We have nothing but great things to say about our stay at Stagecoach. The inn is immaculately kept and full of interest and history. Our room was comfortable with a nice bed and shower, and we enjoyed relaxing in the common space browsing books about Lake Placid. Owners Stacia & Mike are excellent hosts, friendly and full of great recommendations for activities in the area and offering awesome breakfasts. Their staff - Laina and Nikki - is also awesome... friendly and informative. Daily happy hour is a nice touch. We'll definitely make this our regular stop for future visits to Placid!
We enjoyed using this B&B as our base to explore the area. It was centrally located and a great place to come back to each day during our week's stay. We enjoyed exchanging our thoughts about the area with other guests and the inn keeper. Lots of history in them there hills.
We really enjoyed our five night stay at the Stagecoach Inn. The Martin Lyon Suite was cozy and well appointed. Laina was sure to ask about our dietary preferences at check-in, and each morning she prepared a different delicious breakfast. The free happy hour from 5-6 each evening was a nice way to get to know the other guests, and really made the inn feel like a home away from home. We enjoyed hiking the many trails in the area, and hope to return again soon!
Just returned from a wonderful three night stay at the Stagecoach Inn. This is a small inn that really caters to its guests. Laina could not have been sweeter or more helpful, whether recommending a restaurant to eat at or a trail to hike, or providing forgotten toiletries. The breakfast she served was homemade every morning and delicious . The Free happy hour 5-6 with small snacks was a great way to relax after sightseeing and to meet the other guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again sometime soon.
We planned to stay only one night but were so impressed at the beauty of the inn and the quality of the service that we stayed 3. The inn is quiet and pleasant and has a very interesting history. The location is just far enough from the insanity of downtown/lakeside. The innkeepers were thoroughly welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us spending time around the outdoor fire-pit with us at night watching the night sky. In contrast to NYC in August the temperature wonderfully cool: we'll be back to see it in the snow!
