This was my first time staying at this property, having stayed in other locations when visiting Lake Placid. The Champagne was a nice touch at check-in (something the MLI doesn't offer, but the LPL does too). Si and Jon were my Front Desk Agents for check-in and departure and they were both very professional and accommodating. They ensured that I...

We enjoy High Peaks, very good location for walking around main street of Placid and to other events ! The Dancing Bear hits the spot for food and drink. Service people very friendly, room good for the most part. Bit of a problem with detail but nothing major ! Over all great place to stay !

Nice hotel with well appointed rooms which seem to have been recently refurbished. The twin rooms have beautiful views of Mirror Lake but the view is a little spoiled by overlooking roofs and other buildings. I wish I had realized that the hotel was dog friendly, I would have taken along our small dog who loves the outdoors and would...

I am currently staying at the High Peaks Resort, where I have stayed on numerous occasions for my December business weekend. Past trips have been enjoyable with a nice room and convenient parking, as well as a welcoming staff. This visit has been quite different. Upon check-in, I was told I was in another building around the corner from the...

We stayed in The Waterfront location. It was a king suite on the first floor with a balcony that was directly over hanging Mirror Lake. Nicely appointed rooms. The view is worth a million dollars. Sit on the balcony in your robe and take in the view with your morning coffee. The ducks come right up to the balcony in...

The High Peaks Hotel and restaurants are well above average. Romantic, cozy, warm are all the words I use to describe the High Peaks! Beautiful well appointed rooms, the rooms on Floors 3-5 have the most amazing sunrise views over the lake and mountains, gorgeous! I have stayed here 3 times and I will be back.

As soon as we walked into the main lobby, the room was filled with warmth and friendliness. The concierge was extraordinarily gracious, and everyone seemed happy to be there. Our waterfront suite was immaculate, modern and beautifully decorated. The bathroom being fully upgraded, with high-quality fixtures and designs. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable as well. However, the most imperative...

We have stayed at High Peaks several times before but are usually across the street at the lake level rooms. This was our first experience at the actual hotel. Check in and lobby area are always excellent. The champagne welcome is a nice touch! The room was nice as well as clean and everything worked. Coffee maker wasn't a Keurig....

Ideal spot right on main street. The hotel rooms are large, newly renovated it seems. Comfortable beds. Very nice bathroom. Good covered parking. Good view of lake. The lobby is large and quite nice. Thought the gym was good with ample equipment and not crowded. Some negatives would be if you don't like to hear dogs barking in the rooms...

Dear TopBloke999, Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. We are all very excited about our elevator modernization and are looking forward to opening the doors for the first time when it is complete! Dancing Bear Restaurant, our resort's restaurant, is a wonderful spot for breakfast and we are very excited to announce The Café in the Den will...
