Tekoma Boutik Hotel is a very good hotel in the island of Rodrigues. The front desk, the restaurant, the bar and the kitchen are contained in the main building. The rest of the hotel buildings consists of bungalows and it's in most of them where the rooms are located. In this respect, each one of the relevant bungalows include a bedroom and a bathroom, the bathtube being in the open air but blotted out from view. Since there is a considerable separation betwixt those bungalows and they are relatively far from the main building the peacefulness is assured in them. That certainly contributes to have a good sleep and in general a pleasant stay. The rooms, by the way, are very comfortable and there one has everything needed to have an enjoyable stay. The matresses have the adequate toughness to assure an appropriate rest. There is a fabulous view from the room windows over a part of the beach and the sea. Sometimes some domestic beasts such as sheep and poultry get close to the rooms. They can be seen through the windows, which is no doubt a nice view. The staff members are generally kind and helpful particularly Isabelle, who is one of the receptionists. She is a charming and affable lady who is always ready to attempt to solve any problem, sometimes even on her own initiative. Notwithstanding that, the efficiency of some members is not up to the standards. As an example thereof it may be pointed out that on the occasion of my first breakfast at the hotel I had to wait for about twenty minutes to have some fresh milk in order to eat the cereals. It's unbelievable but it occurred. In addition to that, the manageress leaves a lot to be desired. Based on the way how she looks sometimes when she thinks that one doesn't see her and how she behaves one may gather thar she isn't apparently a straightforward person. The atmosphere in the restaurant could be improved. There is nearly all the time an owful music there, something which one wouldn't expect in the Tropic of Capricorne. That's of course a nuissance hard to bear particularly during a meal. Thanks to the intervention of Isabelle at my request that disturbance ceased at breakfast time as of the second day there after that of my arrival. Apart from that, the decoration and lighting are very nice and aesthetic. The courses served for dinner are usually very good. As far as the breakfast is concerned there could be some more variety. Not everyday sweet tropical fruits are available. In this regard I also had to raise an objection. The beach is nothing extraordinary. There are many rocks at the bottom where there should be only sand. On the basis of the foregoing therefore it can be affirmed that the Tekoma Hotel is a very good hotel. It could be excellent if there were a change in the management and if some efforts were made to try to remedy the aforesaid little flaws.…
Was not a resident.. Only had lunch with my family there. The food was so delicious! I especially reccommend the ognion tart, the Curry of prawns and chicken and the sweet potatoe mousse. Reasonable prices for a 4* service! Nice staff!
Situated on the East coast of Rodrigues, very quiet place far from everything as if you were on the edge of the world! The room is very comfortable, cosy and fully equipped. We had a free 15 mins foot massage offered on arrival that was sooo relaxing! The staff in general is caring and always smiling :) I'm only looking forward to one thing its to stay at the Tekoma soon again!
Great hospitality and very nice room. Great beach in front. Hotel will benefit from expanding as there is only 16 rooms thus scarcity of choice for dinner or activities. Very nice staff and rooms are wonderful. However a bit far from Port Mathurin and the South of the islan
We spent 4 nights in this hotel and it was truely a nice experience . The location is perfect , situated on a hill where you can have a view over the horizon .Since the hotel is situated on a high ground its very windy at the sea and you might feel cold . The rooms are very neat and are big enough with outdoor bath . To my surprise deep cleaning is done the rooms and terrace on a daily basis . The staff are very polite and helpfull they even provide dinner in room . Dinner and breakfast is on menu a la carte basis . Food is very tasty and mouth watering the pickles and jam are unique . One of the best spa in the whole island . Would realy appreciate if night entertainement was available in the hotel and dinner could have been upgraded to buffet style . Will be back soon.
