We are glad to see the hotel recovering after the non existent Ebola crisis and the political unrest. I hope next season brings back the customers who regularly came in 2005/6. We have been coming twice a year to the Kairaba since the late 90's and nothing put us off returning. Although we have travelled to many other countries we...

The hotel itself is in need of an up date, having said that it was very clean and tidy. We did not spend much time in the hotel as we had made plans to visit local schools and families we support, but one of our favourite times was the time we did spend around the pool. Moyis Tamba who works...

We returned from this hotel ne week ago following our first trip to Gambia. First impression is that the hotel is looking a little tired. We booked a standard room ,but although it was clean we decided to upgrade to a deluxe room which was well worth the £140 charged for the week, although again the room was clean but...

The best hotel to stay and enjoy at affordable price. Awesome location, food and hospitality. Hotel Kaira beach at Anjuna is just an awesome place to stay. The sea view family room cannot be compared with an room of any hotel at Anjuna beach. Come once for experience and. Have lots of fun.

A good hotel - speak to Bafoday (the storyteller and attendant) at the beach. If you are very lucky, he will tell you the story about the coco nut! The swimming pool is apparently the largest in The Gambia and is certainly the best.

Lovely gardens, lovely birds, entertaining playful monkeys. The monkeys will sneak up and pinch the sugar if the opportunity arises at breakfast and we saw another sitting on the chair between two occupied sunbeds and helping itself to the peanuts at happy hour. Pool and pool area is very clean and there was no difficulty getting sunbeds. Pick your spot,...

We have just returned from our 6th stay at The Kairaba hotel. Under the new management things are improving, they have re-instated tea and cake at 4pm,cocktails with the management on a Monday evening and Happy hour with the Gambian bands at 5pm. The gardens are as immaculate as usual, the staff as friendly as ever and a great choice...

We have visited this hotel many times over the years and have seen tourism sadly deplete due to false perceptions of e bola and political issues beyond the control of the hotel. The hotel was beginning to look tired. The gardens remain magnificent with a wonderful array of bird and animal life. The staff is fantastic and service great. The...

Dear Jeanette, It is amazing how well informed you seem to be regarding tourism in The Gambia. The ebola dilemma was fraught with false perceptions. Despite all the challenges we are happy to note that our gardens and nature still has that special place in your heart. Thank you for your commendations regarding our staff who are so committed in...

Although we haven't stayed here for a couple of years we have been calling in for lunch during our recent holiday in Kololi .... I can really recommend the hotel for lunch by the pool. The staff are great, the food excellent for pool bar food and the price incredibly reasonable. We loved the large draft Julbrew in iced glasses...

Travel with Gambia Experience and stay at the Kairaba hotel you will not regret it. Yes it is a little bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. Just remember that it is not the ranking of five star as in England for which you will pay an extortionate amount of money, you are in a third world...
