Could be a good place but it really is a disaster. Hard to find things working in the room but the bed was comfortable but very noisy as the windows and patio door did not close or lock. I would say drop by to check out the old bar it is quite something. Don't go to the restaurant. Although it... More

We stayed at Dib Anbessa for 2 nights. The hotel badly needs renovation and a change in management. Our room was dark and humid. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom due to the fact the toilet sewage system directly connect with the one of the shower. There was litter outside of the room and it took me two... More

Dib Anbessa is the oldest hotel in the town. I chose it for its price range and location. An ensuite private room for the cost of a backpacker's pod was nice. Although rooms are a bit dated, the hotel's location and service is a big PLUS. The restaurant serves an authentic Ethiopian Food, something you can't afford to miss specially... More

The Hotel is located central in Bahar Dar. The atmosphere is good. Bar is nice. Food in restaurant is basic, not really great. The rooms need some renovation. Wifi in the bar was good. I paid 400 bir per night. Single room.

This Hotel is fairly priced for what they offer (complimentary break fast, wifi and good location). The wifi in the rooms may not be stable, but you have good one in the cozy bar and restaurant. If u want value for ur money, this is the place 2 be. There are other awesome hotels, but it comes with a cost.

I didn't stay here so can't comment on the hotel, but had a very pleasant lunch on the first floor balcony, distantly overlooking Lake Tana. We had traditional Ethiopian food, a kind of stir fried beef, and meat in a chick pea sauce, which is made of ground chick peas. Prices seem much of a muchness here so about $5... More

We moved to this hotel after a night in a horrible, more budget place. The rooms are spacious and light, though the bathrooms are in urgent need of restauration. But they clean the rooms every day and the bed was comfortable and clean. The biggest draw here is the included breakfast and its very helpful staff. They are always there... More
