full bathroom with an inter-connecting door and single exit door. An under-counter sized fridge (VERY cold, our milk froze!) and small microwave which functioned well, despite looking fairly well-used. Neat flat-screen Tvs. Overall the property was of usual older-hotel cleanliness; it's under new management and...

I had trouble rating this hotel because there are some excellent things about it and some awful things about it. First the pros: The Summit Hotel has great access to the village. Just walk across the street and there you are. It's nice to park and not have to drive anywhere. Also, there is the price. This hotel is markedly...

Very nice hotel. Yes, it's getting updated, but I found the updating to be non-intrusive. We got the family "suite" which is really two rooms with a single entry/exit door. Two bathrooms with 6 people can't be beat though. We tried to stay an extra night, but alas, procrastination is not advisable. Our own fault. This was basically a place...

We booked 2 nights at this hotel for a wedding in December, we walked in, check in with the very friendly staff, but when we walked back to the room, we walked right back out and cancelled our reservation. If you are traveling from out of state, do yourself a favor and pay the extra $50 a night to stay...

Stayed three nights in a dog friendly room. Room was clean and beds water comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job taking care of our requests. Staff was friendly. Hotel is in walking distance to everything downtown. Will definitely stay here again.
