Nestled among the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains in the quintessential resort town of Lake Placid, Cobble Mountain Lodge is just emerging from a complete renovation and is ready to exceed your expectations. We offer many different sized cabins, from cozy spaces designed to accommodate two, up to large, multi-room cabins with kitchens designed to sleep 8. You'll be pleased to find authentic Adirondack style woodwork, fireplaces, air-conditioning, Simmons Beauty Rest mattresses, and more. In addition, we offer our cozy, authentic, motel-styled rooms, which can accommodate from 2 to 4 people, and are priced right to cradle you to sleep in the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains. Many improvements and continued renovations are planned for Spring 2017, including a brand new, on-site, secure building for gear storage such as bikes, skis and Ironman gear, and the addition of an outdoor pavilion with fireplace BBQ. We're the LAST hotel on the way out of town heading toward Whiteface Mountain, and directly across the road from the Lake Placid Club Golf Course.

We stayed here due to all the great reviews on this site. Still can’t figure out how they got all these. It’s a roadside, broken down old woodsman cabin / motel still under renovations. Our first morning we woke up to make tea or coffee - no tea bags, no coffee filters, no

We stayed in number 3 which is one of 5 units in one building. But the feel is like staying in an individual cabin. Everything is very simple and new looking. We had a camp fire last night out under the stars. There is also a gas fire pit under a roofed over patio. This

We rented Cabin 10 & for a couple it is perfect. Very clean and set up well for a couple. I would not recommend for anyone to stay in upper loft which has no head room & a ladder that is heavy & unsafe because it can drop off & hit someone, needs to be fixed so it can't. It

This lodge was very nice. We stayed in cabin 12. The beds were comfortable, the cabin was clean and modern. We only stayed for one night but it had plates cup, coffee maker, hot plate and a.microwave. It would be perfect for a week in the Adirondacks. Check in was a breeze and

Cobble Mtn Lodge is right on Rte 86. Good proximity to alot of the action. Depending on which portion of the Ironman you are referring to... It's about 1-2 miles to Mirror Lake (swim/run)... about 10 miles to Wilmington (bike start). Course goes right past lodge though. As for cooktops... the "hotel rooms" do not, but many of the cabins have kitchenettes and more.

Hi: Mirror Lake is about a mile north of Cobble Mountain Lodge, up Northwood Road. Good summer and fall canoeing, sheltered. Canoe rentals on Mirror Lake. There is a 100-yard, easy portage to Lake Placid at the north end of Mirror Lake. Many hiking trails in the area; the only difficulty is which one to choose. Lake Placid has good visitor info, and there are good guide books on hiking the Adirondacks. The most famous is the Northville-Placid trail. Hope this helps.
