A BOUTIQUE INN & THE MOST HISTORIC BUILDING IN LAKE PLACID A historic gem nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks, The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn offers a rustic and elegant getaway from everyday life. The Stagecoach Inn is the oldest building in Lake Placid built in 1833. Updated, the Inn has maintained its charm and comfort for the 21st-century traveler. Begin each morning with complimentary breakfast in the dining room, which includes homemade yogurt (a secret recipe!) and fresh pastries. Take your coffee to the Great Room, which boasts cathedral ceilings framed with yellow birch logs and warm up by the original fireplace. Hop in the car and drive ten minutes to the greatest winter sports destination in the northeast-- Whiteface Mountain. In the spring and summer, explore the trails through the picturesque Adirondacks. The Village of Lake Placid is minutes away and offers great restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

Fell in love with the history of the Inn and the adirondack decor. We stayed 2 nights in the Jenny Suite. Breakfast is a treat, especially the home made yogurt & fruit. The owners were very nice and we had a relaxing stay, highly recommend.

I have been coming to Lake Placid for 30 plus years and stayed at 5 star resorts and B&Bs. Last year, I was treated to a stay at The Stagecoach Inn and have since made it my go-to for lodging. It is so charming and the service is personal, made so by onsite inn keepers Suzie and Paul. They make every visit a wonderful experience. The interiors are a combination of rustic charm of larger B&B with professionalism of bigger hotels. A full breakfast is served every morning for all guests who sit at dining room table. Evenings include complimentary happy hour with fruit/meat/cheese and cocktails where Paul will share his stories of adventures around the world. I highly recommend The Stagecoach Inn when staying in Lake Placid. Anthony

We stayed three nights at this cozy inn, and really enjoyed talking with Paul, the owner, who is quite a storyteller and recommends restaurants, too. We had the Jenny Suite, which includes a small sitting area, and then because we were the only guests, we had all of the common rooms to ourselves also. We like the Adirondack style and enjoyed just looking at the furnishings in the inn. One afternoon it rained and I happily sat and read for hours in front of one of the fireplaces. Lake Placid is interesting, Mirror Lake is pretty, and we also took a short trip to Saranac Lake, which is not too far away. Lovely breakfast and conversation with Susie.

We had a great stay here and I highly recommend this lovely Inn. Loved all the charm that the property has to offer, such as the warm and cozy couches and chairs nestled near the fireplaces, tv's with 'on demand', great wifi, "happy hour" with yummy cheeses and wine, and even freshly baked brownies, and we also enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning. We had the "Martin Lyon" room, which consists of two rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds, which was perfect for our two teenage kids. A very comfortable sleep and just an overall pleasant stay here, we felt like we were the only people here. Paul and Suzy are great hosts, very friendly and accommodating. We were only here for one night, but we hope to return and stay a little longer next time.
