When my wife, my one year old and I arrived tired from the days hiking experience, we were received in the most welcoming personally caring way. The great and clean room was not only individually equipped, a baby bed, a baby bath and toys were already prepared, completed with a List of places that provide take away food (as our...

Wonderful from start to finish for the 3 nights we stayed. Thierry was so friendly and his English was very good. Breakfasts were huge and included in the room rate - much of it made by Thierry or Marie. Views from the veranda were amazing and fantastic place to base yourself to see places and do some of the many...

We stayed 3 nights and loved every moment. Anyone who gives this B&B anything less than 5 is crazy! The owners are so friendly and go above and beyond. The rooms are clean, spacious and private (not to mention close up and become completely dark, heaven!) shower pressure great and hot! Free Wifi too. the breakfast each morning was a...

We got stranded in Cilaos (we came down the mountain hiking and had left our car in hell-bourg). As it's the high season, we couldn't get a rental car or a taxi - Thierry and Marie, owners of the bois Rouge spent more than 2 hours searching on the internet and making calls. Finally, Thierry offered us to drive us...

End October 2015, we stayed one night in B&B Bois Rouge in Cilaos, our departure for the hike to the Piton des Neiges. The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, very clean with a good bed. Breakfast was home made and delicious.

The owners could not have been more accommodating and welcoming! The lodging feels like home and is comfortable. Wifi is good, DVDs are available to help you relax after a long hike or canyoning, and the breakfast is outstanding. The location is perfect - a 5-minute walk to the tourist center where a lot of the tours pick up. Parking...

Super nice B&B, nice big rooms, owners so friendly, helpful and attending to all our needs and giving us all the information we needed. Amazing breakfast, great choice of fresh and homemade fruits and cakes and bread. The owner drove us to the start of the trail the next morning, 5 star service! We recommend highly

We stayed 2 nights at Le Bois Rouge and had a great time, enjoying hikes in the beautiful Cilaos area. The rooms are charming and well equipped, including a nice selection of DVDs to watch while relaxing after a long hike. Breakfast served on the terrace was wonderful with a wide variety of bread, cake, fresh fruit, and yoghurt. The...

We stayed at Bois Rouge for 2 nights and found it very quaint with a view over Cilaos (over a field). The breakfasts were great with many personal touches. We were able to speak very little French and the owners English was worse than our French. This was very interesting when asking them where the hiking trails started from!! However,...

Very nice place to stay in Cilaos, if you like B&B accommodation. Spacious rooms and nice service. We spend there only one night during our four day trekking. The location is near to GR, so it was easy for us to find it and to come back the next day to continue the route.
